It’s the ScoutCast vs Adversity. Granville drags himself out of his sick bed and we scramble into a makeshift studio, determined to return to the airwaves after our absence last week.

Apologies in advance for the echo, the faint background hiss and Granville’s Bonnie Tyler-like tones. If you can see your way past that little lot then you might just find some worth in this week’s episode as we grill the Gameweek 29 blank, sauté the Gameweek 31 doubles, boil down the Suarez vs Sturridge debate and lament our joint decision to choose Edin Dzeko from the lavish striker buffet, ignoring the sumptuous Sturridge in the process.

In between that particular call to Captain Hindsight, we rinse through the regulars, although Granville’s poorly state has us clean forget to credit the Scout League leaders or offer our thoughts on our new Fantasy Football squeeze – Ultimate Fantasy Premier League. Please accept this note from our respective Mum’s and the promise that we’ll return to full fitness next week.

    As I understand it a player can only change 0.3 in a week. But what if someone like Eriksen went down in value 0.2 in a week then people started buying him could he potentaially go up more than 0.1 from there? He would have had 3 price changes in a week already but would only be sat 0.1 from his original price

      I think the rule is that they are limited to a net increase/decrease of 0.3?

      Don't get him... inconsistent, not nailed on, plays in one of the most frustrating teams in real life, and in terms of fantasy assets!

        You are bitter. Have had Eriksen for a while and has been brilliant apart from the last couple of weeks where he wasn't selected. I was contemplating a sale but it would have just left me another player short in GW 29. No point if he is likely to play

    The biggest decision of the week has been which mid to get and I have chosen to get Ince even though I already have Puncheon.
    Snodgrass was the other option but can't really convince myself to get him. Norwich just don't score enough. And Ince has a dgw soon so i won't have to spend 2 FTs on getting a mid in then selling him.

        I've been riding the Eriksen wave this entire season as well. He scored from a free kick but recorded an assist as well (was given man of the match) and we all know how he started playing after getting that Free kick goal a few weeks ago

    I am tempted by C as there dont seem to be any other decent captain options in GW29, however this would mean I would have to go with RVP over Aguero for the DGW. This might not be a bad thing though as Aguero might be eased back in and not be nailed on to start both games on gw31....
    Thoughts?

          No other decent captains for GW 31?? You could use Suarez or Sturr, Pool play Sunderland and Cardiff in the double in GW31, can't aslk for much more than that. I think A short and long term.

            no i said decent captain options on gw29 when i would be getting RVP in. I will cap Liv player regardless of whether o have aguero or RVp in GW 31....I just feel like everyone overlooking Gw29 in order to have best possible team for Gw31 so one could gain some serious ground next week if RVP clicks...

                I like the premise, but if more than one person is around at the time, how on earth are you gonna know you are picking first...

                Sure, you'll see post and then reply thinking you are the first, but by the time you calculate 21m worth of players you might just be the 5th pick...

                If someone has picked first but has went over budget, do we freeze his players selected players or are they still open for selection?

                    Sure the timestamps will sort it out after you post, but I was referring to the fact that you wouldn't actually know you were picking first, and thus would only have 21m to spend...

                  Completely agree Zep, it's already hard to keep track of as it is! Maybe I'll just go the easy route where I always pick first but have 1 or 1.5m less than other people? As I said above, I don't want to over complicate it, and from feedback I've received about last weeks draft I think it's going to be a lot more popular from now on, which means more people and more picks to keep track of.

                    That sounds simpler actually. Short of sealed list of 20+ players picked by a draft, the other options are overcomplicated. Simple rules are usually the best.

    Afternoon guys...

    Such was my uncertainty over Eriksen this week, I stayed up to watch him play v Dnipro... 😯

    He played well, scored a great FK goal and got an assist from a good cross (he even got the assist for Soldado's slightly offside goal)... I now believe he will start so of course I can't sell him...

    Now I'm left to decide which transfer(s) to make...

        The only issue I have with C is that it will most likely cost me a hit (possibly 2) in DGW31 to bring Yaya back in...

        I have to decide if I will recoup those points from having Ade and Lallana for the next 3 weeks...

          True. I also think you'll want to get Kos out soon as his fixtures turn sour. I'm thinking of losing him for Chambers next week to get some cash for Yaya's DGW. You'll probably want Aguero for GW31 too which complicates things even more...

                Can do Mata & JRod/Ade > Sterling & Aguero with 2FTs by saving my FT in GW30...

                But then I would need around 1.3-1.5m to afford Lallana > Yaya (-4), so another -4 to make that enabling transfer... equals -8 total...

                  It's hard to squeeze in SAS and Yaya without losing Mata, which is annoying since he has a DGW himself. I guess Hazard is a season keeper now too. A lot of hits are going to be taken in the coming weeks!

    Hi y'all , since my transfers this week will directly affect what team i plan to put out on Gw31 I am asking for opionions of which DGW combo people think is better now:

    A) Evra, Mata , Silva, Aguero

    B) Kompany, Nolan, Yaya, RVP

    Keep in mind B) will allow me to have RVP as a strong captain choice for next week when they are no other clear candidates....Also agueros gametime might be at risk over the dgw ?

    I have 2FT.
    I'm 99% doing Silva to Snodgrass as 1FT, the question is do I save the other or get Ade for Benteke? Obviously CAR (H) looks profitable for Ade but after that he plays Chelsea and Arsenal where I can't see him doing much. If I save the FT, I'll decide on either Lambert or RVP to be Benteke's replacement for GW29.

      I have the exact same issue... and my line of reasoning is this...

      I think Ade will outscore JRod this week and he comes with the added benefit of a (C) option too, BUT I think JRod will outscore him in the next two... which will probably level off scoring wise...

      Factor in how important that extra FT could be with more information, and I'm leaning towards retaining JRod for the next 3 weeks and going without Ade...

      It's tough, Villa have a great fixture this week... and then the blank, but you don't really want do it next week with che, ARS to come...

      I think you should do it, that way one of us will benefit from it, and one will falter... 😕 😉

        After giving it more thought, a plan could be to keep Benteke this week, then transfer him to Lambert whose next 2 fixtures will be (cry, NOR) and then lose Lambert for Aguero for GW31. Thinking of this it makes sense for you to keep JRod too. I'm just scared of not owning Ade this week, a couple of goals and it'll kill my week...

      Im in the exact same kind of position , to me it comes down to are you willing to go for RVP over aguero for GW31? If so then I would say save and do RVP next week as he is the best captaincy contender by a mile next week, whereas if you dont get Ade now, there are other good captaincy contenders this week. Interested in your thoughts on this , as im trying to make the exact same decision! 🙂

        I'd rather have Aguero than RVP in GW31, I think since people will be trying to fit in Yaya, Suarez, Sturridge and RVP/Aguero, as well as keeping Hazard, the extra $$ will come in handy. What a terrible transfer Benteke has been though... Wouldn't surprise me if Norwich get a CS against him this week.
