Just as Steven Gerrard dominated in the midfielders bracket over the Christmas period, Luis Suarez reigned supreme amongst the strikers. With five goals and two assists making him the most profitable forward on show, surpassing even Robin Van Persie’s FPL returns in the same window.

Can't see him keeping it up in the second half of the season. His goals come from sheer number of shots (he isn't the most clinical of finishers, even though he is a fantastic footballer) and with Sturridge there to take some of the shots for him...
he is that good that only sky is a limit for him and i can see him doing even better

Ruiz playing is such a huge boost to Berba's output. It allows Berba to play further forward.

Is azpilicuetta worth a try? Can't really afford anybody else except Turnbull who I'm not keen on now.
I was thinking of Turnbull, but it sounds like Cech isn't too far from a return, and I remember loads of people getting stuck with Hilario last season.

If Van Persie isn't even matching upto other strikers' threat now, just wait until Rooney is back. If you can't predict captains very well, RVP is superb to have for his consistency. But if you want to be 1st in the world, i think you have to go without him and get your captain picks right every week. Van Persie won't be the only player on your team to score decent points in a given week.
But he will be the only player in your team he scores consistently every week!!! do one you rvp hater
But you can change the captaincy every week. You don't have to glue it to one player. And i am far from a Van Persie hater!!

Looked at RVP points with and without Rooney a month ago and it was very clear he scores much higher without Rooney.

It will be very diffucult to do, i s'pose it depends where else i can spend the cash. A lot depends on Fellaini's fate.
Hat to sound like Doos here but you have to appreciate a players ability sometimes too. RVP is a top, top finisher. His threat level doesn't need to be quite as high - and it's still bloody high. Plus he creates some beautiful chances for his team mates.
I'm never going to be number 1 and I'm happy enough with that RVP (C) has delivered the past 14 weeks.
How do you manage to get your (c) pick right every week when you are chopping and changing who gets the armband? That's impossible.
And 'threat' is just another statistic. You can be more threatening statistically but not get as much quality service as United provide and not be as clinical as RVP in front of goal which we see on a regular basis from the likes of Suarez etc.
Not impossible, but very difficult. RVP is a great pick, but i am ambitious, so i don't think me and him are a good match 🙂

Looks pretty darn good. I think you have the best four midfielders and the two best strikers. The only concern is the lack of Suarez and Michu, but you can't have them all.
