The ScoutCast – Episode 139 – Essential

Don’t get us wrong – we’re not labelling this latest droning session as “essential” listening. However, there’s no getting away from the fact that the concept of essential players has dominated the airwaves at Scout towers over the past week.

In this latest episode, Granville and I take on this meaty subject, whilst chewing over the importance of ownership and spit out the semblance of an opinion on both. Around that main course, we take on the usual bevvy of regulars with the usual haphazard panache.

Essential? Not quite, not even on a rainy Thursday night.

Grab this crucial slice of audio via this link or explore this necessary noise via the player below…

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Ivanovic, Shawcross and Ulloa to Aguero, Chambers and upto a 4.8m defender for a -4 worth it?

Will be doing this tomorrow btw. Who would you buy as the last defender? I'm thinking of getting Hutton and saving some money. Got Moreno, Clyne and Moore as my others.

why would you want to get rid of Ivan?

I'm not as crazy about him as most people. Allows me to bring in Aguero. Also allows me to upgrade Moreno to Azpi the next week so I don't really lose the Chelsea defense.

Understand your point, but ivanovic will outscore azpi longer term as well. Why not look into your midfield?
One chelse def for another one is a waste too be honest

Fair enough. I generally end up overvaluing my midfield/strikers - which results in this haha. Thanks for your help!

    Tomkins at home (Burnley) or
    Milner at home (spurs)

    Who to bench?

      Argh. That's a tough one.

With City's commitments, I can see Milner getting the full 90, and he could easily contribute.

      I'd bench Tomkins.

Tempted...although I heard that the staff at Man Utd thought he was only operating at about 70% at the moment so are still managing his fitness.

No, because there's only 3 striker spots and di Maria is sufficient ManU cover.

Mid line for tomorrow... Which one?

    Mane--FAB--Sterling----ADM

    Siggy--FAB---Sterling--ADM

I think Mane has a big game in him tomorrow got in some great positions V Spurs last week.. He seems more tempting than Siggy tbh..

Then that's your change right there. Though if Siggy does well, you'll drop in ranking quick.

Not too bad, but I suspect you will miss on 4 matches:

Everton - AV: To some surprise Everton will manage to keep a CS today. 2-0

QPR-Pool: QPR will surprisingly hold pool to an draw. Do not underrate QPR at home. QPR will score and Pool will only score 1. Stur is not fully back and Sterling is tired. 1-1

Swansea will surprisingly loose to stoke: 2-1.

WBA-ManUnited: WBA are more likely to only score one: 1-3.

Siggy or Tadic on the bench tomorrow?

I'm doing quite poorly at the moment so a Siggy blank and a Tadic brace could see me fly up the rankings quite fast if I bench Siggy

...I think I have already decided I will bench Siggy

no need to post this comment then!

Sterling > Tadic too obvious? I think Sterling is excellent, but LIV looks like a slo-mo train wreck.

I'm thinking about the same to fund Aguero. Isn't it silly though when Liverpool's two next are HUL and new?

though they dont seem to have a cutting edge without Stuge and Chipmonk. Sterling seems better when he has people to take some of the defensive pressure off him and give him a bit more space

Will Aaron Ramsey start next week?

    If so

    Kompany and Ramsey in??

    Or other suggestions?????

My current midfield is ___ sterling siggy and di Maria
