Stick with wickham or go with sturridge? Other two are suarez and kun/dzeko

Guys, I could use a little of your help please!

I'm 11 points behind my mini league leader, and I NEED to win! He's got the stronger team for the weekend, with the likes of; Sturridge, Suarez and Gerrard, whilst I have no Liverpool players.

Do you think I should take a few punts and captain one of them or what?

I was tempted by Lukaku. Just because Hull will be focusing on the final. But it's Lukaku! He's meant to be on my 'never own again' list.

I've said that before and have owned him around 5 times this season... (Chelsea and Everton) It would be a huge differential and yes Hull wont play their full strength team and won't be as focussed. But the question is would you rather get Lukaku than Dzeko?

Why does Newcastle have to have the worst defensive record over the past six weeks, when I have no Liverpool players, and the ones who I'd get my rival had, so it'd be pointless in me having!

I really wish there was a few more weeks left!

For the gameweek before the double and for the double I got rid of Hazard, Sturridge and Suarez for Ramsey, Rooney and Aguero!

I got 87 points for the DGW, I was ranked 117th before today, now I'm 306th. And I had Yaya.

      How does that work out?!

And I'm gutted because I kept Rooney in thinking he'd play against Hull. And end up taking out Zabaleta for someone!

Myself and many others had many City players. I had Hart, Kolarov, Yaya and Dzeko so I got 42 points from that game alone. Quite a few would've had Dzeko(c) too.

        You benched Zaba? Ouch!

I took out Huddlestone, Jelavic and Zabaleta for Terry, Azpilicueta and Ramsey.

And then I took Azpilicueta and Ramsey back out for Gerrard and Sterling.

I thought Rooney would make it against Hull and outscore Zabaleta against Villa and 1 point.

Ya he has been a differential the past few weeks. Managed to save my season by moving up the ML from 7th to 2nd. 1st is too way for me, but it's more than enough. I'm afraid he might run riot against Swansea, but is his game time secure? The lack of training might hurt as shown in the prev 2 games.

GD is out of reach now..so they will be hoping that West Ham beats City..and they will concentrate on winning not by a high margin..even a 1-0 will do...and this week their defense will try and get a CS...so expect a boring match..

      Can work both ways.

      (i) The SSS will end up firing against a team that has the worst defensive record in the last six gameweeks
      OR
(ii) They'll be down on confidence after what happened against Palace, and end up winning marginally like a 1-0 or 2-1

Cahill has better chances of starting than Azpi (both Chelsea and Chelsea may get a CS)...Vidic and Fonte play against each other I personally think both you you won't be getting a CS on that..Demi should get a CS whereas Ward should too..AJ is the weak point in your team..and both Ramsey and Mata are in doubts in his team to start...Main competition would be Nasri Vs Yaya

you'll be giving away your 8 points with this hit..looks good..but Mutch --> Sterling for -4 is a tricky decision...if you only do -4 and he does -8 you will have a 12 points lead..if you do -8 and he does -4 you will have a 4 point lead..depends on how much lead you want..

Similar position for me (altho not quite as far ahead!)

I'm worried about Sterling and Gerrard this week (he has both), so will try and cover that somehow...maybe get Sturridge instead of one as need to lose a striker.

          I'm stuck too!

That makes sense. Liverpool might win by a few and City could get nervous. If only Aguero was fit it would make my life a lot easier. I am tempted by Aguero and Mutch -> Dzeko\Sturridge and Sterling.

As an owner I hope so. He is a risky option but if you are chasing really you need a differential risky option. You could go for an Adebayor as a safer option but he hasn't really been firing lately.

My bet is on Remy, although I am a Pool fan.

Expect Liverpool try too hard to win this match, and leaves holes at the back for Remy to score a hat-trick. No matter at home or away, Liverpool conceded 2 to 3 goals in previous 4 matches. They also concede +2 goals Vs Norwich, Cardiff and Fulham. Newcastle posts better attacking quality than those 3 teams, and Remy is a far better striker than any from those 3 teams. Newcastle may have nothing to play for, but Remy has! Remy will take his last chance to showcast his ability, hoping for a big team coming for him, so he would have enough desire to play and score. And, if Newcastle scores, it will definitely be Remy, while the goals from Liverpool are more spread-out among SSS.

Hopefully Pool will come back from 0:3 to win 4:3 by the end, while MC concede a few goals to Andy Carroll. Fingers-cross......

Rank gone from 680 to 1559..

I have Mata, Cazorla, Rooney, Aguero...all look like doubts to start...
I don't expect Rooney to start becuase of his world cup chances he and Giggs both won't risk it.
Aguero I think if will come will come for like 20mins..
    Mata may start
Cazorla will rested for the FA Final..

Thinking Rooney and Aguero --> Lukaku and Odemwingie...both differentials need to finish inside 1K..
or Rooney and Noone --> Lukaku and Willian again Differentials..

Similar drop here just about doubling my rank, was 7k now 13k 🙁 . Sometimes there isn't a lot you can do about it (selection issues, injuries etc).

I'm waiting to hear if Rooney and Aguero are both out, in which case I might get Dzeko + RVP. Best to wait on news though.

Sturridge has a higher ownership than Dzeko but I suspect a lot of those will be dead teams. Still I don't think there is much of a difference between the two regarding ownership levels.

I think your opponent will this week just use his FT and do Rooney to Sturridge...You might need to take a hit..his team looks good...I think you might need to get differential only...because if you get the same players he has for a hit..you would lose in the end..Get Lukaku as a differential..and Mata to someone else..and hope AJ scores!

actually I was thinking about AJ/Mata, Kun and Rooney to Hazard/Sterling, Dzeko, Sturridge for -8, but those 8 pts gives him an advantage at the beginning of the GW.

I think I surely need to go for Dzeko if Aguero ruled out. I just can't go without him again.

          (C) may be crucial here as well...

Though if both Roo and Aguero are out, I surely need to replace both, even if hit is required. Do you think Lukaku / Adebayor will outscore Dzeko ?

Against West Ham will be a tight game..Dzeko may not score at all...I just think getting the same player doesn't make sense...Captain differential is surely needed...and I think Lukaku will outscore Dzeko...I will get in Dzeko in my team after the pressers if both are confirmed out..

Yaya has been a solid pick for years but this season he has added free kicks and penalties to his armoury. I don't see any trend where he has dropped off every second season.

I think the change of manager has helped too. Mancini wouldn't let him go forward until the last half-hour when the score was still 0-0 and City needed a goal. Now he is encouraged to bomb forward when City attack in most matches, leaving Fernandinho to take care of the defensive duties.

Probably wise to see how he gets on early doors, although the same can be said about a lot of players. If City have solid early fixtures then he'd probably be worth getting from GW1 especially if there is no reason why he can't do just as well as this season.

Yeah maybe fixtures could swing it for everyone to be tempted to squeeze him early on.
Though if planned right ignoring yaya on GW1 and monitor him and he starts to get his groove, try to bring him on for a hit could work out as well.

True but you've got to admit he was a bit lucky this year with that. Aguero goes off, bang penalty for Yaya. Not trying to sound bitter, but it's not very likely it'll happen to the same extent next year.

Why not? if Aguero continues to be dragged off in the second half (and his history suggests he will) then Yaya will be the penalty taker for the last 20mins of every match. Then there is the inevitable Aguero injuries.

True I just think there's been an unusually large amount of penos in the final third for them this year and Aguero was out for so long this year, I just dont expect it to happen so frequently next year. Cue Yaya hat-trick GW1 😆

If there are fewer penalties next season, it will be probably because the referees have been given different guidelines over when to award penalties and red cards and when to penalise diving.

There have been some encouraging cases recently of refs allowing play to go after a player has been fouled but not gone down, and then awarding a penalty if a goal does not result. If this continues then it might encourage more players to try and stay on their feet after being fouled instead of feeling that they won't get a penalty after being fouled if they don't fall over.

I think he might just be worth it, I mean if one player cost 12m a 220+ season is about on par I reckon

      (Par for me is points/20=price)

      220 points / 2 = 11m

But his injury record and captain potensial is boosting his appeal I think, and building your opening team around the likes of Suarez and Yaya until you find your feet a few gameweeks out, could be a good strategy.

The stats also suggests Yayas threat from open play has improved during the second part of the season, which could bode well for next season.

BLINDED BY THE DGW LIGHTS (Or - my disastrous GW)

Player out/Points obtained by player out/Player in/Pts Obtained by Player in/Penalty for non FT

    1) Barkley / 9/ Amalfitano / 2 / 0 FT
    2) Suarez / 5 / Rooney/ 0/ -4 (Luckily Shaw came in off the bench to give me 6)
    3) Lukaku / 5/ Wickham/ 7 /-4
    4) Mannone / 13/ DDGea / 4 /-4
    5)Smalling / 2 / Alonso / 17 /-4

I would have got 14 more points If I had not done any transfers this week. Unlucky with Aguero (c) and Rooney, however I went a bit crazy and paid the price.
