Paul Ince has confirmed that Roque Santa Cruz has suffered a recurrence of the Achilles injury he suffered in pre-season but is hopeful that the striker will return to action after the international break.
Santa Cruz pulled up in the first half of Saturday’s defeat at Upton Park and was duly subbed.
“He will be out for probably ten days to two weeks,” revealed Ince.
With the international break upon us, it would seem that Santa Cruz has a chance of making a return for the Arsenal game on September 13. He’ll clearly be a doubt though and that might be enough to see plenty of his fantasy owners ship him out with plenty of decent alternatives around.

I don’t know why, I never trusted this season’s BR. I prefered Zaki watching him playing Chelsea. I was right and thankfully before his price rise. Now I am eyeing Giovanni Do Santos. The Spurs gonna improve, I am sure about this and he is a great player. When they will find their role in the squad and he will find his part of the job I am sure he will be a star. But I can’t wait to hear that Berba is a ManU player to bring him in. He is the missing part of that puzzle.
Greek fan- Spurs could hardly get worse at this point! I think they will continue to be a bad bet defensively, but will gradually find their goal scoring boots.
I too am desperate for Berbs to go to ManU, having taken -0.3M hit on him so far…
