We just won’t let it lie. Having rinsed through the idea in this week’s Digest, the prospect of dropping this new breed of “in the hole” midfielders into a new Fantasy position gets another airing in this week’s ‘Cast. Granville agrees but we still somehow manage to argue about it.

Around that particular hot topic, there’s our usual brand of regulars, plus a preview of the two sides that lie in wait for us in the Fantasy Football Scout Cup and the latest on Ed’s team and his work on the new comments system. “Mr Ghostship” had a bad week – could it be all the attention has piled the pressure on his big coding shoulders?

      Baines downgrade to Rafa, not Sagna. If you're losing Baines, you'll want to to get a defender that will get you attacking returns. Bacary won't get you much in the attacking department.

        No its because i would have been on approx 560-580 points. I didnt C RVP and made very very bad C choices even though they were obvious picks for that week. in 6 weeks i got about 10 points in total for C points. So you could say i would have been on about 560 with average C choices but i was very unlucky.

        I don't have issues with that or you taking advice or giving advice. Just, stop posting your team just to say its a great team. Nothing personal mate. I like posting my team too, but maybe you should ask questions like how you would want to go forward with the team or of that kind. If you continue this, you will attract the wrong kind of attention. I think i pushed it with the getting personal bit, and apologies for that.

        No dramas mate. Its just that if i post RVP is too expensive everyone will just snap and say "Oh but you dont have RVP, thats why". And you know it.

  His price ain't unfair. Makes the game better. I think he us fairly over-priced as is Baines but they'll probably prove me wrong and get those with the balls to get them a shitload of points and fair play to them 🙂 Obviously Van Persie's fom is better than Baines. It's a game, some risk involved. I have neither at this point.

  I thought that when he scored 1, 6, 5, 4 with stiff fixtures to come so I got rid. The following three weeks my three strikers scored 16pts and he got 31pts on his own. So I've bought him back today. I'm not expecting a return to single digit scoring with United's fixtures. But hey, I've got it wrong before...

  Should never have happened, but when I saw the work I am expected to do from Jan, I most definitely realized I will have to take time off FFS/FPL at-least for the first six months of the job. Hence a no-care attitude, plus I was really pissed that day.

Walcott is playing for either a new contract or to be picked up by another club between now and January...

That sweetens the pot. Players tend to step it up when playing for a future. E.g. Rosicky last year.

      yupp. he says (which i agree with) that saylor is miles better than williamson. and it makes sense because if you look saylor started the last game alongside colo. only reason he didn't start before that was he was injured and then was being eased back in i believe

My concerns are that although Jenkinson most improved Arsenal player this season and he has risen 500k in FPL, is that Wenger dropped him, also Mannone will be dropped when schezney fit

Why am I so tempted to start Gorkss over Saylor?

I guess their goal threat is similar so it comes down to clean sheet chances. I knew Newcastle have a couple of injuries but I would probably still rate them as a better defensive unit. Only problem is the fixture. Norwich home looks a lot more tempting than West Ham home.
