Keane waiting on Edwards injury
Roy Keane is waiting on results from today’s scan on the hamstring injury to Carlos Edwards. The winger pulled up after a 60-yard run and cross which led to Stern John hitting the bar in last night’s game and was forced to hobble off. Keane is now hoping the scan will reveal just a strain which will mean anything upto a 2-week absence. However a torn hamstring would keep Edwards out for around 6-weeks.
Edwards caught the eye in last night’s game, earning the 3 bonus points in the Premier League Game and is certainly a potential target for Fantasy Managers when fit.

Anybody know what the results of this scan were? How many weeks is he expected to be out?

I have just read this from Keano so I may be transferring him out for now…
SUNDERLAND will be without winger Carlos Edwards for a month.
The winger limped off with a hamstring problem five minutes from time in the Black Cats’ 2-2 draw at Birmingham on Wednesday, and boss Roy Keane confirmed today a scan has shown the damage will keep him out for four weeks.
Keane said: “Carlos will be out for a month, which is bad news for us and bad news for Carlos.
“It’s just one of those things and it just goes to show why you need a strong squad of players.
“Hopefully we’ll be OK without him, and in a couple of weeks we’ve got a two-week break coming up, so with any luck he will be ready to return after that.
