The Fantasy Flutter with Paddy Power – Gameweek 30

Yet again, we place our faith in the hands of a trio of Scout Picks as we look to get one over Paddy Power. Two of the top three midfielders in the Fantasy Premier League (FPL) game get our backing as does Everton’s fit-again forward as relegation candidates Cardiff roll up to Goodison:

First up, we head to the KC Stadium, where Man City are set for a testing clash against Steve Bruce’s Hull. With Sergio Aguero ruled out through injury once again, Manuel Pellegrini will be relying on Yaya Toure to maintain the form that has already seen him score 13 times in the league this season. The visitors need a win to keep their title bid on track and with Paddy offering 5/1 on the Ivorian to score and City to keep a clean sheet, we’re willing to chuck £3 of this week’s tenner their way.

On to Goodison Park next, where Everton entertain struggling Cardiff City. This time around, Paddy are prepared to offer 6/1 on Romelu Lukaku to score two or more and the Toffees to register a clean sheet. The big Belgian has already notched twice in as many matches since returning from injury and Everton have conceded just once in the last three in front of their own fans. Cardiff may have won 3-1 against Fulham last weekend but let’s not kid ourselves – Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side still look like they need a miracle to survive. This one’s our banker of the week, then, with Paddy taking £4 of our kitty.

Our final £3 goes on Southampton’s home game against Norwich. Paddy are offering 6/1 on Adam Lallana to score and Mauricio Pochettino’s side to keep out the travel-sick Canaries. The Saints skipper has scored five of his seven league goals in front of his own fans and considering Chris Hughton’s side have netted just three times in their last six road trips, we’re more than happy to back this outcome.

Register and Bet £10 And Get £20 Free

If you’re new to Paddy Power, then you can take up any of these odds and get yourself a bonus. You can sign up on this site and get a free £20 when you register an account and bet a tenner.

good Q .____I'm thinking the hair bear is rested and ready to show his worth. The man is a hub to Moy building block of a new era and I see signs that when pitching his stuff on the field the transition is going to suit his personality.on't

ouch! but to be honest I was cheering for RvP at that time to outscore Roo yet RvP was not inspired with his body language. Aguero bit me once on his 2nd return so I had been cautios and swallow the .1 rise so that's a lesson learned as well. Btw...

Aguero is not going to play today and possibly in the next week too. So unless Pellegrini selects Jovetic, there is a chance for Dzeko to share the front line with Negredo.

I own him for fixtures and DGW potential.

      But (C), never again...

Yeah give Eriksen another shot. Hull are unlikely to keep a clean sheet anyway.

I've just tuned in ... Apoglies if this question has been covered lots already.
Aguero is our for this GW ?? If so is the consensus that he will return for the DGW or not ??
Yes I brought him in last week, at least it was for free...

Should I get rid of him or play Ollson / ward or Livermore then deal With it next week ??

    Mannone,Seproni

    Cahill,merts,shaw,Ollson,ward

    Haz,mata,lallana,Snodgrass,Livermore

I literally just picked up Baines instead. So, go Baines. I heart Baines.

That would certainly reflect this season's trend.

Baines gets some love from the committed players, and then Coleman saves the day for the casuals once more.

Gunna do my first -8 of the season next week.

    Lallana > Yaya
    Fonte > Distin
    Mariappa > Chester

    Look ok?

I know many will say that it's not worth getting Chester. But I reckon it's worth it as I'm getting rid of deadwood and Chester has decent fixtures and 2DGWs coming up.

No not really. My mid will be Mata, Yaya, Haz & Sterling

And call me crazy but I'm keeping Mata until the bitter end (barring injury).

Really think he and Utd will start clicking soon. He's such a class player that I can't see him doing nothing from now til the end of the season

I would consider keeping Fonte for this week and then getting Distin next week if price allows.

      Other than that, I approve.

    A) Lukaku, keep Ivanovic for DGW + beyond and afford Kolarov or similar

    OR

    B) Rooney and sell Ivan for cheap DGW defender (Wham) to afford midfielder?

Need to ditch Aguero, tempted to trade in Rooney (c). Goals in his last 2 games, definitely feel he's about to have a bit of a roll.

Hoping that Moyes has seen the error of his team selections by now.

Man Utd team had better be along the lines of:

    ................DDG
    Jones Evans Vida Evra
    .........Afro Carrick.......
    ....Janu Roon Mata....
    ..............RVP.............

That team could definitely beat Pool, as long as we match their early pressing and work rate. That has been a big key to Pools success so far
