KPI Analysis – Robin Van Persie

A fortnight ago, we rolled out a Preview Movie of the latest addition to our Members Area – the Key Performance Indicators (KPI) tables. Essentially, these track the frequency of certain key statistics that can help Fantasy managers identify a player’s form – whether it be a turn for the good or worse – over a Gameweek range or season. With this in mind, our first KPI focused members article looks at Robin Van Persie’s first season at United compared to his final year leading the line for Arsenal.

By tracking Van Persie’s frequency of key stats, Fantasy managers can begin to quantify and identify the exact areas of the Dutchman’s game that have altered since his move to Old Trafford last summer as they prepare potential investment for the season ahead.

Two things I'm curious about, having looked at many comments:

1) Why all the faith in Southampton's defence? Fixtures are great but weren't they very leaky last season?

2) All these teams with Lukaku in...has Mourinho suggested something? Because it looks like a crazy bandwagon to me.

        Shelvey isnt a striker, and Moore doesnt count as he isnt good enough.
        
        In the CL, Giroud, Podolski, Walcott and Gervinho (Walcott played a fair number in the CL)

        If Moore doesn't count because he isn't good enough than what about Gervinho? I am making the point that they have added players to increase the squad for European games and just because the will play EL doesn't mean their players will suffer from FPL perspective.

I haven't played with this tool yet (snigger) but what would be interesting would be to see how his stats changed over the course of the season as he settled in. From memory I actually feel like he did better in the first half of the season, but I've been wrong before.

Still not Baling out just yet. If he goes, so long as it is in the next 10 days or so there will be time to take everything constructed around him apart. Plus need to see how much Solado will be priced at etc. Patience is the key here.....
