Dugout Discussion

The Dugout Discussion – Sunday

After Gylfi Sigurdsson earned Swansea a share of the spoils at Old Trafford, we turn our attentions to a couple of mid-afternoon encounters that both get underway at 2.05pm.

Three of the top five captain picks for Gameweek 35 are set to feature in Everton’s home encounter with Chelsea.

Up against a defence without a clean sheet in 11 Gameweeks, Romelu Lukaku is looking to score for the ninth successive league match at Goodison Park.

The Belgian was handed the armband by 432,000+ FPL managers on the back of 11 goals in the previous six in front of his own supporters.

Diego Costa carries the captaincy hopes of more than 401,000 after serving up a season-high 16 points at home to Southampton on Tuesday, while a run of three double-figure hauls in six have persuaded 232,000+ to opt for his Chelsea team-mate Eden Hazard.

Meanwhile, Sergio Aguero is the number one armband choice among FPL managers this week for Manchester City’s trip to struggling Middlesbrough.

Backed by over 488,000 FPL managers, the Argentine has netted in five of his last six league outings, with the only blanking arriving against Man United on Thursday night when he fired nine attempts on goal without success.

Intriguingly, Gabriel Jesus starts alongside his fellow South American for the first time this season after returning from injury with an appearance off the bench in Thursday’s Manchester derby.

With home clashes against Palace, Leicester and West Brom before a final day visit to Watford, Jesus could now play his way into our wildcard plans if he can plunder the points against Steve Agnew’s strugglers.

Both Leroy Sane and Raheem Sterling are among the subs for City, with the German’s run of 12 successive league outings coming to an end at the Riverside.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

I got the WC figured out :

    Jakupovic - Pickford
    Monreal - Stephens - Alonso - Gabriel - Love
    Carroll - King - Sanchez - Hazard - Eriksen
    Costa - Kane - Gabbi - (WC 0.2 ITB)

Then I'll take a -8 to do Monreal, Sanchez and Gabbi to Jesus, Vert and Ozil or someone. Fair enough?

I am sooo frustrated with Sanchez. If it wasn't a DGW, I'd drop him. He has done didly squat for weeks. At least Haz only assisted, who is the only other person I'd have for him.
