I’m afraid I’m unable to bring you the usual wordage to accompany my selection tonight, although I hope to throw you some notes to justify things a little tomorrow morning. In truth, with double fixtures in the gameweek, much of it picks itself.
While I’m here, I’d like to point you towards the Team News section which is currently being brought right up to date by Greek Fan. Go pay this a visit why you contemplate your gamweek 20 lineup.

aye, deffo. I did O’Hara, Hunt and Scharner (3 sh1t players with sh1t fixtures) to Diaby, Tuncay and Ridgewell for 4 points.
I don’t consider it a bad move as I’m going to do Bikey to Nelson and Drogba to Tevez next week. So Ridgey will be the new Bikey.

Thought about Evra to Vermaelen. Evra seems a great buy on paper, and we all keep waiting for the CS and assist returns, but just not happening.
…but went for cheap move to bring in Traore, and kept Evra.

milner for deffo! good team. I honestly dont think its worth having fab in at all..think he will play less than 60 mins total if that, but everyone seems to disagree, so imo I wd have milner and Fab as autosub.

Vermaelen as Gallas’s old bones will be creaking in the DGW. Vermaelen seems posied to produce a goal out of nowhere again.

with DGW in mind I would say Dempsey but fixtures are tough, buts he massivly in form and could cause a few problems for Chelsea and Stoke
If you have the funds, Dempsey is worth it.
got 7.2 in the bank so funds not a problem. am looking beyond the dgw and dont like fulhams fixtures
Darren Fletcher is worth a punt with fixtures in mind.
Very brave move on the Fabs swap considering his time out for injury has yet to be confirmed and also there is no obvious “big priced” midfield option around this week.
Valencia at a push with United’s decent upcoming fixtures -the more modest-priced midfielders such as Dempsey and Etherington have limited appeal for me as both Stoke and Fulham have potentially low-scoring fixtures.
i dont think wenger will risk him against portsmouth though he might be able to play for some time against bolton. also fixtures starting gw23 toughen up so took the plunge for now but have kept the option to get him back pending news on his injury.

Diaby. Tuncay is a rotation sub risk, and Stoke have a tricky game against a resolute Birmingham. So Diaby, Eth, Tuncay in that order.
diaby, will get further forward without Fabs in and is in some good scoring form.

i mean I would go for duff only to save on budget as they do seem to score pretty similar points. I just think on his day with his eye for goal demps is a better choice, likes to get amongst the forward line more.

personally, I wouldnt take a four point hit just for dempsey or duff, only coz fixures are pisch and there are midfielders out there in the long run for around the same price which will prob do better for you over next 5 games.

well personally my tip is Darren Fletcher.. reasons being run of fixures and nailed on to start every game barring any injury and a snip at 5.6m giving you an extra 0.9m to use elswhere in future weeks.

Hold – over 15,000 FPL players already disagree with me though. Amazing to look through the transfer out stats from Saturday – 69,000 get rid of Drogs and 18,000 have already binned Defoe.
Im keeping defoe, the boy will score goals. Patience…
but just look at how many are buying song (5k before 9am) or bought cesc after the injury yesterday, it’s incredible.

hold on….your probs gonna lose a few quid on value if you sell, I wud wait until extent of injury is confirmed, unfortunately you wont here much until press conference before second game.
i say hold till there’s further news……if its just scar tissue he’ll miss the game against portsmouth and back for bolton….its still a decent enough game for him at home…….on current form fabregas is a must have so dont jump the gun

with other injuries and suspension I think he will play a part, not sure how much though….stick him in and have a good first sub as alternate.
He’s having injections in his groin apparently
to get him back to fitness. Stoke’s injuries at the back are accumulating and I’d say he is doubtful, which is why I abstained from the transferring in of Ab Faye and went for Gary Cahill instead.

I’ve currently got Fab in midfield and Diaby as captain. My nearest rivals all have Arshavin. So should I…
a) sell Fab and get Arsh in making him captain over Diaby for a 4 point hit
b) leave Fab in and give Diaby the armband
c) leave Fab in and give him the armband

I have very little conviction in my Arshavin captaincy but I have no choice. Be brave and stick with your Diaby idea, particularly if you are playing catch-up in your mini-league.
Thing is i’ve a 50 point lead…that cut be cut to nothing if arsh hqas 2 good games
I’d match them for a 4 point hit crazyhorse – they are all likely to captain Arshavin.
gotta take a risk in mini-leagues and go against the flow….i would go option B but its risky and could backfire…but hell, i like a gamble.

I have 3 good captain options this GW. Rooney, Tevez and Diaby. Still don’t know which one to choose.
Tevez is okay, but would be better if they play at home
Rooney – home game against Wigan is fairly nice
Diaby – 2 “easier” games, 180 minutes guaranteed, at least expect some bonus if Fab is out…

those transfers have gotta make you 8 more points than the other 3…its a toughy, but I think if its all you can do to get some gunners in then yeah sound….

no coz Blackburn away is a decent enough fixture to avoid dropping 4 when Livepool are away and chelsea have a tough tie against an in-form fulham.
