A frustrating evening for Gareth Bale and Fantasy managers as Spurs and Chelsea play out a stalemate at the Bridge with the goals shared amongst unlikely differentials. Here’s the Stock Check from Wednesday’s Gameweek climax.

On the Up

Oscar
The young Brazilian was identified as our headline act in our Differentials article prior to the Gameweek deadline and duly delivered. Tonight’s tap in was his third goal in four games for Oscar, who has started five of the last six league outings. Owned by under 2% of Fantasy Premier League managers, we picked him this week out as a possible replacement for the injured Michu over the final two matches and, with tonight’s returns, many could now look in his direction.

Emmanuel Adebayor
The Togo striker put on a superb showing, earning goal and assist returns for the second time in his last four starts. Adebayor has endured a hugely disappointing season back in Spurs colours and has in no way justified his lofty FPL price tag. His end of season form is, however, looking strong and he could yet be considered as a potential differential for the final two fixtures by those with cash to spare up top.

Going Down

Eden Hazard
While Juan Mata kept ticking over and came out of the double Gameweek with an assist, his fellow playmaker was given just 72 minutes to earn returns for his investors and come up short. Hazard’s failure was compounded by Oscar’s profits and the Belgian’s owners will now have to hope for consecutive starts over the final two fixtures and a rapid turnaround in fortunes.

Jermain Defoe
Dropped to the bench after an ineffective display against Southampton, Adebayor’s performance will surely make a huge dent in Defoe’s prospects over the remaining fixtures and kill off any thoughts that the England striker could be an effective differential for the season climax.

  1. Have finished Top of a Head to Head League and we head into semi finals week 37.

    Anyone know if it's 1 v 4 and 2 v 3 or is it random??

    1. The first one.

        • 1 year, 6 months ago
  2. Next season is going to be awesome isn't it? New manager at Utd and Chelsea, City bound to spend ridiculous money, Bale being linked with the other top teams even Arsenal might finally start spending some money....

Plenty to look forward to :-D

    • 1 year, 6 months ago
    1. I'm looking forward to the month or so before the season starts when my fantasy team looks so full of promise, it's a glorious time before it all comes crashing down around my ears!

      • 1 year, 6 months ago
    2. I'm looking forward to a good influx of new strikers...Quite a few teams struggling in that dept after a season of mainly midfield stars in the PL....

      • 1 year, 6 months ago
  3. Anyone else bringing in Lambert this week? Saint's generally perform when they have to.

    • 1 year, 6 months ago
    1. Do they have to? A loss by Wigan & no issue. Sold Lambert last week.

      • 1 year, 6 months ago
      1. If Wigan don't win at Emirates Southampten effectively safe with their Goal Diff.....................

        • 1 year, 6 months ago
    2. He is in poor form.

      • 1 year, 6 months ago
      1. has been close a lot though.

        • 1 year, 6 months ago
  4. Think Chelsea will play a strong team vs Villa for sure. Benfica have a league decider vs Porto this weekend so neither team will be resting much imo. Top 4 is very important & Villa have found some form.

    • 1 year, 6 months ago
    1. You think wrong

    2. They will play a strong team.. top 4 finish is more important to Roman than Europa League title..

      • 1 year, 6 months ago
      1. Europa League is more important to Rafa's CV. Frankly, he couldn't give a toss about whether Chelsea qualify for the CL next season or not.

        • 1 year, 6 months ago
        1. Roman is watching Rafa..

          • 1 year, 6 months ago
          1. That'll terrify him, what if he doesn't get his contract renewed for next season?

        2. Frankly, at this stage I don't think he could not dive a toss ....period.

          • 1 year, 6 months ago
          1. *give* :D

            • 1 year, 6 months ago
    3. Mata will be rested.

      • 1 year, 6 months ago
      1. I think Mata will be rested and give Hazard a chance to get some confidence

        • 1 year, 6 months ago
      2. Depends on Hazard imo.

        • 1 year, 6 months ago
      3. Oscar can run the show ;)

        • 1 year, 6 months ago
    4. You're right

      1. No he's not.

  5. Team linked. Have Michu, Yaya and Berbatov all needing to go with 1FT. Prepared to take a 4 pointer at this late stage. Any suggestions??/

    • 1 year, 6 months ago
    1. Looks like you could afford Yaya and Michu to Cout and Fellaini for -4. Then plan on Berb to Sturridge for GW 38.

      • 1 year, 6 months ago
      1. Like Cout but Fellaini has frustrated me senseless this season.

        • 1 year, 6 months ago
        1. Me too, but a decent fixture this GW, and a lack of good alternatives in that price range. Plus his stats have been improving lately, explosion imminent. But if you prefer, can you afford Lampard instead?

          • 1 year, 6 months ago
          1. Yup, but bloody rafatation is a lottery

            • 1 year, 6 months ago
  6. Highest rated comment on Rooney article...

Been sat at OT week in, week out wondering why we persevere with an over-weight, over-hyped ego. His contribution to open play is not good enough for someone on some of the highest wages at OT. He clearly does not accept playing second fiddle to RvP who has proved his value both in terms of goals and his contribution to games. We need players who want to be there and work hard. Let him go.

  7. The Fuhrer is displeased... with his double gameweek points.

    1. Nicely done, my favourite one of these (for utterly biased reasons) is the one where Hitler is an Arsenal fan on the day where they drew 4-4 at Newcastle.

  8. Choose:

    1. Michu > Coutinho
    2. Kone > Sturridge (Closest rival 27 points behind me has Sturdg)
    3. 1 and Federici > Reina (other GK DDG) -4
    4. 2 and Federici > Reina (other GK DDG) -4

    1. 2 if ML is important.

      • 1 year, 6 months ago
      1. That means Michu benched. Seems odd

        • 1 year, 6 months ago
        1. ML do that. I'd take a hit as rotation will probably mean only 6 attackers.

          • 1 year, 6 months ago
  9. Oscar or Coutinho?

    • 1 year, 6 months ago
      • 1 year, 6 months ago
    1. Cout

      • 1 year, 6 months ago
  10. Do you guys think a 37 point lead is enough to win a mini league?

    • 1 year, 6 months ago
    1. Depends on how closely matched your team is with your rival(s) I guess

      • 1 year, 6 months ago
    2. Assuming you have a strong team, then definitely.

      • 1 year, 6 months ago
    3. Yes

      • 1 year, 6 months ago
    4. Should have it in the bag.

      • 1 year, 6 months ago
    5. Depends on the ML leader.

      • 1 year, 6 months ago
  11. Play:

    A) Benteke at home to Chelsea
    B) Maloney away at Arsenal

    Jussi
    Jones Verts Zabs
    Hazard Bale Walcott Coutinho
    van Persie Benteke Tevez

    Maloney, Demel, Davies

    • 1 year, 6 months ago
    1. Looks nice

      • 1 year, 6 months ago
      1. van Persie to Andy Carroll on the final day is a no brainer.

  15. 2FT 5.1 to spend who would you bring in ?

    Hart (Bunn)
    Demel, Davies, Wilson, R.Martin, Clyne
    Michu,Mata, Bale,Santi, Silva
    Defoe,Lambert, Berbatov

Winning my mini league 6 pts ... My rivals have both got RVP .... Do I need to get him back ? Or Consider bringing in Phil Jones, Lampard or Walcott , and Sturridge

“Last year was quite open for me, I was in good positions, but I was quite lucky because I was getting free kicks and some penalties as well.”
