Ashton All Clear

by Mark on August 19

It looks like Dean Ashton has been given the all clear on the calf injury suffered in the 2-1 win over Wigan at the weekend.

Ashton limped off after 73 minutes amidst fears that he had suffered a calf strain but scans have revealed no damage and Ashton apparently felt no ill effects on Monday. He is due to return to training on Tuesday and will hopefully take the field against City next weekend.

The West Ham striker ranks highly on many fantasy managers shopping list after hitting the brace of goals that won the encounter with Wigan.

In FPL i’ve dropped Tevez for Dean Ashton and freed up some much needed £££ for my midfield which is looking dire. Also Man U aren’t playing in week 3 so thought i’d better trim down.

My front 3 combo of Adebayor-Bent-Tevez didn’t quite work as planned at the weekend :( … rubbish start.

I had the exact same forwards. Looked like a good idea, but was not. I am still going to keep them next week though.

does anyone have any ideas how the “crack the code” website works with regard to players values? I’ve had a look on the site and can’t really get my head round it. I read in a previous thread that it wasn’t working properly yet, does anyone know if this is true? I’ve looked on the “price changes” section but can’t see how you would use the information to your advantage.

Can someone (Dr. Rog??) repost the link to the FISO site please, i couldn’t get it to work last time. Thanks

I’ve found the links, they are (rather obviously) on Marks links and resources page of this site. It would appear that crack the code is being updated at the moment and if i understand it correctly, we should see Ashton increase in value overnight. Alex would appear to be only 300 net transfers out, away from a fall in price.

Anyone know how I see the transfers IN and OUT in the FPL game?

Go to the transfer screen and then scroll down to the bottom of the list.

Since this is a thread about a forward, what are the chances that Drogba pushes Anelka to the bench this weekend against Wigan? Anelka has pretty good stats versus Wigan over the last two years. In only one match did he fail to register a goal or an assist if not both. Nicolas seems to have Wigan’s number.
