Cahill returns to inspire Everton win
Tim Cahill made his first appearance in an Everton shirt this season and scored the first of three Everton goals in their UEFA Cup victory over Larissa. Cahill was a driving force and constant menace, bombing forward form midfield to support McFadden as Moyes opted for a 4-5-1 formation.
Cahill was eventually subbed on 65-minutes but he now seems likely to lineup once more as Everton visit Derby at the weekend. He undoubtedly represents a major temptation for Fantasy Managers, having hit 5 goals in his 17 appearances last season - another season broken up by injuries. If he can stay fit, Cahill seems likely to improve on that tally, particularly if Moyes persists in playing him behind a lone striker. Cahill is currently priced at 7.3 million in the Fantasy Premier League Game having dropped from 7.5 million whilst sidelined. In the Fantasy League Ltd games meanwhile he is priced at 4.4 million, a less appealing price given that Fabregas is available for 4.5 million.

Any news on Evra’s injury anyone

Also does anyone know if Arbeloa will be fit as well as Evra?
Cheers.

I presume Evra will undergo a late fitness test having pulled out of the warm up in Man United’s game against Kiev mid-week. Arbeloa is fit, as far as I’m aware. The problem is Rafa’s ridiculous rotation policy, which is giving every fantasy manager with Liverpool defenders a bad headache!

Is it sure that Cahill will be in the starting-lineup om saturday? I am considering him on Fantasy PL…

On*

According to the BBC website (not the best I know), they said Evra should be fit. However, if there football forcasting is as inaccurate as their waether reports, who knows.

or even ‘their’..

Actually Arbeloa does have a slight knock. If he was fit he would definitely been in action recently. Not sure what his status is at the moment, but to blame Rafa’s rotation policy is just stupid. If Arbeloa was good to go, he would at the very least have been on the bench at Besitkas. Don’t be an idiot, Rafa would have started him over Hyypia in that match if he could have.

Not sure Arbeloa would ever be a centre back option ahead of Hypia, Carragher and Agger? I know he has played centre back before but I think the key is now that Finnan is getting a run of games and Riise is being dropped back from his midfield role while Aurelio has become an additional factor. I just have a feeling Arbeloa’s days may be numbered. Any views anyone?

Arbeloa is selected ahead of Risse at left back in my mind (Pool supporter as well as a big time player and mover maker in the FF world
When fit, Arbeloa should walk back into that spot. Better than Riise defensively and the fact that Rafa never dropped him once goes to show. Riise is LB cover or midfield from now on.
Hold on to Arbeloa if you have him.

P.S. Just wanted to say thanks and respect for the great job you are doing Scout. I thought I was in too deep, but you take the biscuit.
Top job.

To the man called “Brian”. Easy big man, nobody here is an idiot. We all have opinions and some of us know how to be polite. Arbeloa does have a knock which may be cleared by Sunday but I doubt Benitez would use him at centre back.
To “My Time is Now” - its isn’t. However, I agree with you.
To The Scout - this site is superb and just what we have been waiting for. I can imagine how much time it takes you to keep it going.
To you all - what does this thread have to do with Cahill?
[Reply]
On the subject of Cahill - do we show him in now and take advantage of the potentially easier game at Derby, or do we hold on and let him prove his form and fitness?

this site could do with a forum

I’ve gone for it and transferred Cahill in - couldn’t resist whilst he’s cheaper!
My FPL midfield is now Ronaldo, Fabregas & Elano, Cahill with Dempsey on my bench. Only thing for me to solve now is who to have as captain

‘My Time is Now’ thanks for the advice. I’m sticking with Arbeloa for now.
Did anyone watch the Fulham game today? Has Dempsey now been moved back into Midfield? If yes I may get rid and do a swap for Kapo as my cheap option? Views or advice from anyone on this conundrum would be appreciated.
