The ScoutCast – Episode 128 – Robotic

Is there really room for emotion and sentiment in Fantasy Football management? This week’s episode questions whether the detached, cold and almost robotic approach is the way to go. Of course, Granville and I already know the answer, leaving us to curse our sensitive sides. Ironically, this realisation comes after a weekend when, not for the first time, Aleks Kolarov almost reduced me to tears.

The pair of us manage to restore a stiff upper lip long enough to rinse through further double Gameweek debate, chew the fat over the belated Luis Suarez assist and take on another selection of posers from you, the listener. There’s “all aboard” the weekend preview and the latest in my battle with the ScoutCast XI. It’s beating me again. Without a player from the top four. Is it any wonder I’m an emotional wreck?

Afternoon folks... anyone here playing FMLS?

After a frustrating first week in which I missed the deadline for manager subs and got caught with Rosales' 12 points on my bench and a non-playing Magee in the team, I think I'm starting to get the feel for the increased squad sizes...

Once the TV begins to rise and we can afford more players, I think the 3 extra slots will be very helpful to rotation planning, fixture orientated individuals like myself...

  I think he will be. He will likely finish out the season as soon as he is back (which should be around after the next two games?). I think he's done this before. Somewhat injury-prone in general, but seems a good bet to have it for the run in.

mcgregor or adrian for this week n future to rotate with boruc

i dont particularly like mannone fixs so avoiding him.

factors im considering;
.
i already have chester so mcgregor is doubling up

hull have an extra dbl n during their blank boruc has cardiff(H)

i think mcgregor rotates better overall

think hammers are a better defensive team

adrian will prob get more save points

anything im missing and whats your opinions mcgregor/adrian??

  Having looked at the ticker, I think McGregor is the better bet to rotate with Boruc...
  
  I don't mind the double up all that much, it's not ideal but they will both be brilliant value for the homes games you will play them in...

  im leaning boruc to mannone for a hit , mainly cause of mannone's 3 dgws to hull's 2. Also I think by gw 37 hull will be well safe and less motivated but sunderland will still be fighting for their lives.

It's quite quiet and I have nothing better to do right now...

So, I have revised my targets for this season after what has been a pretty disappointing season...

After a couple of good GWs last month that saw me rise in rank quite a bit, I have stagnated for the last few weeks and now linger around 85k...

I am 82pts behind 10k, and I think that is just slightly out of my reach but you never know with the DGWs to come...

I think the 60pts from 20k is doable but also a challenge considering how hard it is to gain ground on those above me...

But 20k it is... wish me luck...

      Chelsea have a great run of fixtures coming up, so it's hard to advise against having a Chelsea defender. Bardsley is quite tempting though. I really like the fixtures this gameweek for Liverpool and have a sneaky suspicion that Skrtel will bang in some points. Irked I couldn't pick him up, as I already have Gerrard, Sturridge, and Suarez.

        I kind of fancy Skrtel against Tottenham too the following gameweek, and then they have West Ham away after that followed by Man City and then Norwich. He could score in any one of those games and what not.
