Torres and Carragher Benched

As expected, Rafa has made an array of changes to his side for visit to Fulham. Gerrard misses out with a neck injury (honest), while Torres and Carragher have been rested to the bench.

Voronin and Crouch start up front as predicted. Hyypia, Riise and Arbeloa come into the defence and Mascherano replaces Gerrard in midfield. Pennant and Benayoun slot into the wide positions for Kuyt and Babel.

Megson must be chuffed.

  4. I thought I did bad this week notching up just 53 points.
Then I found out that in my league of 38, I got the third highest score, the highest two being 56 and 55.

  6. I wanna bring in an Arsenal defender this week so will have to get rid of Terry OR Brown… Which one is best to get rid off? (Thinking about last 3 games)

I’d say keep Terry, he has a better chance of picking up bonus points, and more likely to keep a clean sheet for Saturday’s early kick-off. He’s also due a goal before the end of the season.

Although Arsenal are clearly going to win at the weekend, I can see Derby nicking a goal from a corner. But I’m expecting a big haul from Fabregas, and he’ll be my choice of captain this week.

Interesting views Al! I was really keen on an Arsenal defender for rest of season but not so sure now!! Not convinced that Derby will score this weekend but agree on the rest

I don’t think Derby will score. An Arsenal defender is the sensible move, as is captaining Fab and washing your hands of the Chelsea v Man U minefield.
Yes, I know I’ve said so in another thread, but that’s for all the goldfish out there.

The goldfish who don’t have the heap of non-playing crap that is Gerrard still in their team.
Other priorities for me this week…

  7. Which gunners defender best to take in then? Clichy?

I don’t think there’s much difference between Clichy, Toure and Gallas - I’d go for the latter as I think he’s the likeliest scorer, especially if Toure’s doubtful (and he’s 0.2 cheaper, but 0.1 more than Clichy). No need to decide until Saturday though, it’s not as if their prices will change much, if at all.

  8. Aye I’ll wait, but Clichy is edging it for me especially because as you say Toure has question marks
