Monitor – Adebayor and Eriksen

As Tottenham’s momentum under Tim Sherwood continues to build, two of their first-team have emerged as leading contenders for our Fantasy attention. Since the departure of Andre Villas-Boas, Emmanuel Adebayor has played a part in six (three goals and three assists) of Spurs’ 11 goals over five matches, whilst Christian Eriksen has chipped in with three goals and an assist.

With 36 points apiece in the Fantasy Premier League (FPL) game, many wildcard drafts currently include one of the duo in light of Sherwood’s penchant for attacking football. Both are still very favourably priced, with Adebayor slightly more expensive at 7.8 to 7.3 and, as interest intensifies, we cast an eye over the pair’s recent displays and also compare them to other options in their respective classifications.

        Hmmm, third strikers tend to disappoint in my experience. I prefer to use the 4m or so that someone like Chamakh frees up to strengthen my team everywhere else.

Right, my WC team is pretty much in the bag.

Marshall - Mannone
Chester - Clyne - Williamson - Ward - Collins (will be bringing him in after he falls)
Hazard - Cazorla - Silva - Noone - Wilshere (to be Ramsey once fit)
Suarez - Aguero - Negredo (to be Rooney once fit)

Yes, the defence is conventionally weak, but once you look at their fixture rotation I believe that it could be very profitable
Take a look at Cazorla versus Ozil last six matches members
0.3 gives me a bit of flexibility but I can always do Silva > Navas if I need to free up some money.

I'm sure you'll all tear it to pieces, but then I wouldn't post it on here if I didn't want you to!

So, a shameless repost. I currently have this team:

Puncheon - Özil - Silva - Whittingham - Hazard
Suarez - Lukaku - Giroud

I can still afford this WC team, but only 0.2 price margin:

B) Boruc - Mannone
Coleman - Ward - Sagna - Zaba - Chester
Puncheon - Özil - Silva - Pozuela - Hazard
Suarez - Aguero - Giroud

If I wait and lose that margin (Aguero up, Luka down), I can safely still do this for GW 23 or GW24:

C) Boruc - Mannone
Coleman - Hudson - Sagna - Zaba - bardsley/Alonso
Ramsey - Silva - Pozuela - Hazard - Eriksen/Lallana/Cabaye
