A series of eye-catching performances in the last few months of the previous campaign had Fantasy managers queuing up to acquire the services of Hatem Ben Arfa. Having struggled to convince Alan Pardew of a regular role in the Newcastle starting XI, the Frenchman finally flourished on Tyneside as Newcastle moved to 4-3-3 but while a shift back to 4-4-2 has benefitted Demba Ba this season, Ben Arfa hasn’t quite delivered.

The opening three Gameweeks had looked promising. Notching in each of his first two home matches, Ben Arfa seemed set to rack up the points but since grabbing his side’s only goal in the Gameweek 3 draw with Villa, his Fantasy owners have been served up nothing more than a solitary assist.

          Yeah there has been a lack of cs but he has.scored fairly consistantly still, always goid for the odd assist or bonus. I think.teams such as utd n city will start to tighten up at the back

      I had Rafael at the start of last season...and he got injured for bloody ages. There is that vulnerability to rotation but for some reason I can see him being a main-stay this season...he's improved drastically.

          Similar front 5 to me but I'd be hesitant to double up on the Chelsea midfield despite how good it may seem, Cazorla is still worth a shout IMO.

          Decent side alright.
          Swap Oscar for Morrison and McAnuff for Michu and improve your defence with whatever moneys left.
          Mata is enough cover for Chelsea and Oscar doesnt look worth his price at the moment.

          You needs Baines imo, he creates more chances than any player in the league, is on set pieces and pens and is a defender!! And Oscar will probably be rotated. Not bad though.

      This is my 3rd year playing FPL. I managed to finish 7489th the first year without ever transferring in Didier Drogba, on account of how much I hate him as a player. Last year I abandoned my team before the new year because of a shitty internet connection that made it hard for me to do transfers. Apparently I ended up 1389769th.

          For this GW I'd give it an 8-8.5 - looks very strong.

          Long term I think you have overspent on Friedel, Vertongen and Di Santo - I'd have Ruddy, Nelsen and Progrebynak instead.

          Should probably look for Michu and Mata with the cash saved
