Isn’t Blackburn’s Jason Roberts suspended for the first game?
[Reply]
I’m looking into this as some sources state that he is suspended. However Roberts got two yellows against Spurs last season, then served his one match ban in the final game. The FA site have no record of a suspension and yet on the Fantasy Premier League game they have him down as suspended.

Will Scharner play against Everton (not in BBC previews) ? Is he suspended or injured ?

This web site is the holy grail of fantasy soccer information…
Regards from Toronto, Canada.
P.S. It is good enough to ask for voluntary ‘contributions’ to its running.

Now it seems Tevez has completed his move to Manchester Utd does this mean he’ll be playing tommorow, or will he be on the bench?
[Reply]
I expect Scharner to play tomorrow and the next game (M.Brown is available after that) but not sure he’ll be a regular (yet), due to the 3 defensive, and 2 midfield signings make by Hutchings over the summer.

Hi Roger. Scharner is expected to take Brown’s spot in midfield. I’ve not heard of any injury at this point but I’ll check. Steve 0-0 is spot on, Scharner is going to be competing for a place in central midifield with Brown and Landzaat so is unlikely to be a regular. For the first two games however, he’s worth a punt.

Why are you changing the predicted lineups after the game… that dosent give a fair impression ?
[Reply]
Hi Michal. They’re changing to reflect the predicted lineups for the next games given today’s lineups, injuries etc. All the team news updates immediately if I get the chance, saves me time later on and allows me to make predictions while I have the lineups from the last game in mind. Not sure what’s unfair about that - I’m not giving the impression I’ve got things spot on as the “Next match” changes to show which game the prediction applies to. Out of date predictions aren’t much use to anyone, unless you want to test my prediction skills. I’m not running this site as a test - that wouldn’t be much fun for me

Mark, brilliant website. This is what I have been searching for. Keep up the good work. A couple of questions though?
1. What do you think happened to Jagielka? I was convinced he would play?
2. I noticed Arbeloa played for Liverpool? Do you think he will be a regular feature of their back four in the league this season?

Hi Tom. I’m surprised about Jagielka. I really thought he’d get the nod in midfield with Neville at fullb-back or vice versa. Now it seems he faces a struggle, which is odd given that Moyes chased and invested in him. Perhaps Baines’ debut and an away game at Spurs could shake things up with Everton’s formation. We’ll have to see in midweek.
Arbeloa does appear to be a good bet for around 25-30 games because he can play right or left full-back. So he’ll either be played left to allow Riise to move forward, or right to rest Finnan. That will depend on Babel though. If he catches fire, then Riise should get the nod at left-back which will limit Arbeloa’s appearances. Right now, while Babel settles, he seems to be good buy. Might change in a month or so though.

Absolutely shocked re: jagielka - is he really destined for the bench for the next few weeks at least???
