The ScoutCast – Episode Eighty Three – Kids

The latest episode, created mid-afternoon today, was not recorded amidst a playground, although, at times, the background noise and smutty innuendo would suggest as much.

While the fruit of our loins play merrily in adjacent rooms, Granville and I retire to find some quiet and systematically pull apart another week of Fantasy football with all the usual regulars thrown in. Granville has a 22-point lead to show for his efforts, while I’m doing all I can to remain calm after what can best be described as a false start. The green arrows are coming. Surely they’re coming?

Apparently im #126 overall in the Sky game. Problem is, I have no clue how many total players there are. I have to say i hate the website and the interface. there were a couple weeks where i didnt have the armband on the preferred player because i couldnt remember how to move it only to discover its done in the 'make transfers' area, which makes no sense.

Anyway, i know articles are written about it on the site, but i rarely see any discussion on the boards, probably not a peak time to be asking, but does anyone here know how to figure out how many overall players there are in the Sky Game?

this is probably the 3rd question regarding the Sky game ive asked here all season, and all three have been met with silence. This is exactly why i want to know how many play this damn thing.

    Lads, my team:

    Foster

    Rangel, Cole, Demel or Hughes

Hazard, Fellaini, Yaya, Cazorla or Michu

    Lambert, Tevez, Aguero

All set? Thinking of taking Tevez out for Ba, Berba, Jelavic, someone along those lines. Would replace him with Suarez, but I'm 0.1 short.

lol you have to decide to bench between cazorla or michu and your bummed you cant fit in suarez.

i cant see your other subs but i assume they are all bottomfeeders. none of those attackers need be rushed out for this week, id save the transfer, downgrade one of your 3 city attackers, and upgrade one of your cheap defenders.

Ahh! It's so frustrating. I'm haven't been impressed with Michu in recent weeks, but he has a decent match where he could bounce back vs Reading. And Cazorla is decent, and could bag points v West Ham. If you had to choose, who would you go for?

Also, I'll save the transfer. But next GW, which City attackers should get the boot?

I'm still not convinced Aguero is worth it. All 4 City strikers will get rotated, especially around CL games. I think Tevez is still the value call if you had him from 9.0m, at least for the time being.

I think it's a tough call. I expect MUN to bounce back from last w/e and it looks like Saylor and Collo may both be out. MUN goals will almost certainly involve RVP, plus he's on some set pieces (not sure about pens). Bale could equally do a lot of damage at home to a poor Villa too though, so I wouldn't be surprised if they both tear it up.

hmmm fair enough, My rule for captaincy is form and fixture. Bale has both. You cant ignore the home versus away factor and looking at how united faired against newcastle last year i would worry RVP wont get the service from midfield to do anything!

Yeah, I see your point. Bale is flying and I probably should go with him, especially given his home fixture, but RVP with Rooney, Kagawa & Valencia supplying him against a team with no first choice centre backs, screams points.

Ok, I'm trying to get RVP in without completely destroying my team.

How would you find 3.8 from this?

    Foster Begovic
    Hughes Baines Gibbs Demel Rafael
    Silva Cazorla Bale Fellaini Sterling
    RVP Ba Lambert

if you really want him, the easist way is to start by downgrade baines. i find it hard to imagine too may balanced squads that have rvp and baines. i just dont think rvp is so vital to shake things up though.

I wouldn't. But if forced, probably Gervinho for Cazorla and Rafael for a cheapie.

        keep cazorla...seriously
Gervinho isn't a bad shout but ditch silva for him
So what if you have 3 gooners
Gibbs and cazorla are assist machines that have go at goal too
And Gervinho is on the end of all their crosses and passes (even if he squanders 80 percent of them)

Cazorla is one Reina howler away from being scoreless this year. He's pure class as a player but I worry for his fantasy production. Silva and Cazorla are really similar to me except Silva plays for a better team and so will get more assists/goal opportunities.

I just clicked your link and it says you still have RvP? Maybe I'm interpreting the question wrong 🙁

If the question is how to get 3.8 from that not how to get RvP then I suggest the follwoing:

          1) Tevez -> Lambert then Michu -> Sterling

rafael to nelson or 4mil (bego baines hughes gibbs demel is best backline for the cash and potential- maybe foster to jaask if desperate but no need otherwise)
      silva to someone else

Alreet lads. I'm hoping that the fact that both williamson and perchinio were risked last night for 90 mins means that at least one of colo or saylor will be fit for sunday. However, it could just as easily be because we have nobody else to bring in!!!

Zero. the reason i like them is similar to baines, they're there to collect clean sheets but also will get a few assists and a goal or three over the season.

in other words i cant afford bale

my guess is walker gets a haul in one of these next three home games but johnson is a better long term investment, they have a very good fixture run especially at Anfield, up until the January WC.

Your team's worth more than mine for starters, and you have way more points than me.

Maybe its because 3 of your players are N/A's. And try spend a tad more on defenders from the bigger teams. They're much more likely to keep cleanies. Should of played Jussi instead of Ruddy last GW. It's Norwich after all.

Yeah, good point...I would have got Jelavic in if it wasn't for his injury...I thought he was going to miss the Southampton match. I only really doubled because I WCed and had Pienaar before and got Fellaini for his rises and decided to hold both for a favourable home fixture...and decide who to drop...I think I will drop Pienaar...possibly for Ramirez...
