Wenger Considering Fabianski
According to a report in the Mail, Wenger is toying with the idea of starting with Lukasz Fabianski in goal for the remaining games of the season.
Arsenal have Almunia nursing a thumb injury, whilst it’s widely anticipated that Lehmann will leave the club in the summer. Such a decision on Wenger’s part would certainly interest fantasy managers given the Arsenal fixture list. The Gunners take on Derby, Everton and Sunderland over the final three games. There’s already plenty of interest in the Arsenal defence this week with the Derby game beckoning - Fabianski could well offer a very cheap option in goal should this report be confirmed.

Ah! My worst fears are confirmed! I don’t suppose you looked into this on my mention Mark? Or is that just me full of self-importance perhaps…
Rubbish, what a waste of a transfer Almunia was

Tough one. The story is repeated on several sources but there are no quotes to support it. I would say we’ll need to wait for more evidence before considering acting on it. I’ll keep sniffing around this one and keep you posted.

on Lehmann staying in goal…
“I don’t know yet, I maybe want to play Fabianski in the last games, I give one to Fabianski. I wanted to play Lehmann today [against Reading], especially because I wanted him to play at home and he has been an extremely great keeper for us. What I do for the remaining games, I have to decide.”
