Sunday’s Dugout Discussion
Spurs and Everton get our Sunday started down at the Lane with a 1pm kick-off, followed by Liverpool vs Blackburn and Sunderland vs Fulham at three. Around all that, we also have the largely academic Carling Cup Final to absorb.
Early team news from the Lane finds Redknapp starting with Pavlyuchenko and Defoe up front. Modric and Kranjcar both start in midfield and Bassong comes in for the injured Ledley King. Bale keeps Assou-Ekotto warming the bench. As for Everton, Anichebe and Rodwell both get starts with Saha strangely “not in the squad”. and Donovan benched. Yobo and Jagielka help to make Everton’s bench recognisable again as Distin and Heintinga take up the centre-back roles.
The Dugout Discussion live chatroom is now open to capture your Sunday best.

in all honesty if u look at bendtner’s next 5 games and sunderland’s next 5 games bendtner wins hands down!!!
Bent
BOL MCY BIR liv TOT
(the last 4 have decent defences)
Bendtner
BUR hul WHM bir WLV
(apart from birmingham all walkover defenses)
so may just do bent to bendtner.. also is it worth doublin up with baines and distin in defense?? and Collins and warnock(from GW30)
damn this was supposed to be a reply above. oh well.. anyway.. after the next 5 games bent has fantastic fixtures so a swap back from bent to bendtner in GW 34 look good..
is this the FFS cup week???
Qualifying is this gameweek, article for joining coming out in the next day or 2.
What does everyone think about needing to have a big name defender for the rest of the season? I’m trying to work out my wild card for next week (GW30) and thinking about going budget defence (Collins/Warnock/Distin etc) and sacrificing Evra + any chels defenders…
Would be interesting to hear peoples views.
Cheers
