Gareth Bale (Wales), Karim Benzema (France), Diego Costa (Spain), Thibaut Courtois (Belgium), Cristiano Ronaldo (Portugal), Angel Di Maria (Argentina), Mario Gotze (Germany), Eden Hazard (Belgium), Zlatan Ibrahimovic (Sweden), Andres Iniesta (Spain), Toni Kroos (Germany), Philipp Lahm (Germany), Javier Mascherano (Argentina), Lionel Messi (Argentina), Thomas Muller (Germany), Manuel Neuer (Germany), Neymar (Brazil), Paul Pogba (France), Sergio Ramos (Spain), Arjen Robben (Netherlands), James Rodriguez (Colombia), Bastian Schweinsteiger (Germany), Yaya Toure (Ivory Coast).

:Mascherano and Götze in that list, and Suarez, Modric and Sanchéz don't even make it?

    Bullshit.

I know this might be predictable coming from me...but Robben had a great wc. Agree with the others you mention tho.

yeah he did, but netherlands also failed to score in the semis and quarters too so i don't it was enough to put him over suarez

If Suarez had been wearing a muzzle at the World Cup, we all know he'd be on that list. Serves him right.

really? can they put a person who bites on the pitch repeatedly on a global pedestal as the best player in the world? role models etc.

Of course they can. It's a best player list not best role model list. Suarez is easily in the top 3 or 4 in the world

fair play and respect is a big part of fifa's supposed modus operandi though. you cannot separate the person from the player

it's not the fair play award though, it's the footballer of the year award. obviously not on suarez's level, but one could argue how diego costa made it in too

They don't have to give him the bloody award, but to not acknowledge him as being in the top 20 or so is just ludicrous.

Lucy. You being in southampton, S Davis, is he now nailed in that midfield along w/ Schneiderlin? that rd mid spot is btn wanyama and cork it seems.
Is S Davis playing slightly more in front than Schneiderlin right, more offensive minded?

Any ideas what to do with this lot? 2FT, 0.4m in the bank. Lamela and Caulker need to go, ideally want to upgrade Lamela to a premium mid (Sanchez most likely). That would mean sacrificing Sterling I reckon. Other option is downgrade Lamela, and keep the cash to move Tadic on in a few weeks. Any ideas appreciated!

Lamela and Sterling to Sanchez and Downing?

Sanchez coming into great form, and Downing best fixtures over next 8....

Yeah, they're moves I'm considering. Not totally happy about losing Sterling, think that could come back to bite me, but with Costa seeming like he's going to be fit, seems the best option to upgrade Lamela.

      Caulker > Cameron

      Lamela > Eriksen

That's what I'd do (obviously wait til Friday as Costa may need to be downgraded pending his fitness)

If Costa isn't fit, you can easily downgrade him to afford Sanchez instead

Thanks for the idea. Already got a Stoke defender, so I'd probably go Chambers. Have you watched much Spurs? I was set on Lamela > Eriksen before this GW, but even with their decent fixtures, they don't seem to be producing. Didn't see the game this weekend, but I was hoping for good things from them, especially as I gave Lamela a rabona induced stay of execution!

    Krul (Mannone
    Baines, Clyne, Wisdom, (Moore, Dummett)
    Hazard, ADM, Sterling, Siggy (ElAhmedi)
    Aguero, Pelle, Welbz

    1FT, 0.7 ITB

This is what I currently have. Please help me make next move?

    A) Sterling and Welbz TO Downing (Fixtures wow) and COSTA (C)
    B) Mannone to Adrian
    C) ADM or Hazard to Sanchez
    D) Leave it and save FT for now

    Thank you.

I'd save it 100%. Great team. The thing I like about saving it is hopefully the midfield picture will be a lot clearer, and you can easily bring in Sanchez without a hit.

Thanks Grim Reaper. Saving seems like the sensible thing to do...

Although if Costa is declared fit I may just get him in v QPR and (C).... could be suicide if I dont and he gos wild?

Yeah, save it. Costa would be a tempter, but you have Hazard, and I suspect unless Mourinho gives Costa the 100% fit to start, folks might not captain him because of injury doubt.

    Krul
    Baines Bertrand Lovren Coloccini

No, gut feeling is no. Probably best to keep for now and save FT. He wont outscore the alternative by despite the fixture. See how he does and then reassess next week.

    Begovic McCarthy
    Baines Moreno Clyne Naylor Moore
    Sterling Siggy Fabregas Tadic Boyd
    Aguero Pelle Welbeck

1 FT, 2.3 itb. Any opinions massively appreciated.

I'd probably look at moving Siggy on. Could do it for free for Eriksen, or downgrade Moreno to fund the big hitters. If Siggy suddenly picks up again, you can move Tadic on to get him back in a couple of weeks when Southampton's fixtures turn.

I'm in no rush to get rid of costa. Sakho and Berahino have been my fall back guys for 4 weeks now and they've accrued me 65 points in that time. Beasts! When fit costa will just add to those points, no need to loose money, he'll b with me all season!
