Monitor – Hatem Ben Arfa

A series of eye-catching performances in the last few months of the previous campaign had Fantasy managers queuing up to acquire the services of Hatem Ben Arfa. Having struggled to convince Alan Pardew of a regular role in the Newcastle starting XI, the Frenchman finally flourished on Tyneside as Newcastle moved to 4-3-3 but while a shift back to 4-4-2 has benefitted Demba Ba this season, Ben Arfa hasn’t quite delivered.

The opening three Gameweeks had looked promising. Notching in each of his first two home matches, Ben Arfa seemed set to rack up the points but since grabbing his side’s only goal in the Gameweek 3 draw with Villa, his Fantasy owners have been served up nothing more than a solitary assist.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

Just to give you the head's up...Tonight's Scoutcast will feature an impromptu musical performance from Granville.

    Granville:

    Hello Markness, my old friend
I've come to talk with you again
    Because a vision softly creeping
Left its seeds while I was sleeping
And the vision that was planted in my brain
    Still remains
    Within the sound of Lolarov

Hello Clever people. Would anyone care to cast an eye over my team (linked).

Haven't had RVP so far but think he is mandatory for the next 6-7 weeks?

    Thinking:

    Ba ➡ RVP
    Caz ➡ Valencia
    Jenkinson ➡ Wilkinson

-4 point hit leaving .2 in the bank

    Any help greatly appreciated!

Have to get rid of Caz for to get the money for RVP.

I have 8.8 after Caz is sold. Reckon Valencia best option at that price? Could get rid of Hazard but he's playing very well.

You reckon Cameron more nailed on then Wilkinson?

Got a dilema, I've done cazorla > bale already, but have ba and aguero up front with rvp. Ba is doubtful and aguero is likely to be rested with the ucl next week. i dont think I can afford to have 2 strikers not playing so surly this scenario would justify a 4 point hit even though I don't like hits. Thing is which one do I transfer out and who do I bring in? Mid is pienaar bale michu walters. Thanks

I'm using my transfer on Wilson too but I think I'm happier going with Wilkinson.
The defender spot is his to lose imo. Pulis seems to love em, was saying what a top pro he is after he got up and got on with it during the game last week. Pure Stoke. I think himself and Cameron will score more or less the same so I'd rather that 0.1. That's 2 price rises.

Thoughts on my team? Used FT this week on Gibbs -> Clichy.

    Foster – Begovic

    Baines – Clichy – Hughes – Demel – Davies

    RVP – Jelavic – Berbatov

Really nice team, defence maybe could be slightly better but with the exception of Baines defenders are hard to pick.
Clichy is to much of a rotation risk for me. He starts most weeks but still he missed out a couple of times.

Can anybody try to explain me Bale's lack of goalscoring form at home? He's gone 12 consecutive games at WHL without scoring a goal. I ask this as I'm strongly considering purchasing his services tonight and am a little put out by such a stat!

Small sample size. The home/away split is way more chance than trend. Remember Dempsey not doing anything away from home last year and then grabbing a hattrick? It can change at any time.

Hmmm, I'm not sure I get your point here...Dempsey scored a hat-trick at home last season against Newcastle...I remember it well because I captained him that day 😀

I think Dempsey's away form last season was easily explained by Fulham's general ineptitude away from home in general. Bale's home form however is harder to explain...

Spurs have scored 1,1,2,2,2 at home this season. They haven't been prolific at home at all. Even Defoe has scored more away from home.

Spurs have pace in abundance, set up to counter attack away from home, where at home opponents often sit back,.

He plays best on the counter attack. That happens more away from home.

Would anyone be confident playing Lambert or Pogbrenyak this weekend? Trying to figure out if I need to move one of them and take a hit to a mid 7.0s forward to field enough attackers

That's where I'm leaning as well. Not much playing time on the road for him is offset by no midweek action.

    Evening all,

what do you guys reckon, would buying Cuellar at the expense of Demel be a good move with this team

    Begovic
    Simpson Baines Lescott
    Sterling Bale Lallana Cazorla
    Pog RVP Tevez
    Subs: Schwarzer Maloney Gorkss Demel
    1 FT, 1.3 in bank

Obviously don't like Lescott much either but he can't be dropped from the first eleven in two consecutive GWs, can he?

Two questions, one for the United fans and one for the open floor.

Would I be correct in saying De Gea looks like Sir Red Nose choice for number one keeper? Lindergard showed allot of flaws last night.

Oscar, lots of potential, do we fancy him to push on and do well in the league, ala his champions league form? Has looked good on the pitch and probably done enough to justify more points so far in his short playing time.
