New Members’ Season Ticker
Filed under: Featured, Site Features - Posted by: Pure Olivia
The eagle-eyed amongst you will have spotted that we’ve gone live with a new version of the Members’ Season Ticker this evening. There is a new version of the next six ticker on the main site and an update to the full ticker in the Members area.
I’ve made this update to incorporate double Gameweek functionality and Members will now be able to view Blackpool and United’s double fixture in Gameweek 24 on their tickers (this will also be viewable by non-members once Gameweek 24 gets closer). In addition to this functionality, I’ve also included a few new exciting features exclusively for our Members to enjoy…
You Are The Scout
Don’t agree with the Scout team ratings? Is Bolton making a mockery of their current difficulty ranking? Well now, you can change them to suit your opinion or data. Members can click on the Fixture Difficulty button below the ticker and not only view the default rankings assigned to each team, they can also edit these values for themselves. You will see the colours on the ticker changing as values are edited. Ratings will be saved for when you next come back to the browser so you can build your very own custom ratings for your Scout tickers and tweak them as the Gameweeks roll by.
Each team has a rating for Home and Away with the figure reflecting the difficulty posed by playing this team. So if Arsenal have a “Home” rating of 1000, that is the difficulty of a team playing Arsenal at home. Arsenal’s “Away” rating is the difficulty of facing Arsenal at the Emirates.
Pressing the reset button uses the default ratings once more. We will be updating the default ratings for each team very soon and regularly as home and away form changes.
Draggable teams
It can be a pain trying to pair up home and away matches for your cheap goalkeepers and defender rotation needs. With this release, you can now drag team fixtures up and down the table to make fixture comparison a lot easier.
The Difficulty Colour Swatch
This is a thin strip of colour next to the team that represents the average difficulty of the fixtures being shown. As you navigate around the fixtures, or change the ratings, the swatch will change colour accordingly.
Due to the complexity of the ticker, not that I wish to dictate your choice of browser, the ticker is best enjoyed in Google Chrome. It should be compatible with all browsers down to Internet Explorer 6.
Just to stress, the above features are only available in the Members ticker. Non-members will see the double Gameweek functionality however. If you not yet a Member and want to sign up, you can click here for more details.
If you do find a bug, or have a suggestion: please email me at pureolivia@fantasyfootballscout.co.uk.
Commenting is now closed for this post.

How did Fabregas look last night when he came on?
Last week when Nasri went beserk I did not follow the Capt poll. This pst week i did and paid the price with Cahill.
What to do this week? Lots of very tempting possibilities and differentials.
Thoughts?

bojan says:
hey ini,
he looked half fit if that…back early, just didnt look sharp at all…but a weeks worth of training hell be back..im giving him another week or 2 before i get him back in and i usually jump on the wagon as soon as hes played a minute and not got injured. rvp looked decent, think he could start v stoke
December 14 at 7:36 am
inalize says:
Thanks pal. Ive burnt myself on numerous occassions this year with my blind faith in Fabregas. I need to realise this year is “different”.
Drogba/Rooney/Torres/Lamps/gerrard/Fab are all misfiring due to various factors.
I think Arsenal will put a few past Stoke and then they have Chelsea. I suppose nasri is the safe choice, but i hate the little bugger and don’t want him if Fab starts firing.
I dont have a capt choice that I’m happy with, so whoever i tsfr in will have to wear the armband. You?
December 14 at 7:40 am
bojan says:
i havent been burnt as such, more no one in my mini league had him so it was a differential for me then he got injured every time i got a run going. ive got drogba, tevez, torres up front, also have adam suspended.
plan was to take out drogba for carroll but not sure now, probably make torres captain.
Thing with Tevez needs to go one way or the other otherwise it becomes a massive brain fu*k
not sure what to do , have to wait out the tevez affair
December 14 at 7:41 am
bojan says:
just love watching fab and seeing his name in my team, makes me feel warm inside, prob take a 12 point hit to get him back in
December 14 at 7:45 am
inalize says:
Torres crossed my mind, but without SG they aren’t the same team. It will be his first game back, so no idea how he will affect Torres.
Livpool just look like a team that have no idea what to do. Not so sure they will have it their own way vs Fulham.
Im seriously looking at Odemwingie/brunt/Bent. I also have Adam out and appar snow is expected from Thursday. If Blackpool gets cancelled Adam will miss the next game(vs Livpool) and i can’t afford that. That will also be bad if your a Torres owner + a livpool def owner(Which most of us are!)
All things i need to consider!
December 14 at 7:49 am
bojan says:
yeh thanks for that mate, im in the states so dont really know what the weather is doing exactly over there.
he does have good fixtures and i cant shy away from his anfield record but still they are just piss poor…but there just arnt that many options around.
gona see how torres does v fulham then see..im tempted not to do anything this week.
Could bench adam and play barton or jara.
what you thinking tevez wise?
December 14 at 7:50 am
bojan says:
good lord my grammar is a disgrace when im tired!lol
‘gona see how torres does v fulham then see..’ WTF
December 14 at 7:52 am
inalize says:
Tevez is p*ssing me off big time. I bought him(and kolarov) for their nice run of games.
What happens? Kolarov gets sent off and Tevez picks up 5th booking. Won’t surprise me if Carlos did it on purpose. Appar he asked to go away for couple of days. He was due back yesterday. Wonder if he arrived?
I can’t see him playing this weekend. I hope there is a confirmation before the wekend. Don’t like the uncertainty.
I can also bench Adam, but if that game gets cancelled he needs to go. Im tempted with Brunt but he is also on 4 yellows!
December 14 at 7:57 am
bojan says:
yeh pretty much had the same thoughts on all of the above.. whole tevez thing is a pain in the ass big time.
adam has also dropped in value for me as well, scored well this weekend to be fair but having 2 home games and no undersoil heating he needs to go anyway.
i was hoping to upgrade him to vdv/fab if took drogba out..
December 14 at 8:22 am
inalize says:
No use binging in VDV. They are playing BP that might be cancelled.

It seems to me an obvious choice for this weeks Captain has to be a spurs player, Bale/Defoe or maybe Modric. I am new to this site and i may pay the £20 and upgrade next week but so far what ive seen, i like this site

James says:
Dont get Cesc just yet, he isnt sharp. RVP looked a bit better…

Thanks Guys..! you all helped me, to win this week in my mini league.
Other than the weekly prizes, season winner too.. but my rival is almost 100pnts ahead.
Need to move very tactical from now onwards. As there are a very few options left, I don’t know what can be my transfers. Save the transfer will be the best option?
If time permits, please see my team and advice. Thanks Again!

Mikky Arteta! says:
Morning all!
Van Der Sar / Foster
Coleman / Konchesky / Toure / A.Cole / Samba
Jarvis / Nani / Adam / Nasri / Bale
Elmander / Carroll / Drogba
What are my transx priorities?
I want to keep adam, elmander could bag a few against west brom. Not sure if I should stick? Im waiting till friday, mind.
December 14 at 8:15 am
Bubbles (Oh oh, Fat Frankie should've taken it...) says:
Looks good in all, but if the Blackpool game is off this weekend then I’d take out Adam (as he’d then be suspended for the Liverpool game) and just get him back with the wildcard. So basically, just wait and see if any games are off first really.
December 14 at 8:19 am
Mikky Arteta! says:
Thanks bubbles! Im liking the Ethers-Brunt-Bent trinity
these are players all on my radar.
December 14 at 8:24 am
inalize says:
Ethers next 2 games are cr*p though. Maybe he has had his “run”?
December 14 at 8:30 am
Bubbles (Oh oh, Fat Frankie should've taken it...) says:
Yeah, Ethers is out this week Mikky. Only got him in for the last two games.
December 14 at 8:32 am
Mikky Arteta! says:
Ahh, darn my research! I tend to group him in the adam type category as a mainstay of BPs and generally in the centre of the action….mind you not if he’s out this week!
Great feedback guys cheers.
December 14 at 8:24 am
nomar says:
I’d keep Adam. Once his suspension is served he should be part of your team going forward.
I don’t like Jarvis to be honest with you. Hunt will start taking points off him and Jarvis only seems to produce at home. I’d use your freebie this week to change him to Brunt or Gamst Pedersen.
December 14 at 8:29 am
inalize says:
Better options elsewhere I think, especially if he misses next 2 games thru suspension/cancellation
December 14 at 8:36 am
bojan says:
read above on our thoughts on adam… home games in danger of cancellations and suspension, back in the wc in jan before his dgw
December 14 at 8:40 am
nomar says:
Realistically he’ll probably be playing 3-4-3 so he’s going to have to bench one of his mids anyway. May as well leave Adam there this week and get someone better than Jarvis.
If he sells Adam he’ll probably end up benching Jarvis so what good would that achieve?
December 14 at 8:24 am
The_Doc says:
Same old Arsenal, always losing! No balls
No doubt someone mentioned it before but the key this week was to not lose gound, IMO. With so many popular players playing against each other I am happy with my ‘measly’ 41 pts, in fact I believe its a result looking around at some of the scores.
Also someone mentioned pre weekend ‘Rule no. 1 of fantasy football’ dont get co*ky when you have had a good week !!! whoever that was thanks very much as it was/is a very good call.
Massive pts to be had next week looking at the fixtures, will you choose well?

Ernie_Schitt says:
Any news on Odemwingie’s injury? I’m tempted to get him in for Carroll or Elmander.
December 14 at 8:33 am
bojan says:
leave carroll , dump elmander if you wish
December 14 at 8:37 am
Ernie_Schitt says:
Looking at it again, I think I’ll keep both. I’ve got my team into one of those horrible states where you have good reasons to play every player – no logical subs, unless someone knows better…
Foster (Hart)
Samba, Konchesky, Kolorov (Enrique, Vidic)
MGP, Nani, Bale, Nasri (Cahill)
Berbatov, Carroll, Elmander
Feels VERY strange to have Vidic and Cahill on the bench.

Wow Maxi? Brave choice. Will probably work but I couldn’t do it myself. I think you’ve got a little too much money in your team. Maybe free up a little cash in your team and you can upgrade Cahill to a Cesc, Lampard or Gerrard when the Asian Cup comes around.
Btw, if Donovan does come back when Cahill leaves, would you guys get him?

As a long term city fan, tevez has done great things for the team and could have done a lot more if maschereno had stayed in town-big buddies(out of city’s hands) and they had employed him as last year in combination with bellamy(in city’s hands).Mancini to my view is a clown, inept in managing people ; understanding english tactics and fails to understand imperative need to bring local yoof through.Cook as an executive would be very pleased to see tevez go for a fat price because long term he is rightfully worried(and has said so)about forthcoming european financial rules meaning wages have to be dramatically brought down.Tevez will leave, hopefully city will take him to court and the youngsters might get a chance.

PDM scored the highest score this week by a last way. He is now ranked 12th overall. Sven 5th overall, Demented Flamingo 27th, Dick Fran Dyke 81st & myself 170th. league is in 22nd overall but will be much stronger next season with these additions.
Highest risers were Kingson, Holden & Y.Toure.
Biggest fallers were Elmander & Lampard.

Hey folks, terrible week but it looks like I wasnt alone.. and dont get me started on Arsenal’s performance this morning(I’m in OZ).. We showed some steel but lacked our usual spark going forward.. Credit to United I guess for the way they defended against it.. anyways here’s my squad:
Foster/Robinson
Ridgewell/Jags/Toure/Elmo/Jara
Nani/Malouda/Nasri/Adam/N’Zogbia
Drogba/Elmander/Carroll
2 freebies this week, thinking of ditching Malouda finally but not sure.. Might keep Elmo if he gets game time again, Might get Vidic or Evra next week also 3.4m in bank. Thoughts? Cheers!
December 14 at 9:14 am
tosey says:
you should have got rid of malouda a while back but now youve kept him this long id stick with him until next wildcard as they have villa and bolton at home coming up
elmo isnt worth keeping imo, with welbeck likely to be on the wing this week to let gyan back in i doubt he’ll start, even if he does he isnt going to be a regular every week through the winter months

Gunnersaurus says:
Yeah I’m thinking the same with Malouda, gone this long I might as well go another few weeks.. Who knows, he may come good.. Im gonna wait and see if Elmo gets favoured this week, if not then I’ll probly get Onohua in for him long term.. Probly get Vidic long term too, I know he’s expensive but he seems a keeper..

I’m in Melbourne and I missed the whole game because if work. And being at a market means I only found the result around an hour after the game. Haven’t even seen the highlights yet.
You really dont need Foster and Ridgewell. Maybe upgrade him to Samba or Jones. I’d upgrade Malouda to Cesc. Risky but I think hes going to single handedly beat Stoke.
December 14 at 9:25 am
Gunnersaurus says:
It wasnt the greatest game, very tight affair and as soon as United scored they put ten men behind the ball.. Oh well still a long way to go yet!
Yeah I might keep Ridgewell one more week and get in Vidic next week.. I’m gonna be patient with Fabs too, wait til he’s shaken off his rust and bring him in, I’ve got Nasriu so might not be great to double up unless he keeps his form going.. Might just stick it out til wild card time…

Was thinking my move would be to get VDV in for Malouda, then I thought just save the transfer and see how the VDV/Blackpool weather situation holds out, now Im thinking, do I swap out Cole for Kolarov? Like Kolarov certainly for the weekend, would free up enough money to go Nasri->fabs ina couple weeks after i get vdv in next week.
