The ScoutCast – Episode Eighty Three – Kids

The latest episode, created mid-afternoon today, was not recorded amidst a playground, although, at times, the background noise and smutty innuendo would suggest as much.

While the fruit of our loins play merrily in adjacent rooms, Granville and I retire to find some quiet and systematically pull apart another week of Fantasy football with all the usual regulars thrown in. Granville has a 22-point lead to show for his efforts, while I’m doing all I can to remain calm after what can best be described as a false start. The green arrows are coming. Surely they’re coming?

    Hi all,

Fletcher not rising ruined my plans to get a 0.1 profit. Is there a chance he will see more xfers in tommorow and get a rise before the Gw begins?

Fletcher's on negative transfers in (and has been for days) so it looks extremely unlikely that he'll rise tonight.

Impossible to say for definite but at the moment, more people are selling him than are buying him. If that trend continues today then no, he won't rise until next gameweek, if at all.

    Howard (davis)
    rafael baines davies (demel cuellar)
    michu cazorla morrison pienaar (barfa)
    lambert suarez(c) rvp

    Have 0.2m and 1FT.

I have a couple of dilemmas
    1) I am currently doubling up on everton defence which i am not too keen on
    2) I dont have any spurs/chelski/city coverage and all three have great home fixtures. how can i bring in either bale/silva/mata esp since my current midfield might score points
    3) The other option i save a transfer and do 2 next gw and bring in a bale/silva without taking a hit

    Thoughts??

Still make a decision on who to bench...

    Nolan/Cazorla/Michu/Ben Arfa/Fellaini
    Lambert/RVP/Tevez

This is an impossible decision. First to 5 votes is for the bench...

I've got 2 FTs and am struggling to see where i cam use one. I'm thinking of maybe:

1/. swapping Howard to Begovic (frees up some cash and gives me great keeper rotation - except for next week) or,

2/. swapping Pienaar to Fellaini (who looks like he'll score more points - but cold easily not).

    Foster | Howard
    Baines | Ivan | Davies | Gibbs | Clark
    Bale | Pienaar | Michu | Hazard | Barfa
    Defoe | Berbs | Lambert

    Any thoughts?

Dilemma- Captain this week, can't decide.

Currently on Hazard, but it's between:-

    Hazard
Lambert (will be a tight match v Fulham, won't be many goals, IMO)
Tevez (could play a blinder but, again, Sunderland match should be tight)
    A. Cole (clean sheet and attacking returns potential)

Any help on this one would be appreciated! 🙂

Agree, and poll is one thing as it is influenced by how many owners, another thing is who will actually have the best chance to get a high score.

      Who to choose?
Michu - Nice fixture, but 3 blanks in a row...
Hazard - same as michu, and pretty overshadowed by mata at the moment
Rvp - always a goal or assist, but away against Newcastle and rotation risk?
Ba - in form, at home, but play manu
Aguero - as rvp and also guessed to be midfielder behind tevez and ballo in the team news

      Really difficult captain pick, anyone?

I wouldn't captain him, but for the next two he is a decent little differential given how many have jumped ship.

i did that (Barfa -> Bale), i know it's a big risk (New good fixtures GW9 onwards, Bale tired), but i wanted to catch the price rise & that in-from Bale is so tempting!

He couuld be a great differential with Liverpool's upcoming fixtures but he isn't exactly cheap and people aren't totally sold on Liverpool's form yet. In his price range, people would maybe rather have somebody like Bale or Cazorla in their team. Considering Gerrard has only scored 75 and 88 in his previous two seasons, respectively, you can understand why people would be reluctant to gamble on his ability to stay fit and consistency to deliver points.

People are annoyed that he keeps scoring, they want a more 'real FPL experience' full of mixed emotions and particularly heartbreak...it's no fun when your players just keep scoring...it's bloody demoralising!

Does captaining Suarez seem too much like chasing last week's points?

    Other options are:

    - Hazard (before I transfer next week)
    - RVP (always a threat)
    - Michu (he's got to score big again soon)

Probably after the international break. But it's anyone's guess how Wenger will handle it - Jenks and the back 4 as a whole have been excellent. I'd be wary of changing a winning formula.
