McCarthy fit for Villa clash
Benni McCarthy has passed a fitness test and is available for tomorrow nights game with Villa at Ewood [source]. McCarthy suffered a gashed knee and was subbed after just six minutes against Fulham at the weekend but is running freely and available to Hughes. The news will come as much relief to those managers who invested in the striker in Blackburn’s double gameweek.
Derbyshire also passed his fitness test today, Dunn is back from suspension and Santa Cruz is expected to reclaim a starting role having rested following his return from International duty with Paraguay.

woo hoo! all is not lost for wee benni the captain

Oh well, nevermind, at least villa kept a clean sheet. Annoying that he did score but was harshly given offside.
