The Dugout Discussion – Saturday

Filed under: Dugout Discussion - Posted by: Jonty

A busy Saturday afternoon of Premier League action delivers six kick-offs at three o’clock before we head over to Villa Park for this evening’s encounter, with Chelsea seeking to extend their lead at the top of the table.

Bottom placed Fulham will be hoping for a vital three points to drag them out of the relegation mire when Newcastle pay visit, while fellow strugglers Cardiff face a testing trip to Goodison Park, with the Toffees looking to push on into the top six.

Up in the North East, two of the Premier League’s meanest defences – Sunderland and Crystal Palace – square up at the Stadium of Light, while Pepe Mel looks to ease the pressure on his tenure in the Midlands by claiming the points from West Brom’s trip to the Liberty Stadium to face Swansea. Norwich are another side scrapping to keep themselves out of the bottom three; they face a daunting test today at St Mary’s, while West Ham will look to cement their mid-table status by claiming the points at the Britannia against Mark Hughes’ Stoke.

As always, you can look to our Twitter feed for news of today’s teamsheets, while our Dugout Discussion chatroom is now open and will accompany you through today’s matches right through until the whistle at this evening’s Villa Park fixture.

  1. Average will be very distorted, dead teams don't make early transfers and take hit fails trying to correct it ;)

    2. yeah, lots of dead teams with Fulham defense, Delph, Odemwingie, Sess, etc..

  2. Manone and vlaar sitting on my bench kicking the shit out of captain hindsight.

    Still, 27 no hits with Rvp (c) and Suarez to come should be green no?

      1. I suppose Sp*rs always turn the heat on when they play us

        1. One game at a time, anything is possible... I think Liverpool will be massive if they win tomorrow

  8. Looking forward to hearing from Mourinho.

    I think I felt he was a bit condescending toward Lambert last time 'round and I hope he shows us a little more respect this time.

    1. just watched the interview after on cnbc. wow! never seen him that angry before

    2. He is condescending most of the time in the spurs match he went down the tunnel 30 seconds before the end and shook Sherwood's hand before the end of the game..

      1. He does that a lot of the time

        1. It is still very patronizing and he should just wait till the end of the match and be respectful to other managers and teams

  9. Sterling, Rooney, Suarez to go only 24points in the bag, 8 point hit = very weak sauce

    how you guys doin?

  10. Is this midfield OK for the DGW?
    Yaya, Silva, Gerrard, Hazard (Noone)

  11. Azpi & JRod -> Baines & Dzeko

    Ivan & JRod -> Baines & Lukaku???

    1. B

      purely because of Gametime probabilities

  12. Gonna do snod and lallana to silva and yaya for -4 worth it will give me 9 dgwers
