Granville’s lackadaisical approach to the new campaign might just explain why he’s treading water. Missing deadlines and price rises, my ScoutCast co-host badly needs to introduce some organisation into his season if he’s to keep pace – the man needs a PA – get your applications in.

With Granville floundering, I’ve decided to lay down my Wildcard to potential rub further salt into his wounds. Is it a chronic case of “jerky knee”? Granville certainly thinks (hopes) so.

We chat over my Wildcard revolution, analyse how the heavy-hitting midfielders are failing to pull their weight and rinse through the usual regulars in the same disorganised fashion.

      they've about the same chances to keep CS, but Clyne more threat.

        No other sto or sot defenders. Logically I think stoke are more likely to keep a clean sheet, but I can't bare to bench anymore of Clyne's points 🙂

      Might be OK this week :). Be aware that though that Ulloa has huge potential for regression overall, scoring with almost 50% of his shots - not sustainable long term.

        Im not sure it matters. Compare with others at the 5m price point, its certainly possible he could outscore the lot.

        He's scored with minimal minutes. Defienitely not guaranteed gametime, but with him scoring goals so consistently he doesn't need starts.

        His stats are amazing considering Time Played.

          I think you've got on this quite early Arvin and I'm pretty much sold. Listening to the Scoutcast earlier, both Mark and Granville were saying the same. A lot of City supporters are crying out for Lampard to be starting due to a perceived lack of drive. I think a lot of vitriol is being aimed at Toure. He's seemed indifferent for a while now. A clear mercenary.

    I'm losing Heaton, not sure who to bring in to replace him. 5.4 to spend, my defenders are Clyne, Wilson, JEvans, Naylor and Hutton.

    Is Mane a viable alternative to Tadic?

    For only 0.6m more you get a more central and advanced player, more likely to get 90 mins and is on all set pieces including pens.

    Reason I ask is I have just enough for Aguero & Mane, but Im not convinced.

    A) Mane & Aguero (0.3m cash left)

    B) Tadic & Welbeck (4.7m cash left [Hutton -> Baines next week]

      The only doubt for me would be whether to start Wilson or Dummett.
      The reasons behind considering Dummett is that Swans been bad on the attack recently (only Burnley have worse stats then them) and that New need a result so they will be very motivated to get something out of this fixture.
      But I still believe Wilson is marginally a better option.

    Arsene Wenger has updated the press on the team news ahead of Sunday’s game against Stamford Bridge and the news is there really isn’t any news.

    Everyone available for Wednesday’s Champions League win over Galatasaray is fit, although there’s an outside chance Nacho Monreal might be back to provide some defensive depth and experience.

    Biggest mistake I made last season was using my January wildcard. Before using it my team was in top 4k.
    Had Ramsey Yaya Howard Goalman . All the players who were doing well and that wildcard messed with my head. I felt like had to use it. Not gona make the same mistake this year.
    My team is doing well and I won't rush into making unnecessary transfers just cause a got a wildcard.

    Alright chaps, been a regular reader on the site this season and I'd like some thoughts on my team please. Currently sitting on 352 points. Team value is 101.8M with 0.5M ITB:

    DDD (Gilks)
    Clyne/Williams/Bardsley (Duff/Chambers)
    Siggy/ADM/Sterling/Gerrard (Al Ahmadi)
    Costa/Aguero/Ulloa

    Took Ramsey out as soon as he got injured and banged in Gerrard for the next few weeks. Replaced Felipe Luis for Williams, only this week, so lost out .5M keeping him for so long, grrr.

    Who would you recommend I replace DDG with after the international break? Got .5M ITB
