    Here's hoping I'll get a reply this time... 🙁

I currently own RVP, Rooney and Aguero and am on a wildcard. Which one(s) should I get rid of in order to get Papiss and/or Jelavic into my team?

P.S. I bought RVP for 11.9. Selling him and purchasing him again for the Norwich game would lose me a huge amount of money, or does that not really matter at this stage of the game?

If doing him for jelavic I would keep jelavic for wolves game,so I'd you want to play r p again then rooney

At this stage the money shouldn't matter. If you have enough to get him back and that's what you want to do, do it.

I reckon Rooney might be the better option though. RVP away to Stoke, who've started their summer holidays early and Rooney away to City.

Yeah that RVP value has no meaning at this stage of the season especially when far cheaper options in Jelavic and Cisse are on the agenda. Just lose whoever you think will score less than Jelavic or Cisse.

RVP's goals have dried up there is no getting away from that. And with no Arteta or Walcott he has even less quality service plus away to Stoke is horrible for Arsenal. And if you want him back from the Norwich game that is easy enough.

Rooney is worth holding on to imo. Scoring consistently even without being anywhere near his best.

You can actually afford to sell both and go big with the WC by getting in all the best DGW prospects. Chances are you could score massively andwould be able to take a 4 or 8 point hit to get RVP and Rooney back for their favourable (h) fixtures.

Great points made right there. I think you've persuaded me to sell RVP and have a backup plan just incase he suddenly becomes essential for the Norwich game.

I personally would get rid of Rooney, but I know a lot of people will disagree.

There isn't really a right answer. With players like those, some all or none can produce at any given time.

I know, it's an extremely difficult call. My gut is telling me to keep Rooney, though, and do RVP and Aguero ➡ Jelavic and Cisse. So much potential to get stung badly...

Seems I'm being blinded my the wildcard, that I have to stock my team with DGWers. The Golden Boot is just as big a factor as a double and perhaps Cisse is the only DGW striker that I need?

I think I agree with removing Aguero but I just have a funny feeling about Rooney's potential for the derby and I really want him for that. RVP and Aguero out, Cisse and Jelavic in. Could make or break my entire season.

Right, tonight's template team, with a 4 point hit:

        Schwarzer
        Caulker, Simpson, Skrtel
        VDV, Dempsey, Sigurdsson, Ben Arfa
        Jelavic, Tevez/RVP, Suarez

Considering another hit of Tevez to Cisse or another defender in and drop Tevez/RVP. Any thoughts?

        Walcott -> Bale
        RVP -> Jelavic

        leaving me with

KRUL/Mignolet (yet to decide, probz the latter though)
        SIMPSON Caulker BAINES*
        BALE DEMPSEY Sigurdsson McClean
        CISSE JELAVIC Rooney

with Terry coming in for Baines if he's ruled out of the 1st game.

One of Bale/VDV is fine, both isn't necessary IMO, the back line is good, though Ivanovic and Luiz will probably be available for the second game of the DGW causing Chelsea rotation.

I'd also possibly swap McClean for Pienaar or Ben Arfa or someone as Sunderland just aren't scoring goals atm

My thinking is that he can't rest Terry from the 1st game, and the 2nd game is v Newcastle so is much harder and decisive so Terry is bound to play both.

I think it's generally best to spread your bets, don't double up on CSs or attack unless you're sure of the potential. When you have 4 decent prospects and are picking 2, different teams should give you a greater chance of points, you just have to hope the players you pick are involved

To anyone else who did Rooney > Aguero/Tevez this week, how frustrating was the Man City game?

I think that the Man U draw, perversely, had a negative impact on Kun's fantasy points. Last couple of games, with the title resigned and the weight of expectation off, City were absoutely tearing through teams with no fear as they were at the start of the season. Then, with the title once again a possibility, they totally shat it and clammed up again in case they blew it.

I was literally screaming at the telly for them to attack as they were tippy-tappy-ing it sideways and back between each other. Even as a Liverpool fan, you have to hand it to Man U - they are consistently the most direct and incisive team in the league

Seeing how poor they were at handling the pressure, I really cant see City seeing it out

Yeah they did look to clam up again and stop playing without fear as they have done recently. I think Wolves were never going to roll over with their last chance to avoid relegation so it was a bit of a different atmosphere today.

The derby decider is going to be massive though. Still hard to call who will come out on top of that one.

I did RvP > Aguero, Rooney > Tevez. Do I regret it? With Rooney's score this gw of course, but I never expected City to bottle it like they did today. If they'd been playing any other team they'd have been in trouble today.

I think if Utd win the derby than obviously, the title is theirs. If City win, I could definitely still see them slipping up - away at St James will be just as tough imo for them.

sess out for hba or pienaar or vdv or bale
don't get baines! might be out for the season. also kelly ahead of evans on the bench. and i might even go pog over ade tbh.

and with a ton of money i might upgrade bogdan or wheater to better dgwers

Well I think no point changing defenders unless they could ever possibly get mega scores (Terry, Baines only ones who add value with goals).

VDV is more tempting over Pienaar as he plays further forward though will play less minutes. Real p[ity Mata or Gerrard won't play both DGW. Would be good bet if so.

Pog is interesting but again no point in taking out Ade if he is fit and favoured.

If you sell Rooney will you not want him back for (h) to Swansea? And I see Tevez scoring against United then he is (h) to QPR 2 weeks after.

You should at least play your bench players. Half points are a silly idea, you would spend more trade selling injured players even though you don't need them. Players like Ferguson would be even more useless.

Thinking the same, but I'm pretty certain my rival will be going with him so thinking of captaining him to negate that player.. have more dgw players than him so will probably come out on top.

But very keen on Jelavic.. will decide later in the week.

Newcastle + Everton both play at 3pm on Saturday for their 1st DGW matches. Everton then play on the Tuesday while Newcastle's match is on Wednesday. Do you think Moyes will be tempted to rotate with the second game in quick succession? Just thinking the likes of Gueye, Anichebe, Straq, McFadden might play ahead of Jelavic in one of the matches?

Pienaar because of form + fixtures. HBA and Bale/VdV only have one of those.

I reckon Terry will start both because, as I said above, Luiz/Ivanovic probably won't be back for the QPR game and then he will obviously start the Newcastle game because it's the decider.

I'm not too sure about Cole though, I think Bertrand may play against QPR and Cole against Newcastle.
