No query on Yaya's 'assist' then? I've just watched it 10 times and I still can't see if it's him or the Spurs player who gets the touch.

What teams do you see as essential for attacking coverage from now until Jan WC?

I'm on a WC so want to get the best possible set up now... so far I'm thinking this... anyone disagree or got better options?

United - I've got RVP but can see Rooney as a viable alternative...
Citeh - I've got Silva as a bit of a differential right now, can see Aguero coming into his own one they get knocked out though... but that should only be better for Silva...
Liverpool - Suarez is just a no brainer for me right now... and the fixtures are great all the way through... also have Sterling as bench fodder...
Everton - The stats suggest they are necessary, I think Baines/Fellaini is good enough coverage here...
Chelsea - One of Mata/Hazard IMO, I've got Mata cos he's cheaper...

I don't have Arsenal coverage, which is a worry, but will consider Walcott or Giroud if and when I get suspensions/injuries... another is Spurs, they are so inconsistent, and Bale is so inconsistent, but I know he will still get some good hauls, but I'd rather get Silva's consistent stream of assists and the odd goal than Bales 2,2,2,13,2 to be perfectly honest...

With all those big teams covered, we obviously need to look at mid priced options to fill in the gaps, since we can't have all expensive players... I'm thinking West Ham, and probably Nolan, he just seems to be there or thereabouts every year... I can see him scoring 10-15 goals this season easily...

WBA's Morrison is another option and I may still go down that route...

I have given up on Ba, Michu, Lambert so haven't mentioned their respective teams...

Thanks in advance for your thoughts...

I think you need one from each of United, Citeh, Liverpool, Everton, Chelsea, Arsenal/Spurs. That leaves only two other spots in your front 8. Possibly only one other spot if you manage to get an Arsenal and a Spurs player.

If I were to select a front 8 it would be something like this

Mata, Fellaini, Sterling, 2 of Silva/Bale/Walcott
        RVP, Berbatov, 1 of Ba/Suarez/Giroud

In terms of who you select it depends on having all your basis covered. Personally I'm not a fan of having both Suarez and Sterling as the 17 year old provides cheap cover allowing for more coverage from other players and their respective sides.

Yes he is coverage, but Liverpool are scoring, and he isn't really getting amongst the points as often as I'd like... don't get me wrong 1 goal/2 assists is great for 5m but I want to tap into more, if not all, of Liverpools goals... and I see them scoring even more in the weeks to come...

Like I say, still brilliant value and great as bench fodder, but I will play Suarez every game, and I think he can score every game from now until Jan WC...

I have RVP, Silva, Suarez (Sterling as bench fodder), Fellaini, Mata... and Berbatov

I'll go without Arsenal/Spurs for now, but can't have Bale/Walcott without sacrificing one of the above... don't really want to do that...

Maybe Giroud if/when Suarez is banned...

First name on the team-sheet should be Berb IMO. One of Aguero/Silva, one of Rooney/RVP. Mata, Bale, Cazorla all good picks. Suarez also seems a solid pick depending on whether you go with Aguero or Silva. Baines Fellaini seems sensible and I'd go for Nolan over Morrison.

Any plans for defensive rotation? Sunderland and Stoke cover seems essential. Bego + Cuellar perhaps. Gorkss also looks a good buy given his DGW and price. Maybe a couple of other cheap defenders to fill the gaps too.

I forgot to mention. Don't worry about not having a player from any particular team. The logic of attacking 'cover' is flawed.

    Begovic (Ruddy)
    Rafael, Sagna, Gallas, (Demel), (Fonte)
    Fellaini, Michu, Carzola, Bale, (Sterling)
    Berba, RVP, Suarez

My conundrum is that for the Carzola/Bale price range, there is also Mata and Silva. I'm struggling to decide which of the two to have. I have no Chelsea/City coverage at all. Who would be your first two choices from the four players?

Yeah, but what do you mean by 5ht midf? Bench material for if someone doesn't play or rotating with a cheap striker? Ba/Rvp/berba is not rotating material.

Look at Kaca. Played early on then got benched. Now playing again and getting pts on my bench.

A 5th mid is basically bench fodder who fills in for the odd injury or suspension etc.

I mean someone who will play every week and step in should you have an injury/suspension. I would play him in a fixture when my 4th mid has a poor fixture - in my case, Pie. I wouldn't buy him with the intention of rotating him - I don't like to rotate attackers as returns are harder to predict.

i'd agree with this if there was such a thing. i have a front eight. they are all shit mind. but were i to evaluate them separately and tier them according to their viability as point gatherers, i'd consider my fifth mid to be the one with the worst fixture. unless it's maloney. cos it's probably maloney
