Sunday’s Dugout Discussion

Loosen the trousers – today we can look forward to a banquet of Premier League football to accompany the Sunday Roast. There are no less than five games coming up, starting with Blackburn’s local derby with Bolton at Ewood Park at 12pm. Aston Villa and Burnley kick-off a couple of hours later at Vlla Park, followed by Fulham vs Birmingham and Man City vs Liverpool at 3pm. The day’s proceedings are then brought to a bumpy end on the troubled surface at the DW stadium as Wigan host Harry’s Spurs at 4.15.

Dugout Discussion via our live chatroom will be open throughout. There will be two rooms open today, so you can choose your destination according to the “vibe”. You never know, we might see such a frenzy of points, we made need to cordon off a chill out room.

  2. Dunne > Distin
    Tevez > Saha?

    • djt says:

with nelson being injured is nelson > alexander a good move?

      • alexander is looking old and fatiuged just like the rest of his team take a bolton def.

I hope that was a question because ive got ollsen and i hope he’s fine.

        • DGoal says:

I give advise don’t go near Dunne(av), he is in 1# def you should keep him til the end of season, he’ll become very expn to buy.

        • djt says:

im thinking alexander because burnley have 4 home games out of the next 6, which are all games they could easily win, plus he takes penaltys!!

  3. marr says:

tevez to keane and lamps to jiminez 4pt hit worth it?

  4. redevil09 says:

Best midfielder valued below 5.7 without missing fixtures?

I’m considering O’hara, Marsh, Ramsey, Lee? Any other options?

  5. Think i am fixed this week on
    Ohara for Valencia and
    Bendtner for C Cole.

I am worried about Etherington falling though as will affect my plan to Drogba in in a couple of weeks? Anyone care to predict if Etherington will fall this week?

  6. kathers says:

Being one of the drivers of the Olsson bandwagon, I am jumping ship and starting the Jack Cork bandwagon. 3 great home games in 3 weeks, playing midfield and looks effective getting forward. Burnley’s best player yesterday.

  7. Jafalad says:

This is the sort of abuse I have to put up with from the leader of my league:

    1. Jafalad = You – Your fantasy team is linked to it!!!!
    2. No Post = Don’t like to be in a position of looking up to others….. (3rd now I note)
    3. Catch me in 1 week – I will take a bet on that – Say $50.00 – I will even allow you say 3 weeks….
    4. If you believe you will catch me then let us have a further wager between now and the end of the season – Say Loser must Caddy for the winner on a Saturday at Puke…. ( or will your ultimate faith which is known to you not allow such a wager.

A reply is awaited for…… I am sure it will be a weak excuse for cats piss no doubt.

See You at the finish line – I will be waiting your arrival…

Should I take him up on his offer I wonder?

  8. Am I being too desperate to swap Tevez for Bent?

  9. Shahriyar says:

wat do u guys think about my solid transfer plan for the next 3 weeks?

    Gw 28= Ade n nelson > torres n bikey
    Gw 29= duff n ivan > diaby/pienaar n distin/baines
    Gw 30= faye n duff > j collins n milner

only prob is that shud i go for diaby or pienaar?

    • If you get confirmation that diaby is fit for gw29, go for him

    • kathers says:

Diaby has a medial knee ligament injury. If he is rushed back too soon, he could easily damage it once again.

      • Shahriyar says:

if he isn’t fit i can bring in pienaar as suggested.after these transfers i will still hav around 1.5 in the bank n no transfers for gw 31. ijust hope everythin goes smoothly till then.

    • nomar says:

Like all plans, Shahriyar, it looks good on paper, but it doesn’t always end up that way in real life.

Personally, I agree with other posters on here who would tell you to hold off pressing the button on Torres until he’s played at least one full game back (80 mins worth anyway).

It looks like Ryan Nelsen will need replacing now he’s injured, but you’ve got Scott Dann you can plug into your defence this week and not miss a beat.

I’d also keep Duff. Bench him for GW 29 as he has no fixture that week, but he’s really worth holding onto for the run in.

You can play a full team this week without taking any points hits. I’m in same boat and seriously considering saving up my xfrs till GW29. By then I will know how many players I have available and if I need to make multiple changes that week it won’t cost me as many points.

Maybe you might consider the same strategy? Up to you though, bro.

  10. Jafalad says:

I’m getting really suspicious of being followed by lurkers on here…well lurker. “He” watches every move I make.

  11. Jafalad says:

Has anyone bought Jack Cork yet?

  12. TorresMagic says:

What are the chances of some GW29 matches cancelled due to the FA Cup getting moved to midweek in the same GW?

  13. Another random question- I have 65 points as of now with Rooney(c) & Evra to play. My h2h rival is on 45 with Upson, Fletcher, Valencia & Rooney(c) to go.
Does anyone see a silver lining for me? Or will Valencia & co plot my downfall?

  14. jman says:

i have the drog, rooney and bent up front . What should i do for GW29?, i was thinking of taking bent out and either bringing in Rodallega or Saha in. What do you think?, Any suggestions

    • It would help if you post your team

      • jman says:

i would but lets jst say if i post my team no one who is in direct competiton with me will copy it (WINK, WINK) and it isnt jafalad its some1 else

      • jman says:

however i really want to beat this person, he is a very smug little bugger

        • jman says:

sorry for GW28 not 29. lol

          • DGoal says:

            Drogba CH 166 13 11.6 11.2 11.4 MC (H)
            Rooney MU
            I’m Thinking :
            Valencia => Arteta
            Hunt => Benaoun

        • TorresMagic says:

No point asking for advice without showing your team. I’m sure other team will be similiar to yours, look at what advice they get. I’d rather Saha than Roda atm.

  15. Duncan says:

Can someone give me a quick explanation of how the price changes work with regard to transfers?I have read the faq’s both her and FPL website but i don’t understand.I bought Dunne at 6.1 he is now worth 6.7,however if i transfer him out it says i still only get 6.1?

  16. funnyoldgame says:

is Skrtel a good option for a midprice defender?

  17. dreamteam12 says:

Almunia or Reina for the rest of season? Both could be good buys with thier fixtures
