With the transfer window finally behind us, it’s back to matters on the pitch as Gameweek three gets underway. Due to Chelsea’s Super Cup participation, we’ve got just the nine fixtures to squeeze fantasy points out of, starting at Upton Park as West Ham host city rivals Fulham. The Dugout Discussion opens to see Andy Carroll make his West Ham debut…

West Ham XI: Jaaskelainen, Demel, Reid, Collins, O’Brien, Noble, Diame, Nolan, Vaz Te, Taylor, Carroll.

Fulham XI: Schwarzer, Riether, Hangeland, Hughes, Riise, Diarra, Sidwell, Richardson, Duff, Rodallega, Petric.

Deemed surplussed to requirements at Anfield, Andy Carroll makes an immediate start for the Hammers, at the expense of Carlton Cole.

Fulham have their own new big-name striker in Dimitar Berbatov, but have chosen to name the former Manchester United man on amongst the substitutes. There is a start however for Kieran Richardson, and Steve Sidwell comes in to fill the void left by Moussa Dembele.

There’s then five more Premier League games to enjoy, climaxing at the Etihad Stadium where there’s a repeat of the last season’s most memorable game, Manchester City versus Queen’s Park Rangers. The Dugout Discussion chatroom is the place follow all the action, and can be accessed right here.

  1. So.. is that Petric's place in the starting XI gone then?

Bit gutted as that was my FT last week =(

    1. Nah I'd say it'll be berba and petrie up front

      1. so many decent mid price/budget picks this year.

  2. Mourinho watching the game at Etihad

  3. Thank you Yaya for not scoring!

    1. kompany should have scored

    2. He didn't hear you the second time :)

  4. I REALLY hate playing my WC this early.

It has improved my team every year so far but was hoping this year (because of a subscription to this site) would be different!

  5. Tevez assist?

    1. Must be.

  6. Yaya again........ :(

  7. I want a hattrick from Tevez (c), RVP and Clyne...

  8. came off lescott

    1. Don't think he touched it...

    2. GOAL Yaya Toure finally gets one for City. Tevez fails to connect properly with a volley and the Ivorian fires home from ten yards.

  9. Thank you Yaya!

  10. finally something....

  11. that pretty much rescued me. yaya goal and tevez captain. up to 28 points

  12. Yaya Toure, highest ownership and i even never consider him. when will i learn? a red arrow is coming !!

  13. I believe the youth parlance for this is sweeeeeeeeeeeeeet

  14. Took out Yaya for a hit to bring in Hazard to beat the price rise and he scores... Should have replaced Bale instead of Yaya...

Now planning to take out Bale... Who to bring in Kagawa/Yaya/Pienaar...

    1. You took out a City player before QPR at home?

    2. You still have 0.3m..

  15. Tom Clevery a good shout? £6 Mill...started last 2 games...even if you bench him its a Utd MF at the end of the day.

    1. Or you could have a midfielder who gets points consistently like Nolan

  16. Silva. How the mighty have fallen...

  17. my hunch on Yaya over kagawa/nasri/HBA worked well so far.....

  18. MC no CS again....

  19. Zab tweaked hammy!

“I love to attack and I love to go up front...It is a little more difficult than when you are playing centre-back. If you play the way that I want to play, I think my influence is better as a left-back. For the team, it is best that I play as a centre-back. I like to bring the ball out. You need to move the game quickly, and that is one of my qualities as well.”
