Wednesday’s Dugout Discussion

Filed under: Site Features - Posted by: Andy

All limbered up after our warm-up at Upton Park last night? We’ve got a double gameweek fiesta going on this evening and Scout towers is here to bring you the low-down as we all cheer on our players for hopefully some premium points returns, while some hope for that elusive cup run (Granville: I’m coming for you).

Four games, eight teams: it’s the jackpot of a double gameweek. “What are the teams?” I hear you cry in your hundreds of thousands, Well then listen up folks…

Carlo Ancelotti starts coronaries up and down the nation when he names Sturridge in his starting line-up – but don’t worry it’s only in place of Nicolas Anelka. Portu-geezers Deco & Carvalho also play. Their opponents Portsmouth …probably have a team still. O’Hara is playing anyway. Martin O’Neill is accused of crying wolf once more as major doubt (Richard Dunne) and slight doubt (James Milner) both play for Aston Villa in an unchanged side. Sunderland recall Cattermole & Henderson into their midfield.

Man City make a couple of changes with Pablo Zabaleta filling in a left back (called it!) pulling De Jong back into the team and gifting Steven Ireland with a rare start. Garrido & Santa Cruz sit down on the bench. Everton look solid and unchanged. And lastly the “Battle of the Big” (as I decide to call it just now…) see’s Big Sam keep faith with young Phil Jones after an imperious display at the weekend while Big ‘Eck brings Bowyer back in for Michel.

All that’s left is to open up the Dugout Discussion in our chat room this evening and wish you all on your merry way.

Spurs are playing Fulham in the FA Cup tonight too… by the way.
