Host Transfer For The Scout
You may experience some downtime in the next 24-48 hours as I transfer the site to a new server host. I’ve not been happy with my current hosts and today I’ve migrated the site to a new one that should result in some faster speeds and greater reliability.
We may lose some comments in the move as I’ve had to migrate the database earlier today. Apologies for this - I may be able to add lost comments once we’re fully up and running with the new host.
Hopefully they’ll be no problems aside from this and downtime will hopefully be kept to a minimum.
Ta for your patience.
*Update* It looks as though the promised downtime was avoided and that the site is now fully transferred to the new host - complete with much faster page load times. There are a few text bugs to sort out in the Database but nothing major. Fingers crossed for no problems going forward. Again, thanks for your patience.

sounds good mark.
glad to hear speed will increase.
thought it was just American secret service that was slowing down things on my end.
enjoy the weekend

Well it looks like folk are being pointed to the new host already - so much for 24-48 hours. That’s good news - all seems well so far apart from the lost comments.
The speed has been bad in the last month - I’m amazed nobody has mentioned it - you’re all obviously a very patient bunch so thanks for sticking around when it got more than a little tiresome.
This new host already looks a lot nippier though (judging by performance so far) so the site should have a good platform for the redesign in the summer.

Well done Mark. I always assumed that it was just down to the sheer popularity of the site!
To be honest I was amazed that no one else ever mentioned it (I believe this is what annoying idiots refer to as “the elephant in the room”). I nearly did but thought that would just have been rude seeing as though my posts on the site have been so limited and seeing as you’d dedicated so much effort in to everything. And you know what they say about the best things coming to those who wait.
Keep up the good work dude.

Great to see the website much faster, thanks Mark.
Also, do you know what the situation with Huddlestone is? I bought him because of Spurs’ good fixtures and he’s cheap but do you know whether he’ll be in the side or not, because I only got 1 point from him today.

Looks tough for Huddlestone - Jenas did well today according to early reports so he’s likely to be struggling for starts unless Ramos starts rotating him with Zokora or Lennon, which is a possibility.

Excellent, a Ferrari has replaced the Sinclair C5. With the added bonus of losing all that Grand National off-topic guff from yesterday…

Micheal Jackson, I will dangle you from a balcony. Good job I rang Tito and he reminded me that you had already lost the plot before I swapped Ronaldo.

Perhaps that fella said ronaldo wouldnt be playing in an attempt to gain an advantage over every one else in our fantasy league?
After trying to be different and cpt berbs last week, I gave ron his armband back this week…then Berbs goes and scores 9.

I look forward to Ron and the Jackal linking up for a couple this afternoon. Yes, I’ve given up hope of Utd losing the title, and Chelsea would be little consolation anyway.
Ron goal already

You should get in Andy Reid for Huddlestone, he’s picked up 11 FPL bonus points in 4 games. He’s like a fat fabregas
