FFS Paddy Power Cup IX and Members Cup IV – Fourth Round Draws

After an elongated Gameweek 31 finally came to its conclusion last night, we now roll out the draw for the Fourth Round of the Fantasy Football Scout Cup IX and Members Cup IV, as sponsored by Paddy Power. In the former competition, reigning champion Tdubb05 crashed out – despite registering 152 points over last week’s 15 fixtures, he was beaten by Chewy’s impressive 171 point haul:

Jonty and donnellyc were also amongst the former champions to take a tumble, leaving MCH as the only previous winner still in with a shout of the silverware – having seen off Gruffyboy last time around, he now squares up to ManofKent. Other notable community match-ups include Triggerlips v Michu Picchu and Woy of the wovers v Attila the Bum.

Special mentions go to ChamakhThat – the highest scoring manager in the previous round with 177 points – and Intransigent, who is the highest ranked manager remaining in the competition; he sits in 125th in the overall Fantasy Premier League (FPL) rankings.

A full list of last week’s results is here, and the draw for the Fourth Round, which kicks off this Saturday and lasts right through to Monday evening, when Sunderland take on West Ham at the Stadium of Light, can be found here.

In the FFS Members Cup IV, there are a number of eye-catching draws for Gameweek 32. These included In Like Flynn v Jamez8, In Tommy We Trust v meerlight, JohnTerrysDog2 v Anonymous and Stumanchuu v Arthur Gomez.

Once again, ChamakhThat’s 177 point haul was the highest score of the round. Stumanchu is the top-ranked manager left in the Member Cup hat, sitting in 485th spot overall.

You can click here to check out the Fourth Round draw, which gets underway this weekend, whilst the full list of Third Round results can be found here.

As always, good luck to all those still in with a shout of the silverware.

Think I'm gonna be boring and stick with Suarez. Mannone could be a very risky but rewarding option

You'd captain Mannone at home to West Ham?

I know he always brings in save points, but realistically you're looking at a maximum of 11 points if he gets 2 save points and 3 bonus in a 0-0, and thats unlikely.
Suarez? Sky's the limit. Could pull out 12+ fairly easily with a goal and assist. Or blank

Suarez all day for me. The Spurs centre backs are suspect and they've been taught to play so many styles, I think they're all just a bit confused. The direct running and speed of the counter attacking Liverpool players will be too much, and I can see Sterling playing actually and causing all sorts of problems.

Coleman - Cahill - Ward (Olsson) (Williamson)

    Suarez - Lukaku - Sturridge

      2-3 Everton, 3 City, 1-2 Sunderland, 1-2 Cpl.

      I'm thinking:

      Lukaku, Coleman
Kompany, Silva, Yaya (gonna steer clear of Aguero unless he plays amazingly in the next 2)
      Mannone, Johnson
      Ward, Puncheon

      WCers are going for 9+

For the rest of us mere mortals its whatever you can manage after the carnage of this week.
5 or 6 from City and Everton between them recommended I reckon.
Plus whatever Sunderland and Palace players you have. I wouldn't be going out of your way to bring them in, but if you have them already then play them.
I've got Mannone, Dann, Puncheon, plus Coleman and Yaya so far.

Just going to use my transfers on Everton and City

Ah, the curse of last post on the page.

Things are getting very tight in my ML, 10 points separating me from 2nd and 3rd.
Any ways to improve this team?

    Boruc (Davis)
    Chester, Azpi, Bassong, Sagna, Flanagan
    Yaya, Lallana, Hazard, Nasri, Johnson
    Sturridge, Lukaku, Suarez

Probably need to get Boruc out, might wait till after Newcastle, apart from him and possibly AJ, anyone else to shift out?

Evening all. I have sneaked up to just under 5,500th place, which is promising. This is my team, and I'm a bit stuck as to what to do this week:

    Mannone (Marshall)
    Zabaleta Cahill Coleman (Smalling Ward)
    Hazard Yaya Silva Sterling (Puncheon)
    Suarez Sturridge Lukaku

I'm 45 pts clear in ML - main rival has rooney so:

    A) Sturridge > Rooney (to cover rival)
    B) Sterling > Barkley (Sterling uncertain to start)
    C) Smalling > Azpi (Smalling injured)
    D) Save Or anything else??

Would be uber grateful for any thoughts please. A would make me feel most at ease (and ML is my big priority as I wont win FPL!!)

I want to get rid of Nolan asap, but this week, not many players stand out. I can't go for Lallana since I don't have the budget, I'm leaning Eriksen, but they have Liverpool at Anfield so it could wait a week.

Think I might be stuck with him for one more week.
