   Is transferring Cech out for Reina worth a 4-point hit? Gee he looks so tempting with Agger and Carragher returning to bolster the defence. Wouldn’t be too surprised if Pool got 2 cleanies!

   I wouldn’t have said so. Cech looks very strong over the next set of fixtures - he’s top of my rankings for next five weeks. Reina offers potential this week but Bolton will be tough. Megson will chuck set-pieces and long-throws at them and Reina could easily concede. Don’t get me wrong, Liverpool are worth investment for the double GW but a 4 point fee with Cech going out seems a little too much to risk.

   I have big rotation problems this gameweek.
   at the moment this is the team:
   James
   Jagielka/ Senderos / Carragher
   Ronaldo /Bentley /Noble /Gerrard(c)
   Banjani /SantaCruz /Berbatov

   This looks ok but it leaves Vidic, Ball and Muamba on the bench with both Vidic and Ball with favourable fixtures. is this wise?! Who would you play? please help..

   Clarkey,I would replace Senderos with Vidic,chances of Arsenal clean sheet is very slim against an attacking Aston Villa side.Vidic v Fulham look way more favourable than Senderos v Villa,also Vidic is a big aerial threat against a weak defence,Other than that Jagielka is sound enough,Ball and City have been terrible for clean sheets and Muamba and Blackburn,while improving is less likely to keep clean sheet…

   i think that arsene will play walcott more and build on his momentum , that by replacing eduardo he delivered. Until walcott messes it up, gets injured or van persie returns he should have more of a role in the team, Bendter’s problems with adebayor should not be taken lightly , the lack of communication shows up continously on the pitch.

   The ManU v. Bolton game has been rescheduled for Weds 19th March (assuming there won’t be a Cup replay).

   This means Chelsea, Spurs and ManU all have a double gameweek in GW 30.

   Cerny or Howard this weekend? Hows spurs defence looking ahead of Birmingham away? I also have two everton defenders in my line up though, maybe should play it safe with Cerny but Evertons defence has been solid of late (4 cleans on the trot!) and last conceded at home to Arsenal no less back in Dec.

   Howard is the best keeper in the game at the moment on current form and with a great defence in front of him, there isn’t a better way to spend 5m in my opinion.

   Cerny is going to be benched for Robinson for the rest of the season I would predict.

   Iv got a strikers problem, Defoe or Ashley Young? Defoe goes up against an awesome Everton defence at the moment and Young is against the gooners. Arsenal’s defence looks dodgy at the moment with Toure out but Portsmouth seem to be playing well away from home

    Mark (or anyone), can you recommend a good defender in the FPL game for £5.4m or below? (Already have 3 everton and wheater) need the spare cash for torres this weekend.

    was thinking woodgate or hutton as spurs have looked a much much better defensively recently, likeliness of bonus points (especially woodgate) and the upcoming double gameweek. Or is there any team who are particualrly good at home defensively as I can use him as a ’supersub’ given ive a decent starting 11 - hence if he’s injured this week thats not a problem. Im leaning more towards woodgate as he’s more likely to get bonus points (when he plays)

    cheers - again top work with the site, loving the changes. (consistently disproving the theory ‘if it aint broke dont fix it’)

    CK - IMO I’d go ronaldo, tho Gerrard plays twice he’s not really done much recently and Ronaldo could produce another 18 pointer against fulham.

    Personally i’m going for gerrard.

    I’m close to the top of my league. everyone has ronaldo but only a couple with gerrard.

    my other concern is anelka….who should I replace him with?

    I already have adebayor and jones.

    Should I swap for tevez or go down to say benjani and upgrade a defender?

    adebayor for young perhaps. or yakubu. perhaps also cerny for robinson (dont think cerny gonna start anymore) or howard as everton are solid defensively. at very least get jagielka or even lescott as evertons run is very easy…

    I’m playing A. Ferdinand despits his crappy fixtures and thinking of playing Murphy as he’s on form and playing Derby. But benching Laursen and Larsson makes me nervous.

    dropping vidic this week as united have no game to following week.

    I have Hyypia in my team. Is it likely that he will play the next 2, 3 or 4 matches? Pool have 3 central defenders in Carra, Hyypia and Skrtel. Will Skrtel be picked instead of Hyypia?

    I have just got rid of Tevez again for Torres. So, when I get rid of him he scores and when I buy him he doesn’t. Hope that helps Puffinboy.
    Also, I liked Torres’s hair better than Tevez’s new style.

    Hairstyle seems a reasonable enough way of choosing a player, YD. I don’t mind if Tevez is rested completely but I wouldn’t want him coming with 10 minutes left and Utd leading 0-4.

    Barry, I’d be very surprised to see Finnan play in both. I’m going to bite the bullet, spend the big cash and get the only outfield defender that’s ‘certain’ to - Carragher.

    About captaincy..
    Liverpool will play at 2,5 (double GW), 8, 11(CL) of March.
    Hmm.. Gerrard for sure will play all those games ..
    What about Torres? Will Rafa be afraid that Torres might get injured on the 3 close games before CL?

    I’m still searching for news about Pienaar. All that I got from google news is he’s still in recovery from the bug.
