Midfielders from Leicester, Liverpool and Stoke are among our Gameweek 11 headliners, as are Swansea and Brighton’s budget strikers, while we also analyse Romelu Lukaku’s recent decline in output as the transfers out continue.

Just the decision of 3 premiums or not really. How are others handling this?

Lukaku, Morata, Kane
Personally I'm stuck on Kane, Morata, Vardy but if I had a WC I'd certainly be drafting all 3 (above) in.
That said, there seems to be some doubt in the FPL community over Lukaku and recent performances. If those doubts are shared by you then Aguero may be an alternative to Lukaku.

hey Andy, I think 3 premium strikers is ideal as it offers flexibility. If thing go wrong you can easily jump ship without the need for point hits
sat on kane, lukaku and morata atm (back pocket empty) which only allowed me 2 other premium attackers so I went with salah and sane
What formation are you planning on? I went for 4-3-3 in the end with 3 premium strikers 'MAK attack' as I've now dubbed it. I find theres is so much value in the 4.5 defenders compared to the cheap midfielders. Ward is keeping up with Groß and Richarlison.
3-4-3 currently but it's quite flexible.
May play 4-3-3 in GW12 for example, could actually play all 5 defenders!
Whos your 4th mid in the 3-4-3? I've seen a lot of RLC and likes as 4 mids surely the 4.5m defenders are much better to play every week?

I'm thinking of Kane, Aguero plus Rashford.
With the resurgence of consistent, quality midfield options i don't think 3 premium strikers is the way to go. Personally, i don't think Lukaku will outscore Rashford enough to justify the price difference.
I generally aim for a core of 2-2-2 and then see what is left.
There are still better value mids in my opinion. Possibly going 4-4-2 with niasse to come in if man city players get rotated
Pretty much the same here - but 3-5-2 will be the default for me
So much value in midfield, Kane & Lukaku till ge 14 and then Lukaku > Morata if anything different doesn't come up.
Oh, and Azpi, Otamendi & Jones at the back with Daniels & Mee.
I've got Kane, Morata and Niasse and will probably play 3-5-2 and 4-4-2 most weeks, but gives the option of 3-4-3 too.
Different kind of flexibility - would be a struggle to bring in a big boy up front, but I have 15 decent players to choose from and a variety of formations based on fixtures. Shouldn't need to take a hit because I'll always have a viable alternative on the bench
I'm thinking of going for something similar to hand the incoming fixture congestion. This is my current team...

Given the far better value in defence and midfield (currently) I've been pondering over switching Naughton > Azpi, Carroll > Silva/Sterling/Mahrez (allowing to switch to Pogba if needed), Kane > Niasse/DCL (leaving around 1.5m to upgrade where needed, for e.g Zaha to Pogba). I could do the same, keeping Kane and losing Aguero, as I may go Silva/Sterling along with Sane. Looking at the stats, even considering TPF (The Pep Factor) I think I prefer Aguero. I think.

The money ITB would allow me to switch from Kun to Kane if I need to. Or Morata to Luk. Those extra 2 points for a goal from midfield and a clean sheet is swaying me. Ridiculous.

I think Kane & Aguero (for now but probably Lukaku when on form) with either Morata and cheaper mid (Gross) or Abraham and Hazard.
Abraham and Hazard would be my preferred pick tho.

I thought the time may have come for you to hit Andy. I've gone for 2 up top Kane/Kun with Abraham, allows more into midfield with a budget but BAP/CS friendly defence all lower than Jones in price.
I've been at 3 premiums earlier on this season. I think if you consider the 8 attacking slots all together, the majority of picks in midfield offer better value: Salah, Mane, Coutinho, Silva, Sterling, Sane are all significantly cheaper than the premium forwards. KDB and Hazard also have good potential.
No penalties for the likes of Morata, Lukaku and Jesus really dampens their appeal imo, so Kane + Aguero for me.

Also rashford could be a decent punt. As a UTD fan it would be good to get opinions on Rashford? I don't feel lukaku is worth 11.5

I have 7 of those 8 - have Gross over Mane to spend a little more in defence - Jones, Azpi, 3 x 4.5
I have 4 4.5 plus jones.
Essentially mane and 4.5 vs gross and Azpi.
I like mane more for explosiveness but both good options.

my 3rd striker is currently Gray , i plan on keeping him for his 2 nice fixtures until Deeney is back , after that though i'm considering getting rid of him and Erickson if he continues to disappoint , for Fernandinho & Laca , that would then leave me with a starting 11 of

for me Fernandinho is the key to getting 3 premium strikers cos he's not dead weight like others in that price bracket as he plays for an ultra attacking City side , so he should continue to pitch in with his share of goals and assists , even if he is their deepest lying defensive midfielder
Also on WC currently. I can actually see myself playing a 5-3-2 most weeks as I think there’s more value in my 3rd, 4th & 5th defenders (Dann, Daniels, Mee) than there is my 4th & 5th mids and 3rd striker (RLC, Surman, Niasse).
Simon Francis can be a great punt at 4.4!

Its not that simple. Scored similarly over last 2 games, nothing to say Sane doesn't get a rest at some point.
Price difference to consider too
Sterling for me, explosive for 1 million cheaper (due to price rises and falls). Even if he comes on late, City have run opponents ragged by then so every chance he pops up with a goal

I got Sterling in GW8 for £8m. I'm keeping on Wildcard. He is unbelievably good value.
Sterling started 4 games back to back (GW5-8) and was seeming nailed then started 1/3 (GW9-11). Although yes Sane is the better player, what’s to say the same won’t happen to him? I am okay with sterling’s rotation factor given his price (picked him up for 7.9) but now Sane at 8.9 seems a lot IF he isn’t 100% nailed. Next few games should determine if he is truely nailed imo.
Just double up without Kun/Jesus.
They are 2mil less then the front 2, so if one gets benched occasionally it's easier to deal with it.

I have both Sterling and Sane, I think this is ideal as you have 99.9% chance at least one will always get a start.
I also have Kun but tempted to trade for Morata, wise? Other striker is Kane but I'd like 2 nailed strikers to rotate the armband with, Kun too risky

Other than the fixtures, the only reason im keeping lukaku for gw12 is mainly because my team isnt in the position were I can make such a luxury transfer
after taking out jesus last week I had no city attack so have to rectify that

last 4 starts in pl Aguero- 6 goals 2 assists. Lukaku- 2 assists GIven the form Aguero is in and city scoring for fun surely eveh if he starts 3 of next 4 i fancy him to outscore lukaku

I agree, don't sell Otamendi. He's great value. Save, you have Kiko on the bench in case something comes up.

Looks good. V similar to mine - I've spent a little more in defence and got Niasse over Murray - looks like you'd play 3-5-2 most of the time anyway and not sure about Brighton double up in attack.
I don't know really who is the better option. Aguero scored more but has less security. Lukaku scored poorly these last few weeks but we all expected that. (I have Kane and Morata)
Thanks, yes I was looking at Niasse. Murray may not stay but there was a chance he could have a double rise, been happy with Groß and not keen on a double Brighton attack every week.
Festive fixtures only thing that is stopping me from going to Aguero, he could miss / not start a handful of games but I know he is a great option.

Think most of us have. Probably stick to Kane away and hope Morata/Salah have decent home fixtures is my ploy.
I don't think I can take another Kane (C) blank. But know he'll punish me if I ignore him.
Might use a similar tactic, Eriksen to Salah is my GW12 transfer atm.
