We’re down to the last four now in the Fantasy Football Scout Paddy Power Cup VII now. The next round will take place over Gameweek 22 and will see David Bevan’s “ange1range1” take on Sir Alex Jnr’s “Milehigh” – the former is the clear underdog going into this one; although he’s nestled inside the top 7,000, David’s opponent has moved ominously into 34th place overall after yesterday’s seven fixtures.

Site regular “WildRover” is the early favourite heading into the second semi-final. He has moved up to 439th in the overall rankings ahead of tonight’s three remaining Gameweek 21 fixtures, while his opponent, Mr KK, is just inside the 30,000 mark. With winter wildcards available, however, the form book could easily be turned on its head as our quartet plot for silverware…

  1. is pienarr going to be a better option that fellani if fellani is deeper??

  2. PSG are some team now with Moura. Hopefully they can gel the players together and make some good chemistry.

    1. i actually feel bad for the french players they had before the big money came in !
there is some talk about hoatau coming to sunderland

      1. *guillaume hoarau*

      2. French Media said that Hoarau has left Doha, where PSG players are training. He could be going to China though.

        1. he could be could to a mid table team in the PL, but if he goes to china, its for the money !

    2. Watching em play now? Looking good.

  3. Amongst all the Ba/Torres chat one thing sticks out to me...RVP + Saurez are now essential. Scorers, generally starters, the hub of each team, what more do you want!

Paired with either a mid-price in a 3-4-3, or budget for the bench in a 3-5-2. As a RVP/Saurez +Tevez owner, I'm thinking of getting the Afro fella back and going 3-5-2. My 6.0m left over will allow Ruiz nicely for the bench, or maybe Jones at 5.0m and invest a bit at the back?

    1. Yep. Even before the Ba transfer talks, this was true.

    2. Suarez and Studge could be interesting. I'd see Brendan asking Luis to drop in behind Studge, which could be good for creativity but could hit goal output. Studge would then a be a 'Pool Defoe. For the price, I'll be giving Studge serious WC consideration over Luis.

  4. How nailed on is Hazard???

    1. With the fat waitor in charge no player is nailed on even his love child fernando

  5. Ba to Chelsea and Bale to Madrid gives me perfect front 8 for the rest of the season::

    Mata-Silva-Michu-Fellaini-Walcott

    RVP-Suarez-Ruiz

what do you think about this guys???

    1. Bale is far from confirmed afaik.

    2. Get a cheaper bench fodder than Ruiz as he'll almost certainly be benched every week. Pog would be my choice. Use the cash to upgrade defence.

  6. Could Chelsea not splashing major cash on a striker like Falcao actually have something to do with FFP or is Roman just tired of leaking cash?

    1. This summer:

      Torres out, Falcao in.

    2. Roman has been adamant about Chelsea washing it's financial face in the long-term, so part of the ongoing strategy. But I would imagine that FFP has pushed the expediency button for them.

  7. The bloody trigger happy Stoke owners may have forced me into wildcarding: http://i.imgur.com/0Y4fF.png

      1. I think I might need some Stoke cover.

    1. busy transfer window..

    2. you'll be transferring out Stoke players forever

    3. hmm, missing messi in your team.

    4. love the soutify button, i guess that adds moses, maloney, rvp, michu along with the two most talked about bandwagons for the given week to ur team automatically

      1. Yep, it keeps putting Matty Taylor in there for some reason.

        1. he was average a couple of years back so it makes perfect sense

    5. tony pulis wet dream

    6. What's happening? :-D

        :)

  9. Going by the Everton lineup Fellaini is CM not Second Striker...Might be a worrying trend if it continues from an FPL perspective

    1. hope that. I dont want to break my happy midfield

    2. Line up out?

      1. pienaar baines + anchiebe all start too

        1. posted by demi

    3. personally i think this would be ideal as the template would be broken somewhat....think i'm going Snodgrass instead of Fellaini for the WC

      1. Depends whether Anichebe keeps his place...probably unlikely in the long run but he's been pretty good and Moyes has obviously decided not to drop him.

    4. Pienaar/Sess could become better options from now onwards if that is the case

    5. Link please? Are the other line-ups out too?

      1. Howard, Neville, Baines, Distin, Jags, Fellaini, Osman, Pienaar, Hitzelsperger, Jelly, Anichebe

  10. I love this JAN WC

    Another draft team

rating out of 10 please ?

    Mignolet

    Johnson Huth Vert

    Walcott Mata Pilk Bale

    Fletcher RVP Sturrige

    subs - Kaca Davies Harte

    Went for a balanced squad

    Solid keeper
    good defence
    strong mid
    good attack

    1. dreadful

      1. I agree, Way too heavy in defence.

      2. very dreadful

    2. would swap out sturridge/fletcher for berba and maybe downgrade vert/johnson to afford fellaini for pilk?

  11. sturridge affecting suarez' fpl potential?

  12. What changes shall i make to my WC??

    De Gea (Rudd)
    Evans J / Gibbs / Zabaleta (Cuellar / Mariappa)
Michu / Mata / Walcott / Fellaini (Marveaux)
Berbatov / Dzeko / Van Persie

planning to play Dzeko for a couple of weeks while Kun is out, not sure about having a dead sub keeper?

  13. A) Aguero and Prog

    Or

    B) Suarez and Ruiz

    In a 352

  14. So who are people thinking for Ba replacements?
