While Paddy Power get distracted by the gee-gees at Aintree, we turn to the Scout Picks for inspiration once again in another bid to beat them at their own game. The late news on Wayne Rooney’s injury has left us one down in the market stakes but there’s still a couple of in-form budget-friendly midfielders that catch our eye…

We start by crossing the border to Wales, where Cardiff are set to entertain fellow-strugglers Crystal Palace. This time around, Paddy are prepared to offer 10/1 on Jordan Mutch to score and the Bluebirds to register a clean sheet. The in-form midfielder has netted three times in the last two, whilst Tony Pulis’ side have scored just one goal in their last six road trips – with this in mind, Paddy gets £4 of our kitty.

Our final £6 goes on this afternoon’s showdown at Carrow Road, where Norwich take on West Brom in a proverbial six-pointer. Paddy are offering 11/1 on Robert Snodgrass to score and the Canaries to keep out their midlands opponents. Bearing in mind that Snodgrass has scored in two of his last three home fixtures and Chris Hughton’s side have conceded a single strike in the last six in front of their own supporters, this is our bet of the week.

  1. Chance of Ramsey starting against Everton?

    1. slim .. bench

    2. Slim to none.
      Cameo

    3. OK so will wait next week to get him

  2. Pick one :

    Burner
    Ward
    Chester

  3. Would you ditch Sterling for Mutch or lose a FT?

    1. Do it. Never sure if he'll play and money will be handy next week

      1. Cheers mate, I think I just will!

  4. Guys I've not posted my teams for a while but just struggling to work out what's best for this week?

    Mannone
    Zab ward Ivan Coleman
    Snod lallana haz yaya
    Suarez(c) Sturridge

    Boruc lukaku rosenior Barkley

Toying with ward-luk and 4-3-3 but I'd be interested in any opinions please

    1. bench Ward and start Lukaku

      1. That's what I'm thinking mate

      2. Other thought is that I'm not sure lallana will have much joy against city. So could go lallana to luk (433) or ward to luk (343)

  5. Hazard > Silva done.

You will all know the reason if I'm absent on here tonight

    1. If it works it will be a stroke of genius ;-)

      1. One can dream 8-)

If it works, I will most certainly be posting like a maniac tonight. You have been warned.

    2. I think it might be a good move over the remainder of the season. I hope not though

      1. Same...

    3. I'll be on here to congratulate you if it works out

  6. Who to captain? Hazard, studge, suarez or yaya???

    1. Suarez

  7. £5.2m in the bank

  8. i dont like sunderlands wk 34 fixtures anyway, I dunno why I was holding onto Johnson for so long. Johnson to erikson done and 2FT for next week

  9. UKG

    Play Mutch over Nolan?

  10. AJG

Anyone putting a punt on Michu?

    1. maybe, but it is very unappealing if you haven´t got him this week. My eye is on De Guzmán playing the right wing now. I think Chelsea are in for a bad run, They will be prime for chelsea, so I say a good punt...against individual form and fixture.

      1. AJG

Im finding for differential for my midfield, stuck between michu, eriksen & Adam johnson, to name a few. Any suggestions?

        1. DeGuzman, Osman (aka benjamin button)...after this week of course. And Holtby and or Delph, as funny as that may sound.

          1. AJG

Interesting, but Holtby did play well last week, so that's a good punt!

  11. Gerrard to Eriksen, why are people doing this?

    1. 9 yellows - free up money - Eriksen's fixtures for starters

      1. Gerrards PPG is king though :)

        1. fixtures, taking a more sitting role being the glue guy don´t put green arrows on the board. Tough fixtures mean less visits to the penalty spot, as well as prime free kick placement.

      2. Mannone (Adrian)
        Baines Coleman Chester (Ward Bardsley)
        Hazzy YYT Gerrard Silva (Ki)
        Dzeko Studge Suarez

        Got 2 FT £0 ITB.

Thinking of Adrian to Harper, and then using 2 FTs next week for Gerrard to Mutch and Dzeko to Kun. A wise move iyo?!

Are you getting Kun for the DGW SPIKE? Thanks :)

    2. Gerrard fixtures are toughening.
Is a booking away from a two match ban and so we could see him being brought off early
Eriksson has a very nice run in and most likely all points play will go through him.

I'm holding Stevie for now but not much longer i think

    3. In the hope Eriksen matches his last home game points haul. And Gerrard blanks. Not rocket science.

    4. Save a bit of cash and a lot of people have Studge and Suarez.

I'm gonna ship next week. Just hoping he can sign off with a pen.

      1. I'm shipping next week to to finance Dzeko to Aguero :)

        1. form and health be damned huh?

    5. Because Gerrard seems to get most of his points from penalties. Maybe people think that referees may stop awarding Pool multiple penalties. Eriksen has not performed as his ability suggests he can do, and Spurs fixtures are good for the run in.

  12. bench AJ or Llallana.

I just don't see southampton getting a look in today else this normally wouldn't be a question

  13. Start

    (A) Mutch
    (B) Gerrard

    1. I like Mutch to get more points this week

      1. this.

A shootout I´m thinking. I even put fivers on both as anytime goal scorers today.

People tend to neglect the fantasy gold in 16 v 18 match-ups of desperation seem to lead to semi-cracking offensive outputs.

        1. both mutch and caulker as anytime goalscorers *

  14. snoddy or mutch?

  15. New Post - Preamble
  16. How come that RonH bear is trying to cause divide between the ffs community?

  17. who should i start, lallana or olsson

  18. So before GW33 kicks off, who were your all time favourite players. Not necessarily the players you think are the greatest of all time - just the ones you loved to watch as a kid, your heroes.

    Here is mine:

    ----------------- Chillavert -----------------

    ---- Mellberg - Laursen - McGrath ----
    Thuram ---------------------------- Maldini

    ------------------ Davids --------------------
    -- Del Piero -- Baggio -- Ronaldinho --

    --------------- Fat Ronaldo ----------------

Subs: Buffon, (Tony) Daley, Zidane, Laudrup, Pirlo, Cannavaro

Obviously influenced by my affinity for Juve, Villa and Barca growing up

    1. Nice team!

      Oliver Kahn

      Lahm Stam Maldini R. Carlos

      Beckham Keane Giggs

      Owen Ronaldo Batistuta

  19. Boruc And Raheem ----> Hart and Noone for free?

    Yes or No?

  20. AJG

Rooney + Sissoko => Lukaku + Nasri or Ade + Silva, thoughts?

  21. Sturridge to outscore Suarez this week, you heard it here first!

    1. we here it here first most weeks by someone but it hardly ever happens and they dont come back the following week. ;-)

      1. Aha well I only made this prediction once before and pulled it off, time for round two I think!

      2. I captained stur every week he outscored Suarez but now don't own him at all so I hope not lol

      3. Buggu used to be renowned for that sort of thing. Made lots of predictions in the dead zone, then only reported back on the ones that came off.

  22. Hi guys

    My team is
    Marshall
    Azpi evra lol (Chester ward)
    Mutch yyt Gerrard Johnson
    Dzeko lukaku Suarez

    5.4 in bank
Should I swap Gerrard or aj to haz or someone else for a hit or leave it?

    Cheers all gl!

  23. Good moves??

Yoshida to Zab (would bench Merte)
    Mata to Eriksen

    All for free......

Fixture Ticker

“My team this year has been the Fantasy Premier League equivalent of a Morecambe & Wise sketch. I've played all the right players . . . but not necessarily in the right order.”
