Fantasy Flutter – Gameweek 31

We’re entrusting Manchester United’s resurgent midfielder, Swansea City’s Icelandic playmaker and Tottenham’s imperious frontman to deliver the goods when we go head-to-head with Paddy this weekend.

Our attentions turn to Old Trafford as we call upon Marouane Fellaini to translate his goalscoring exploits for Belgium (three goals in two matches) into similar results when the Red Devils play host to Aston Villa later today. The much-maligned former Everton star bagged a goal and an assist in a Gameweek 29 clash against Spurs and will fancy his chances of breaching a Villains rearguard that’s managed a solitary clean sheet in their previous ten outings. Paddy are offering 7/2 odds on Fellaini to score and United to keep a clean sheet, encouraging us to part with our first £3.

Gylfi Sigurdsson is the target of our second wager of the week as the Swans welcome Hull City to the Liberty. The ex-Tottenham midfielder flourished against his former team in Gameweek 28 – notching a goal and an assist – and has mustered 10 attempts on goal in the last three Gameweeks. In light of the Tigers’ failure to score in their last two road ties, we’re willing to take up Paddy’s 9/2 odds on Sigurdsson to score and Swansea to keep a clean sheet, handing over another £3.

Our final, and favourite bet, tilts our head towards the irrepressible Harry Kane. The Spurs forward has tallied a staggering five braces in the last 11 Gameweeks – including a hat trick against Leicester City last time out – and will be in jubilant spirits for the visit to Burnley following a dream debut for England. Allied to that, the Clarets have scored only 14 goals at Turf Moor this campaign, offering hope that Tottenham can secure a rare clean sheet. All things considered, we’re happy to take up Paddy’s 16/1 offer on Kane to score two or more goals and Spurs to keep a clean sheet and invest our final £4.
