FFS Paddy Power Cup IX and Members Cup IV – Seventh Round Draws

After last night’s matches at Goodison and the Etihad brought the curtain down on the Gameweek, we roll out the draw for the Seventh Round of the Fantasy Football Scout Cup IX and Members Cup IV, as sponsored by Paddy Power, this evening:

In the former competition, some of the key clashes from the community include Shipstontrev vs Attila the Bum, Denial vs Woeisme, 1nozza v Triggerlips and manehi v Tractor Boys, who knocked out our last remaining previous winner, MCH,in Gameweek 33.

Woeisme heads into the final 16 having racked up 88 points in Gameweek 34, making him the highest scoring manager to progress, whilst Shipsontrev is the highest ranked manager left in the hat, sitting in 803rd spot in the overall Fantasy Premier League (FPL) standings.

A full list of last week’s results is here, and the draw for the Seventh Round, which kicks off this Saturday afternoon and lasts right through to Monday evening, when City host West Brom at the Etihad, can be found here.

In the FFS Members Cup IV, we’re now down to the last eight managers. Spencer – the highest ranked remaining manager in 623rd spot overall – takes on Summits gotta give, who is the rank outsider, with an overall position of 316,709. The other three match-ups are In Tommy We Trust v Shipstontrev, arastrick v Trigg and sandgrounder v Arthur Gomez.

You can click here to check out the Seventh Round draw, which gets underway this weekend, whilst the full list of Sixth Round results can be found here.

As always, good luck to all those still in with a shout of the silverware.

Is it the time of the year to start picking players who will get a "run out" from the safe teams with nothing to play for?

no highly owned players like yaya, hazard, sturridge, rooney or rvp means the template is changing - picking the right low ownership ones will be crucial

I saw Aceyalone open for KRS in California awhile back (think this was 2000 or so).
Great gig (and I wasn't familiar with Ace at the time). When I got to the show, I saw how he had a big underground following then.

          KRS is my hero.

Yeah. Around 2000, 2001 is when I got introduced to Ace. Was out in L.A., and some friends from the city turned me onto him. He was more of an underground hero then for sure. As for KRS ONE, not sure what to say other than he is a legend in the game. Some good stuff on his recent album (though not sure I like the one song The Invaders all that much). I don't do hip hop much these days, but I can still appreciate what's good and what's not. And, I'll always have a place in my soul for a good beat, etc.

By the way, Talib's early albums are the best, working with DJ Hi-Tek, Mos Def and then Kanye West (Album: Quality). Common has been awesome, his earlier stuff might not be easy for you if you're new to it so start with Be (Kanye heavily involved).

REKS is just hard. Incredible rapper, check 25th hour (produced by DJ Premier).

And Elzhi's Elmatic is a re-make of Illmatic (Nas debut) using a live band. Classic.

"If skills sold, truth be told,
I probably be, lyrically Talib Kweli,
truthfully I wanna rhyme like Common Sense
By did 5 Mil, I aint been rhyming like Common since"

my FPL dream is that Rooney is fit with RVP ruled out.

Mata + Rooney would be a steal then!

agreed, but all 3 and only 1 of RvP or Rooney is worth it

Jk, very move you make has to have one eye on the double. The last week will be a shiftiest.

Must have at least one Arse, and one Spurs now.

          Also, keep Puncheon.

I am looking very hard at Sunderland.

    How do these moves sound?

    This week

Yaya and Gnabry to Erikson and Gerrard

    Next week

Lukaku and Coleman to Rooney and Smalling

    Both for hits

    Hey guys,

    my current team:
    Mannone Boruc
    Coleman Ward Azpi Collins Bruce
    Eriksen Gerrard Lallana Silva Amalf
    Suarez Lukaku Aguero

    1.6 ITB , 1 FT and wildcard

Getting in mind the wildcard which playes would you bring in and when? Before GW 37?
im thinking about Mata and some defenders
and get rid ot boruc, ward, collins, bruce, lallana, lukaku?

Problem is money is tight and Yaya + Sturridge look like dropping tonight, while Kun is rising. Sterling is a steal now when pretty certain to start imo.

Can't afford Mata, but Sterling would give me funds for Luk -> Rooney, who I want more than Mata. Thanks, I will!

Either would be for a -4:

    AJ>Ramsey (5th mid is Noone)
    Coleman or Baines>Kos

    Thanks in advance.

Not sure Ramsey is worth a hit tbh, AJ has an extra game as well. Tough call.

          Can you afford Nasri?

Just short of Nasri. Already went Yaya to Gerrard. Maybe I should hang tight with that for the week. Cheers. Thanks for the help. I'm going to renew my AJ faith.

I would keep AJ with that DGW. Don't think the other is worth a hit either.

I keep thinking AJ will come good, and after Chelsea he finally has the fixtures.

I think Ramsey is about to rock it, too, though.

And thanks for the defense advice, I'll slowly transfer them out. Will have to play both Everton this week, but at least they both have attacking ability.
