Editing Comments Is Go
I made a few changes to the site on Saturday evening/Sunday morning, the most signficant of which is the edit comments feature. I’ve also made some fancy-dan colour changes and added a nice little ticker at the top of the page listing some useful stats. Read on for a description on how to kill comment spelling errors dead once and for all…
You can now all edit your comments posted for 30-minutes after you make the orginal post. Simply click on your comment text and wait for a short loading time. You can then make edits and save the new version. You can’t completely delete your comments though, so if you post something like “You’d be mad to make Gerrard captain this week after what Rafa said”, you can’t get rid of it.
After the 30-minutes is up, you won’t be able to edit, the idea being that it’s here to help posters correct spelling or to rephrase their post rather than change your opinion on something you’ve commented on 24-hours later.
You’ll need javascript enabled to get this feature but I’m guessing that’s 90% of you lot. Feel free to use the Contacts page to mail me if you have any problems with it.

hey Mark

I tend to write outrageously rude things and wait until the edit window has just a few seconds left before I change them…
Gives me a massive adrenaline rush.
You should have seen the insults I was giving yer dad before I edited them… They’re not really repeatable in polite society.
Yer dad- I’m… I’m sorry, ok? (sobs, runs away crying)

I’ve never said anything mean, never said anything I’ve regretted and never made a spelling mistake, so this function is redundant for me.
PS Isn’t it time you got an avatar, OG, you total *%£*er?
Bollocks, meant to remove that comment but the adrenaline rush overcame me.

hi mark - as usual, nice improvements to the site. (On my screen, the ticker at the top is quite hard to see on the green though.)
Quick question: as we’re entering the part of the season where lots of the usual suspects seem to get rested, do you have any general advice on planning for the coming weeks? For example, would you say a stronger-than-normal subs bench is needed at this time of year? I’m weighing up whether to spread my budget around rather than rely so heavily on the high-priced players.

Thinking ahead for the double game week next week lads - its a vital week cos it could mean lads close gaps in small leagues!
Mark - it might be worth looking at this in depth. ie: Who to bring in and not.
Eg: United sub keeper may play both games?! That could be a nice return for 4.3m!

Did you overtake him with a sneaky move up the inside under braking at Stowe? And can you reveal your identity to us - I reckon you’re either Damon Hill, Julian Bailey or Ben Collins. Or perhaps there are many Stigs…

Yep, something has gone haywire with the site in Internet Explorer. It’s fine in Firefox.
Nothing I can do from work but I’ll restore an older version from backup from home later this evening.

I’m getting rid of him this week. I doubt very much he’ll be playing against Derby and what good is having a Chelsea defender if he doesn’t even play Derby?
Get rid.
Carvalho and Terry are the only certainties Chelsea-defence-wise…

Yeah that whole right hand column has disappeared entirely in IE! Honestly Mark if you need a web developer to sort this site out mate, you only need ask
also I get a stinky browser scrollbar at the page bottom - width is out I reckon
Anyways fellas I’ve already done 3 FPL transfers for the big gameweek getting in Carvalho, Ballack and Joe Cole - really toying with the idea of cashing in on Laursen for Hutton and take a 4pt hit leaving me with a few pennies in the bank to get a semi-decent keeper in between the sticks good idea or bad I think the transfer would pay for itself given Spurs are in the double gw too?
