Rush. The best form of goalkeepers for the playground. A long-haired Canadian prog-rock outfit. A mustachioed goal sniffer and, sadly, a description of how Granville and myself had to approach this latest episode of the podcast.

With our studio slot limited, we had to skinny things up and turn this one out double-time. Nonetheless, in 26-minutes, we touched on all the regulars, whilst scattering the silence in between with the usual sniping between the pair of us. It makes you wonder what we waste the other twenty minutes on every week.

          2 weeks ago i faced a dead team with power5mid of kagawa, colback, dyer, britton, mccarthy +kolarov o'shea a ferdidand in defence & rooney up top =) it was a draw (he got rvp captain) and i got through on goals scored.

    I haven't seen anyone questioning the Southampton-Everton game so far, but isn't that one going to be at risk of snow as well. Not there myself, but seems to fall in the catchment area of where the snow has been.

    So even if snow cancels both keepers, it's not worth a hit to bring in a DGW GK.

      Not sure about that actually......... it would be quite a defensive move to do that, and a tool like the projections on here would expect both Sceseney and Jaask to get you more than 4 points this week.

      Could gain 4 or more points, unlikely to lose more than 2.

        Hmm. I suppose the least you get out of two matches is 3, which is -1, so anything better than that is at least break-even. My concern is that for minimum impact you just saddled yourself with a keeper that was not in your plans. Much different if you plan to WC after.

          I know but I don't see it as too much trouble. If *that* many games get postponed and you WC you're gonna end up with all players from the same team, most of which you probably won't want after next week, and if only a few are cancelled those who WC'd will be fine.

            But your ideal wildcard team may only have 9 play for example. Would you tinker with it to get 11 on the field or just leave it. Seems like it'll be a massive head ache to have and generally a waste of the WC

      They do sometimes announce them in the morning before the deadline. If they are not sure, they might leave the decision later. Obviously, won't know about Sun / Mon games.
