Tottenham came into this game with the season’s best Premiership away record and the proclamation of captain Robbie Keane that they are “certainly even” with their North London rivals. By full time, Harry Redknapp, if looking for any crumb of consolation from this derby defeat, can cling to the fact that the corresponding fixture last season saw them concede four at the Emirates. Here’s a look at some key aspects of the weekend game:
A Lesson In Containment
For as much as Arsenal racked up another three goals (finding the net twenty times in five home games now), it was his defence that Arsene Wenger took time out to praise: “The back five did very well, we didn’t give any chances away and during a difficult period of the game they kept us in it.”
This chalkboard illustrates the manager’s point precisely: the defence had very little clearances to make before Arsenal went two goals up, and despite Spurs exerting much more pressure on their opponent’s defence afterwards, the home team dealt with anything thrown at them with efficient ease.
On the other hand, Spurs’ dodgy defending made them masters of their own downfall, and once Arsenal were two goals ahead, the game was as good as over.
This chalkboard, comparing the Gunners winning tackles before and after the two-goal burst, shows how Arsenal battled for the ball higher up the pitch far more before the opener. Once the quick brace was scored, Fabregas and Diaby in particular had less challenges in the final third, as the hosts remained more compact.
For as much as Arsene resorted to jacket-throwing when his words were lost in the crowd’s frenzy, his team seemed to have learned their lesson from last week at West Ham.
This chalkboard compares their interceptions after going two up against Spurs compared to when they took a two goal lead at Upton Park last week. They kept their shape better, with practically all their interceptions coming in the centre of the middle third, and didn’t take risks by chasing the ball unnecessarily.
Abou Diaby
Not only did Diaby’s challenges change once the second goal went in, his positioning on the park altered as the Gunner’s strove to shut up shop, as this chalkboard comparison illustrates. Sitting beside Alex Song as more of a protective shield, Diaby saw much more of the ball, playing short, simple passes that helped his team retain possession and hammer home their dominance.
With Denilson’s continued absence, Diaby (5.8m in FPL) is almost a guaranteed starter at present for Arsenal, and sits behind only Van Persie and Fabregas in terms of Arsenal’s goal attempts, with seventeen shots so far this season.
Van Persie
Wenger has recently also been full of praise for Robin Van Persie, saying..
“He is the kind of player, with the type of game we play, who is vital because when you play the ball to his feet his first touch is always perfect and that allows others to join in”.
This chalkboard compares his passing in Saturday’s game with last year’s derby draw. With Arsenal’s change in tactics this season, Van Persie’s role has altered. Although he’s the lone centre forward in the system, the Dutchman isn’t asked to lead the line; instead his passing is further away from goal as he links up play, creating space for others to run into, one of the reasons for the form of Cesc Fabregas this season.
A Word on Arshavin
Arsene Wenger’s pre-match premonition that the little Russian would have a big impact on the game was not quite correct, as Cesc and Robin again ran riot. Arshavin did have five goal attempts, though; the same number as Van Persie. The intriguing aspect is that all his attempts came while Nicklas Bendtner was on the pitch, as this chalkboard illustrates. Once Eduardo replaced the Big Dane, Arshavin ceased to be a goal threat.
This was, however, more goal attempts than in any other league game this season, a possible sign that the pre-season (now 10.8m) FPL favourite is now finally getting into his stride.

4 point hits are the sort of thing I tend to do – which is probably why I am outside the top 20k now (after being up at 169th way back when I knew how to be lucky!)
With all your cash, you could get rid of Bent for RVP – but it looks like you’ve had Bent since the start, so you may not like that idea.
Ade has probably been waiting for this game for a while now – he’ll probably do a Drogba once he finds the net again, and City have a lot of easy fixtures coming up (but you could argue that they’ve just had 4 easy fixtures)
that was for BertUK
Yeah Bent is my other option, but I think he’s the best player for 7m (what I paid), so I really don’t want to drop him.
Maybe I’ll leave it up to the injury Gods and just do the second transfer if Ade is reported as doubtful for the Burnley game.
bert and AB. any thoughts for the 8 point punt for my team?
Can you do Saha->RVP and Barry/Kuyt to O’Hara/Boateng/Dempsey without doing the 3rd transfer?
nope, cause i already have 3 arsenal players. manone which is one of the worst buys i have made
Then he should be top of your priority list.
Tough one then. I would never take an 8pt hit, but only because I’ve done it in the past and it’s never, ever paid off for me. The temptation for RVP is obviously great, but if you do a little shuffle in another area and line that transfer up for next week, you shouldn’t be missing out on TOO much. Wolves are playing pretty well atm. It also depends on who your rivals have I suppose.
maybe i could just swap out barry for ohara/dempsy and leave the team be, depending on saha’’s fitness though
so is the 8 point risk worth a go?
no
Mannone – bye bye (sooner rather than later and get some spare cash.
4 point – maybe – but wait until Friday or Saturday morning and check injuries
A. Cole back for Champions League. Fugures. Guess he’ll injure himself later for the PL.
is defoe back this weekend?
Yessir.
Listen, just forget about bogus bonus points, dodgy assists and lucky goals, they will always exist, everybody gets them, just the luck of the draw, the people who play the best game over the season will win, despite dubious points.
And btw, i dont have boggy or bent (although i do have rvp…..)
i know everyone has been bashing expensive defenders, however chelsea have been keeping clean sheets just like last season and evra has a gr8 run of fixtures after this week. i have a.cole now and thinking of drafting evra in next week. madness having two top defenders?
I’ve got 3 expensive ones, so I don’t think 2 is madness.
However, Johnson needs to get some points from Brum at home this weekend. The way Liverpool are at the moment, he’s not worth the money. Annoyingly, he’s likely to drop in price this week, so by waiting I’m going to miss out on 0.1 of his sell-on.
Hopefully he’ll lose his red icon and be protected before he drops in price!
Prior to this gameweek I had 2.5 expensive defenders (now 1.5), and after the Chelsea game if all goes to play I intend to buy Evra so will possibly go back up to 2.5 quite soon.
I don’t see any problem whatsoever.
good. most guys in my mini league have gone for the cheap defender route. one guys has seven 4 million defenders and used the rest to get big hitters everywhere else. i love having expensive defenders though so i’ll make the swap to evra soon
Whilst on the assist topic. Is anyone else miffed why you do not get the assist for a penalty if you score it? Surely that deserves the double point award for doing all the hard work and actually scoring? Always bugged me this.
but then to be consistent you might have to give a player a goal and an assist if he misses his penalty but scores the rebound, giving him more points than if he just stepped up and scored the penalty normally
I don’t think any goal is worth 7/8/9 points. Players often have to do hard work to score anyway.
In the CL game they award an extra point for a player who wins a penalty, rather than an assist. That’s fairer on those who do the dive for penalty/score from penalty routine like Ronaldo, Andy Johnson, Van Nistelrooy and Rooney, but less so on those ho win the pen then don’t take it.
exactly on that basis should you give an assist to an solo effort goal? i dont think so, that would be unfair. for a professional footballer scoring a penalty should not be difficult, so getting additional points for doing so would be too much reward
I played an FF game a few seasons ago (I think Yahoo?) where you’d get one point fewer for a penalty, one extra point for a match winning goal and so on.
Stupidly complicated, the system’s fine as it is.
so you don’t want an extra point for scoring from outside the box and double points for scoring from your own half?
badly need milner, dunne and carlton cole to do it for me in the extra gameweek…was delighted when cole scored of course..and gutted when milner came off
…ahh the delights and pain of this game lol!
any further views on Adebayor? keep him in or cut him loose for Defoe or Bent?
Hold him for another week then swap to Rooney (if you haven’t already got on that one). I’d back Adebooboo to do something at home to Burnley.
yeah, logical thinking there..still feeling nauseous after him not getting a run out yesterday..
Does anyone know why Taylor didnt play for Bolton this week?
75 points plus dunne, collins, and carlton cole left isn’t bad…am winning most of my leagues also.
73, plus collins, c.cole, agdon and milner with any luck. Fingers crossed. A hint of Irony having a defender and an opposing attacker, I guess it cuts down the chances of getting no points
Taylor was on the bench for bolton on saturday. Chris Basham started instead of him for some strange reason.
Robbie Keane has done nothing since his hattrick ages ago. He is turing into a bigger waste of money the berbatov fantasy fotball wise
You’ve been very loyal to him!
Yeah like a fool marknlard was basing it on his ireland performances and spurs supposedly easy fixtures think I brought him in with my wildacard about a month ago. With the logic, he’s “due” a goal nice fixtures. When using my wildcard I looked at van p and said to myself too flakey will get injured… as homer would say “doh”! Funniest second in my mini league got 93 this week with dunne to play again unbelieveable..
I did something similar getting Lennon in a few weeks back. I think Modric’s absence has really affected Spurs badly.
yeah and his words before the arsenal game saying that spurs had a stronger squad than them was just a curse on the team…he has scored 5 goals this season and 4 of them were in one game against burnley, who have yet to get a point away. he’s too inconsistent to consider him as a fantasy football transfer. watch him go and score against sunderland…
he’s been terrible this season. if it wasn’t for him being captain and that freak burnley game it would be crouch and defoe every game
Well applebonkers and fleeto2009 I have decided to give robbie keane two more weeks surely he will do SOMETHING in the next two?
Guys, for gameweek 13, how many players will you have that have a double gameweek?
The thing is I want reid, van persie in now for the long term and etherington for his good run of fixtures. However, I ALSO want fulham players for the double! What do i do?
we all want more players than we have, just prioritise who u want the most, 2nd most etc then decide how many points u r willing to sacrifice. also remember the more players u have in purely for the double gw the more points and / or transfers u have to sacrifice to get rid of them again.
p.s i do realise i’m just stating the obvious here put people do seem to be getting carried away with the double gw’s
appreciate it if you guys could have a look at my team and some feedback on how i could improve. for some reason i’ve had a really slow start this year and while i have some plans for the next few gameweeks, would just like to get some input from others. thanks.
Usung the 2.7 in the bank would be a start. Your team is fine imo just bad luck
think ure just a week or 2 late with a lot of ure transfers. gotta try and be a bit more proactive instead of just reactive
@ applebonkers
i was one of those who thought the big four’s defence would sort itself out and the strikers can’t possibly keep scoring. bit stubborn on my part to keep backing an expensive backline and being left behind by my rivals.
i’m slowly gearing up for the double gameweek, trying to avoid taking point hits. i would love to bring lampard in while keeping fab and leaving my forwards untouched but to do so requires a lot of surgery on the rest of my mids and defence. i fear it would weaken my overall squad.
uve got a good team and uve made some great timed transfers e.g getting rvp and matty taylor in when u did. do u still have ure wc?
nope..used up the wildcard. prob looking to bring a couple of fulham players in before the double gameweek and bring back matty taylor right after the double gameweek. i so want lamps but it’s out of my reach financially…
how the hell do you drop 120000 places after playing your wc? and worse still have to take a 4pt hit the week after you play your wc?
You have to start thinking longer term with your transfers imo jesse. dont pick players just because they have one or two good fixtures pick someone who has a run of decent fixtures so that you can leave them in for a decent length of time thus avoiding pts hits is probably the best advice I could give you.
@ dino
i hear you man. guess that was a really low point, desperate for points then coz i was lagging really badly. but with the benefit of hindsight..those two transfers i made right after my wildcard was the best piece of business i ever did. one transfer a week..that’s my mantra now onwards.
I am not saying they were bad transfers jesse but that you should have had the foresight to put them in during your wc.
I dont think there is much wrong with your team or your transfers per say all good options but maybe you are trying too hard to catch your mini league rivals. Sometimes you just have to take a step back and trust the transfers you have made for the longer term to still do the business.
You obviously know what you are doing but from past experience (I should know as I had an awful run last year) when you are behind quite often just doing the obvious things can move back up the table far quicker than trying to think outside the box.
agreed. sometimes desperation just throws a cloud over my better judgment. i’ve sort of mapped out my transfers till gw17.
barring any injuries/loss of form/price rises/drops in the players i’m targeting, i’m hoping it would pay off in the long run.
I’ve had a look at your squad and it seems pretty good. I would use some of the money in your bank to upgrade turner to evra/ashley cole (might be worth waiting a week though!).
@xabi
i’ll be looking to shift out distin for evra after the double gameweeek. my gamble last week didn’t payoff when i did taylor -> petrov. got me a meagre point.
Stop taking 4 point hits!
Mrs Rooney has dropped her sprog!
http://images.paraorkut.com/im.....-11984.jpg
yippee – no need for me to worry about him not turning up on Sunday so
Dunn, Reid, Dempsy, Diaby, Elliot or Duff to replace Billy?
Dunn or Dempsey. Fulham’s got a great run until Week 17 (no game, and then ManU, Spurs, Chelsea), and Dempsey’s always involved. Blackburn’s fixtures look pretty decent, too — and Dunn’s the only one on the team worth a damn in fantasy.
(I might consider Duff over Dempsey, but only if I could be sure he’d return for the DGW.)
anyone notice da silva finally getting gametime this week for sunderland? got up and down that touchline more than bridge and other right backs this weekend, and he’s a centre back! had a couple of shots on target too…
seems im being rewarded for losing .2mill and keeping the faith, ill hang onto him now
apologies, he hit the woodwork, and whisltled one wide
he is a V good player , i think once he is match fit and acclimatised to Premiership he will be guaranteed starter once fit.
Da Silva and Cana were 2 v shrewd signings bruce made.
Think Turner’s still gonna be hogging the attacking and bonus points in that defence, and will never be rotated. Are Sunderland looking as bad at the back as the results suggest? I’m running out of patience with Turner’s 0s
haha roys brother johnson i was a “sunderland da silva disciple” (try saying that after a few pints) I finally lost patience with him not being played after loosing .4 million over sunderlands “easy” fixtures.
had da silva all season. he’s my team’s cult hero and as a result will stay. what i don’t get is why a left sided centre-back is being played at right back? after seeing him mark messi out of a qualifier a month or so ago there is no way bruce will keep him out the starting XI for long.
i’d say either dunn or dempsey…can keep both of them for 4 weeks at least
what all teams have a gd in week 13?
wooosies..double gameweek*
check the next 5 fixtures ticker on the right —>
Any thoughts on my team (3.5m in the bank):
Sorensen,Hart
Verm, Shawcross, Dunne, Distin, Parnaby
Fabregas, Arshavin, Milner, Dunn, Hunt
Drogba, Bent, CCole
i would do laps trans next week maybe but u should get demsey in for milner this week.
arsenal have wolves and milner could be injured or even worse get u 1pt
arshavin -> lampard
i want demsey but want to keep fab, reid dunn and shava (a least for wolves).
Do i upgrade rodwell or will it create problems as have my money spread too far?
hi all, i brought Arshavin the same week he was the same price as Fab (based on more people having Fab, think outside the box!), how much long do you think i can keep him?
gw38 and then I think the squads are reset for the following year
Seriously though if you bought him as a differential then in principal he is still a differential so logic remains. I don’t think there is a definitive answer to how long you should keep him though
On a side note, istanbul traffic in the rain is quite possibly more frustrating than (c) Milner this GW. Anyways, gives me a chance to do some reading. Azincourt by Bernard Cornwell is one mutha of a ripping yarn. Recommended reading a few days before England next play France to fire up the senses.
Well for once i’m stumped as to how i should change my team with only a few vague ideas. Im considering shipping out Jarvis and Song for N’Zonzi and Givet after the next GW, doubt i’ll go mad n get too many players for the double GW.
Anyone have any better suggestions?
Fulham defender over Givet imo
Yeah i’d prefer a Fulham df but that’d leave me with Sorensen, Shawcross, Distin, Hunt and said Fulham defender not playing in the GW a month later leaving me with little room for manoevre.
how bout hughes and dunn instead?
why nzonzi when you can afford dunn with that spare cash?
Saving that money for a rainy day (upgrade to Modric/Arteta/vPersie)
yeah if i’m not mistaken blackburns 2 double gw games are away. and to put it politely blackburn are fuking terrible away
blackburn are no good away from home
? who told you this apple? I refuse to believe it! I think they will score heavily over the double gw and keep 2 cs to top it all off
1 negative = a negative, 2 negatives make a positive and 3 negatives make sam allardyce’s tactics away from home
We;ll beat fulham and get a draw at bolton. So says SuperDunny
sam allardyce is so ambitious i reakon he’s gonna put a potato on his christmas list this year
lol. There is no doubting alardyce’s ambition alright, it is to use away matches for exercising his gk. Its a revolutionary new training method that is going to make paul robinson into the best keeper in england! rofl
it’s absolutely crazy that dunne who’s 5.8 is being transferred in like mad even now. he’ll be 5.9 by the end of the week which is just 0.7 away from evra’s price. lol. collins is nearly a million cheaper and is as good an option. btw i wanted to transfer a fulham player in for milner, and the only one i would consider long term is murphy cause of he’s set piece duties. any idea when he’s expected back? and if duff is’nt injured would he be a better bet than dempsey. i tend to avoid fulham;s matches so have’nt seen duff play live. just seen a couple of highlights. does duff take a couple of set pieces too?
the dunne thing is crazy as a bus full of hormonal pregnant women! Maybe I am wrong (I was about laursen
) but with 7 goals in 9 seasons I cant see him suddenly becoming prolific even if villa do work more on set pieces than most teams, and I cannot see them keeping cs either as they are too direct therefore the opposition (no matter who they are) tend to have more posession than villa hence more chance of scoring.
What was that old saying? posession is nine tenths of the law” never a truer phrase for a defending team imo
Well dunne is more dangerous at corners as proven wtih his past club teams and ireland. Plus he is more of a bonus magnet then collins imo. I got dunne in at 5.3…den benched him v chelsea.
As far as i concerned worse piece of trnasfer business by man city dunne out for 5m and lescott in for 24m… apparently man city needed the money. It shows to me how irish players are undervalued and englsih ones over hyped makes me smile…
Dunne has massively outscored Evra and Collins, He’ll never be a rotation risk, is a bonus magnet and gets the odd goal, so his price is totally justified. Saying Collins is just as good an option is like saying Carragher would be just as good as Glen Johnson, Paintsil/Hangeland Yobo/Baines Clichi/Vermaelen etc.
I think it is a case of the emperor has no clothes with dunne and the bonus judges at the moment to be honest. He makes a lot of clearances and last ditch tackles but they are usually because he was out of position in the first place!
Not for me I’m afraid (and I am a villa fan btw)
I agree Dino, As a Villa fan, I cringed when we brought him in. My mind flashed back to watching him play last year. I am rooting for Villa’s defense to be a strong part of their game this year, so if that means I have to root for Dunne to do well, then that is what I will do.
dunne is definitely punching above his weight. i guess those folks who are bringing him in now are those who sort defenders by goals scored and bonuses, in which case dunne is up there or thereabouts. i have dunne in my team, got him in when he just transfered from city and i suppose i’ll keep him in my team and ride the bandwagon till the wheels fall off, making a tidy profit.
he was good value at 5 – 5.5 million. however he is 5.8 million now and people still geting him in. he is a bonus magnet though, cant argue about that. however i dont expect him to score a goal the rest of the season. maybe .
Just made the Distin – Alexander swap for this GW (expected more from Distin…was a mistake).
Now waiting for Milner fitness. If don’t play or perform bad, as late, considering a 4 pt hit to Dempsey.
Seems logical?
Cheers.
why get alexander in now? you should only play him for home games so if you look at the season ticker you can realistically expect points from him for only 7 matches the rest of the season. i’m planning on getting rid of my burnley defenders now!!
mcy AVL whm por FUL ARS wlv BOL eve STK mun bol CHE
those are his next 12 or so fixtures. expect
0 1 1 1 6+ 0 1 6+ 1 6+ 0 1 0 from him in those. lol.
I think that you’ve probably missed the best of Alexander’s fixtures. In my opinion, the likes of Hangeland would’ve been a better replacement for Distin. Alexander will probably get around another handful of pens this season (if he’s lucky) but I personally have doubts over Burnley’s clean sheet potential in the short-term.
Well, if that is the case (it was a rookie mistake…another one).
But Alexander take penaltys , i think, and i only plan to have him as my 3rd or 4th sub.
Distin to Alexander was a downgrade to free up some cash to get Lamps in 2 weeks.
I don’t think it’s a totally horrific move and I wouldn’t lose too much sleep over it. I just personally think that there could’ve been better moves to make to bring in points in the next few weeks.
Ok. Thanks for the reply.
maybe i was a bit pessimistic. alexander is the ideal bench player cause even if he does’nt get the points you an always expect him to cause of the penalties. however since you wont be playing him in every match when he does score a penalty he may be on ur bench. dint mean to be harsh. dont lose sleep over it as gizmo said
Good point.
I’ll try to be lucky and put him on the field at the “penalty kind of games”…
Cheers.
Burnley are going down
hope so.. not that i dont like them cause i do but i have a bet that they will go down and that money means more to me than seeing them stay up
im not even that convinced on mr dunn anymore for the double, if/when i get him in he’s replacing diaby who is still playing on one of t he best teams in the league
i just dont want to pay 5.7 for em really…
and ill stick with distin for the double too
I’m going to drop Distin for the double (for a Fulham defender) and will likely stick with Dunn and drop Milner to accomodate a double playing mid. I possibly see better returns for Dunn this weekend vs Pompey than I do in his double week, however. I’d settle for a 7-5-2 type return in his next three.
Dunn did manage to score against arsenal so surely he has the potential to do the same agaisnt the likes of Fulham and Bolton in the double…
yeah i would stick with dunn untill the double GW anyway.. thinking about getting him in myself..
his price rise just annyoed me, he doesnt play and his next game is man u yet he rises, eejits!
and some of his goals wernt in the best of situations, but a goals a goal i guess, still diaby was a temp fix whos proving to be doing ok and getting the 90, arsenal are impressing the pants off me this season
Not sure if its been mentioned already but Rooneys had his kid so no more worries about him missing a game due to the birth
http://www.whoateallthepies.tv.....ooney.html
yeah i heard that, he will probally be missing tomorrows game but will/should be playing against Chelsea so no need to worry about him… will be funny to see what the child will look like when he gets older!
Kai Wayne. Chaviest name ever.
Looks like no Milner on Wednesday:
http://www.avfc.co.uk/article/.....95_1845003
Loos like a 4 pt hit and Dempsey in for me…
lol i feel sorry for those who captained him!
I feel sorry for this chap in my auto FPL league
http://fantasy.premierleague.c.....id=1398022
so do i but at least he has 1 point coming off from the bench
Hi The Rock, how are you? That “Rockferry” horse came 5th, pretty sure you weren’t on it so you are lucky. Melb Cup run in less than 10 hours. I like the 2 favourites & Alcopop will be my main horse & Viewed & Shocking are my savers. Good luck if you decide to have a punt. I’ll be looking out for “Therock” for you this weekend.
i don’t think he bothers anymore since gw7. i’m sure he wouldn’t be devastated.
Thanks for the sympathy
what I wanted to feel was sympathy…what I actually felt was..
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rX7wtNOkuHo
it wasn’t you we were giving it too
crap. hope he’ll be fine against bolton over the weekend.
he has run his nuts off for 90 mins in every league, cup and european game for villa this season plus the england games. cant believe MON played him the entire 120 mins against sunderland
looks like mon will get a chance to look up the dictionary and find what the definition of rotation is.
one more question. a couple of weeks back ohara was playing really deep. i think it was before he missed the game against tottenham. have’nt seen portsmouth play after that. has he been playing in a more attacking position or still deep?
I think still deep. But still on set pieces and recently picking up decent bonus.
You should try playing around with the chalkboards…… I’ve done it for you at this link http://www.guardian.co.uk/foot.....YlIF1A0V96
Conclusion? He’s playing pretty high up by looks of it and is more central than in some other games
thanks big dunc
Fabregas and Van Persie going up in price again tonight!
Nice assessment of the ref’s performance on the weekend. Mike Jones should never officiate in the PL again.
http://soccernet.espn.go.com/c.....mp;cc=5901
cheers feanor that makes me feel even more agrieved by geovani’s red card now. I hadn’t realised he didn’t give a peno as well! that means geo should have had 2 goals and prob some bonus if he got them the draw
Oh well at least I proffited from one of his bad decisions in that alexander put away his spot kick
That pompey player who scoreed 2 goals seems a good prospect, fast and agile and not bad touch. Any one got any info on him?
Thinking on punting on wolves, birmingham & portsmouth players. They all due some wins and havent played badly.
very risky tho potentailly v. high differential
Hey guys just looking for an opinion on my team
given sorensen
dunne collins evra shawcross turner
fabergas reid dunn lennon cattermole
torres rooney and keogh
1.7 mil in the bank
right im thinking bout getting rid of rooney and keogh for bent and c cole and i have to get rid of cattermole as hes out till jan and turner for maybe sagna and fletcher or dempsey and bridge any opinions?Plus does anyone know how long lennon is out for?
You’re right to be looking to get rid of Keogh, Lennon and Cattermole. Dempsey and Etherington (for example) might let you get in a 90minute striker such as Rodallega, Davies or Cole. Good overall
Thanks for the advice
Young or Dempsey?
from my experince, avoid players who havent even got going and are badly out of form. kypt, cahill & young all need to be avoided. Has to be dempsey.
Or Dunn?
i think blackburn might struggle away, they havent exactly been prolific in scoring goals . they have only scored 3 golas away from home and 2 were lucky goals by dunn against arsenal woefull defending.
i wouldnt rush into getting him although a home game and a double gmwk might get you average points.
yes and out of their 5 away games they have played arsenal, chelsea and utd (probably the top 3 teams in the epl) as well as everton and an in form sunderland. I am not saying they are going to set the world alight on their travels but they have had an unbelievably tough start away from home to date.
