Ronaldo has announced that he is to stay at Old Trafford for at least another season. The statement comes from an article due in Publico, a Portugese magazine, which will be published in full tomorrow.
According to the article, Ronaldo will stay with United but hasn’t given up the dream of player for Real Madrid at some point in his career. This latest news compounds the statement made by Alex Ferguson earlier this week and brings the saga to a close at last.
Time to plan that mid-season “Ronaldo strategy” then.

Just want to seek the concenus view
Who is going to start in between the sticks:
1) Bolton – Jaski or Al Habsi?
2) Boro – Turnball or Jones (or Steele – annoyingly not an option in FPL)?
In both cases the former is more established but the latter is the better/form player it would appear…
1) Dunno, Turnball at a guess.
2) Jaski. I think he is much better than al habsi.
Only those with Gerrard will have a hope of upgrading to Ronaldo. £14M at the moment is impossible to find.
oops
Howdy, been fondling my team for a few weeks now. What do all you learned fantasy footballers think?
REINA (schwarzer)
CARVALHO – EVRA – SAGNA (wheater figueroa)
FABREGAS – YOUNG – M.PETROV – BULLARD (de ridder)
KEANE – ANELKA – ZAKI
Is this Zaki fellow going to start?
Regards,
Rob
great… now we have news that C.Ron will be staying…
Now i need to make sure i have 500 million in the bank to transfer him in when he finally gets fit…
was hoping he was going to leave so that people with no idea about fantasy league wouldn’t earn mega points for having him captain every week
Am i going mad or has the FPL game’s cap on players from the same team been increased from 2 to 3 in the last few days?
Yep, your going mad….. its always been 3.
Oh my.
On the topic of midfielders (albeit not in the same financial bracket as C-Ron!)… I note that Faubert has crept onto the bottom of the Scouts midfield picks. Faubert has been part of my tentative team since the outset but I was keeping quiet about him – thinking (and hoping) he might be my secret weapon! But seeing as Mark has let the cat out of the bag I might as well reinforce what the ‘Scouts Pick’ table already says – which is that he looks like very good value (5.5 in FPL) and that West Ham have favourable early fixtures. Certainly worthy of consideration.
I know what you mean about Faubert, been dithering between him and Noble for a while now but so far reckon Noble will be a more solid bet…
Completely agree about Faubert… I reckon he’s a more attacking option than Noble and seems to have been taking corners in pre-season. But Noble is more of a safe bet. I’ve never been sure about the WHM line-up but i think they’re both good early-season investments for £5.5m
What do you guys think is better (assuming all are fit):
1) Jaski, P.Neville, Yak attack
2) Howard, Bosingwa, Elmander
Dr. Rog – Number 2 mate assuming Elamander is as good as they say he is! You obviously know Boswinga isn’t supposed to be fit, therefore perhaps start with line up 1 with a plan to move to line up 2 after EVE have played their easy games.
is really with reference to the first 4-5 games – after that i’ll be switching into spurs/portsmouth players anyway
