We were struggling this week. Crippled by a cold that was verging on deadly man-flu, I made a miracle recovery without the aid of placenta treatment to struggle into the studio to infect/accompany Mark on another podcast.

My ailments were not my only curse; only last weekend my extraordinary run of missing out on penalty saves continued when Tim Krul (no pun intended, but I’ll take it), palmed away Lampard’s effort. Inevitably, I’d left the Dutchman on my bench.

Mark refuses to buy the fact I’ve missed out on a penalty save for five years, diverting the discussion towards the mini-league gap, chatter on Van der Vaart and debate over United’s plight at both ends of the field.

The usual smattering of regulars are all present and semi-correct – if you can understand a word I’m saying, you might just enjoy it all.

Which three defenders would you choose for Gameweek 15?

    1) Vincent Kompany (Chelsea away)
    2) Jose Enrique (QPR at home)
    3) Ryan Shawcross (Tottenham at home)
    4) Wes Brown (Blackburn at home)
    5) Danny Simpson (Norwich away)

    Thanks

Yeah thats what i think. I have Kompany first sub. I am just worried that Newcastle may concede a few this weekend. I can see a high scoring match between Newcastle and Norwich.

I like it- but 2 Spurs midfielders could restrict you’re scoring if neither were to do anything, do you plan to keep VDV? Could look at Mata/Nani/Adam for a bit more attacking balance

Just saw your comment after I’d posted haha. VDV always has the potential for multiple goals+3BPs, I wasn’t patient and swapped him for Bale a few weeks ago.

    Good morning managers,

RMT for this GW please :) :
    Vorm
    Brown-BAE-Jones-RTaylor (Kompany)
    Silva-Bale-Sess (Walters, Romeu)
    RVP(C)-Ade(VC)-Ba

3.9M in bank, thinking of: (A) Walters/Sess -> Mata next week. (B) Or Ade-Rooney. Any advice?

Yh not bad mate. Romeu is a very interesting option. I would maybe pick Gower over him. Saying that, Romeu is looking like being Chelsea’s regular holding midfielder now.

Mata v Man City you may as well wait and Nani could catch fire against wolves but its a gamble as he’s been very quiet recently so I’d be tempted to sit tight and wait a week.

    Silva – Bale – Brunt – Drenthe – Ramsey

    RVP – Rooney – Adebayor

I want in Adam, Nani, VDV for Drenthe and Ramsey. Can’t seem to make it work without kicking Rooney out, which I will not do. RVP and Adebayor are staying. Please help!!

    Vorm (Begovic)
Vermalen, Enrique, Assou Akotto, Richards (doubt), Jones

    RVP, Adebayor, (Hoilett)

    1FT and 0 cash

Whats everyones thoughts on the team and potential transfers??

I was thinking DVD for Bale to free up cash to spend on a better striker in the coming weeks but with Richards and Drenthe doubtful might need to shore up the subs bench
