Getting the right backline in your winter Wildcard will be crucial. For those of you either still with a Wildcard or looking to overhaul your backline here is a list of the best cheap defensive rotations, which offer good rotation until the end of the season. I have included some of the key players to consider as well as the ideal fixture list (upper case for home games) using these pairings.

    Thanks Jonty!

With Naughton passing his medical, it looks like a lot of these rotations are viable.

The Hull players mentioned are slightly above budget but that is due to the sheer amount of injuries they have.

Let me know if anyone has found any more. I may post an update involving triple rotations if it's something the community are interested in.

Do u think Monreal will get regular game time? Put him in instead of Chambers for AVL (H)

Who is the cheapest nailed on option in the stoke defence? When are shawcross and pieters expected back, and what will it do to wollshield's playing time?

    Fantastic analysis Jaffa, thanks mate.

If you do a triple rotation article I'd certainly be very interested to hear your thoughts.

Same as most others, changing my WC plans every few seconds 🙂 currently toying with 3 or even 4 cheap defenders to try and get some of the costlier mini-differentials further up the pitch.
