Robin Van Persie also gets some oxygen – don’t worry, that’s not oxygen treatment – he’s just the subject of this week’s discussion as we chew the fat on the “essential” debate that appears to rage on as the Gamweek’s roll by. The regulars all find their place amongst the merriment, as heat is turned up on the mini-league and mini-game struggle between myself and Mancunian magic man.

Still can't choose between Morrison and Nolan...

The 0.3 from Morrison will definitely come in useful in the next few weeks and my two mini league leaders both have Nolan...

I have just looked at Spurs fixtures for the next couple months, and how can they be ranked number 1 for easiest run????? Ridiculous. Chelsea, three weeks later at City and then at Arsenal, then a London derby, then Liverpool, then at Fulham then the week after at Everton. Yes they have a few 'easy' fixtures in Swansea at home, Wigan home and Southampton away and so on, BUT do we still think Surs coverage is essential?

I think I'd rather get more City and Arsenal in, and somehow try and keep RVP at the same time.

RVP and Aguero up front would be beautiful..

      maybe, but I know I couldn't relax having captained giroud over rvp ...and it has to be cazorla anyway vs. norwich...he is by far the most likely to shoot, score and pass for arsenal. No brainer

    at least you have baines. yah, i'm not very impressed with cuellar or hangeland either so they are drop options as well although hangeland has a nice run of fixtures. so i should also mention i could do...

      keep cuellar if you have stuck with him so far. 4.5 playing for decent defending team. He's a keeper. I'm gonna switch hanglnd out for hughes when I can. Bit sideways but hughes is 4.5, nailed on and I watched him play the last game when he got the bonus. Looks good, if not spectacular and, again, plays for decent home team
      Do'nt touch those defenders...sometimes you have to sit through tough away weeks like this..gibbs and demel will be back v soon and both are gold

        thing i don't like about cuellar is he is never in attacking positions and i really feel you need all your defenders to have an attacking element because then you just rely on clean sheets which are hard to come by consistently. what are the odds newcastle doesn't score this weekend, probably not so good.

    Thing is, if Silva is out for more than a fortnight, then that gives me a nailed on attacking City player for wba, SWA, whm, when I can then get HBA for his really easy fixtures in GW 11.
    
    Have no other City, though that is perhaps irrelevant, and think Nas could score more than HBA who has sun, WBA, liv.

    That said, it comes with the caveat that though Fiso has been pretty reliable this year, they said that Fellani would drop last night (by about 10%), and Sahin wouldn't rise (2%). Fellani didn't and Sahin did so FISO can't have it exactly right.

      You could downgrade Wilson to a cheap shit guy, and Cuellar/Sterling/Foster, I wouldn't though, I'd do without Ba/HBA.
      
      I'd get Berbs over Lambert though.

  Downgrade Foster is the only way I can see you can release funds for Lambert > Ba. Otherwise it would unbalance a lovely team. (I won't suggest selling RVP as an option)
  
  Consider Walters for Morrison, as also has good fixtures and rotates better with Sterling.

    Hmm Yeah It's Nolan / Morrison / Walters for the 4th spot in my midfield since Bale and Santi are my heavy hitters and Pienaar is an excellent 3rd. I love my keeper combos though.. 🙁

        Considered Nasri instead of Bale too but rotational risk pushed me over the edge for Bale. then again..

        Exactly my point. Foster is gooooddd. Guess i'll run with my team and gamble on Newcastle stumbling. I do have a FT next GW on standby with some cash on hand.
        
        Besides newcastle fixture looks really good after GW11 so i got time.

        or doing berba -> ba instead of nolan -> barfa (berba fixture doesnt look good though)

        Thing is he rotates terribly with Begovic. And IF federici returns any time soon, you're stuck with a 4m....3.9m.... keeper and have to rely on Begovic when his fixtures inevitably turn a lot trickier.

Had 2 free transfers, used 1 to dump Federici, should I use 2nd. Thinking of getting an ARS defender maybe Mertesacker.

Current back 5 : demel, Rangel, saylor, Hughes, cueller

Thoughts? Thinking of dumping Rangel maybe? Or save thoughts, front line I'm ok with this week, team linked thanks.
