Richardson blow for Black Cats
Sunderland have lost Kieron Richardson for “two to three weeks” to a hamstring injury according to Roy Keane [source].
Richardson was absent from the team sheet yesterday having sparkled with a brace against Portsmouth last weekend from a new central midfield position. However he picked up an injury in training and was unable to take up the same role against Spurs.
The midfielder has missed the majority of the season with a serious back injury but his goals against Portsmouth hinted at the form he was capable of and alerted fantasy managers to his potential as a mid-price option.
His absence is a bitter blow to Keane who has already lost Ross Wallace for the season with another training ground injury. It now looks as though Murphy , who started in Richardson’s position yesterday, will have the opportunity for further starts until Richardson’s return against Wigan on February 9 or perhaps more realistically, Portsmouth on February 23.

I wondered where he had gone. I was going to scout his performance yesterday to see if he was good enough to be in my team. Decision made, thanks.
It looks like Sunderland are going to struggle now.

What a bargain the Spurs keeper Cerny is at 3.9million. Savings to be had and he looked good between the sticks yesterday.

Is there a clause in Baines’s contract that forbids him from playing against his old club? I noticed he didn’t even make the bench today.

well spotted yer dad… but will Cerney keep his place? I know Robinson may leave. Also is it worth having a Spurs defender?? Dodgy defensive record etc!

When I said “Spurs defender” I meant “spurs keeper”

Another crap week at the office….
Need some serious changes- why are all of Fabregas, Cahill and Bentley not firing? And every match report I read credits Petrov with the assist for Man City and says he was the major threat but no points or bonus for the balding Bulgarian..

all I need to know noe is if Cerny is going to stay first GK or not

I’m going to make Cerny and Hart my two keepers… amazing value don’t ya think?!
